Marlene's Blog Candy

As promised I'm back, albeit a little late, but I've actually had an opportunity to make a few cards today and catch up on some of the challenges. I've got one to post tonight but will have to photograph the others tomorrow morning in the daylight.

This card is for Marlene's blog candy....she's got some wonderful candy on offer and to take part, all you have to do is make a card in her favourite colour green, using some ribbon. Now, I have to admit that I am really out of my comfort zone using green.....don't know why, but I try to avoid it if I can. Because of this, I've kept the card very simple and in fact, based my previous card for Tilda & Co., on this one.

For this card, I've used Edwin sat on his pencil again, coloured with Prismas and Sansodor with glamour dust on his wings. He has been cut and embossed with Nestabilities and a Woodware sentiment stamped underneath him. I've used Pink Petticoat olive green designs printed onto lightweight c.s. with the plain piece embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. White grosgrain ribbon from Dovecraft was used and image was added with foam pads.

Week 2 of Techniques

It’s the second week of Tando’s FB Live and the tutorial was by Jane Royston. This week the colours are more my style. I didn’t have the exact supplies so had to improvise a little. This was the end result... I love doing these tutorials.  I put aside time for me on a Saturday morning and just get lost in the moment...all worries are forgotten for an hour or so.  I would highly recommend it.

Last of the Whipper Snappers (for the moment!!)

Morning all......is it morning already?!! Had a very hectic night.....got woken up at 1.30 am with the sound of vomit bouncing off the landing carpet!! Sam wasn't very well and didn't quite make it to the bathroom so spent most of the early hours of this morning trying to clean the landing carpet, the carpet in his bedroom, washing bedclothes and cleaning him up!!! Eventually got to bed at 4.30 am then was woken at 9.15 this morning by Sam asking me if I was getting up because his tummy was empty and he was hungry!!! Got to love 'em!! Anyway, at least he's feeling better. Got to try and phone the Carpet Cleaner in a minute and order Sam a new mattress as his is ruined....oh the fun of being a Mother!! Back to business now, here's a card I made during the week with one of my new Whipper Snapper arrivals. I don't know how often I will use this stamp but it was a case of "ooh, it's so sweet, I've just got to have it!!" I've coloured the snai...
