Bet You Thought I Forgot!!

Of course I didn't!! I've had a very emotionally draining day today but have decided I'm not going to let the b******* grind me down......or should that be singular!!! So here are some(!) of the promised cards with a few more to show tomorrow - that's not groaning I hear is it!!!! Stamps: High Hopes, Magnolia, Stampin Up, Doodlebug Colouring: Promarkers Papers: My Minds Eye, Blonde Moments Extras: Glamour Dust, SU Scallop Punch, SU Corner Rounder I think you can tell I was rushing them a bit as there aren't any embellishments on them, however, I did manage to finish them all and posted them Friday whoo hoo!! As mentioned, few different ones to show tomorrow so I'm going to sit down and try and relax now and watch the final of Strictly - I'm suffering a bit as I think my infection in my tooth has started up again so may have to get back to the Dentist before Christmas. Have a great evening and GOOD LUCK LISA AND BRENDON!!!!

Stamp Something Red, Green and Gold!

Crikey, it's Friday already - I wish I could stop the clock for a week so I could catch up! It's challenge time on Stamp Something and this week the challenge is "red, green and gold". Suits me as I've got a zillion Christmas cards still to make!! Stamps: Magnolia, Penny Black Colouring: Promarkers Papers: Blonde Moments Extras: Glamour Dust, Bell from Lindt Easter Bunny! Thought that the "gold" parts looked a bit too yellow, so found a little gold bell I was hiding away in my stash - knew it would come in handy for something! This week's challenge is being sponsored by our very own Denise of Whimsy Stamps so well worth entering!

Sketch Something!

It's Friday which means it's time for the Stamp Something Challenge! This week it's a sketch by the very talented Katharina. I must admit, this did cause me a few problems because I don't normally use circles - rectangles, squares, ovals yes, but not circles! I decided to use my other new duck from High Hopes.....I think he looks so cheeky!.......and coloured him with Prismas and Sansodor then cut him out using the circles Nestabilities and embossed the edge. Also cut out a larger circle in the lime Bazzill c.s. and added the sentiment from Studio G (CCT prize) and three small flowers stickers from Sue Dreamer. Papers are from Blonde Moments and apricot c.s. is Bazzill Bling. Ribbon is SU Certainly Celery. Still trying to sort and hide my craft stash before Tony gets home....I'm getting there slowly! However, been internet shopping like crazy so when he's home and I'm not buying anything he will think "wow, isn't she good"!!!! Have a great day...

Dunno Ducky!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PHIL! It's my Brother's birthday today and like many people, I always find it difficult to make a male card so thought I would ink up my Dunno Ducky from High Hopes and this is the result..... The base of the card has been covered with Blonde Moments DP and I made a panel using Bazzill Bling c.s. embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The duck has been coloured with Prismas and Sansodor and cut out with my round Nestabilities. Added some Doodlebug ribbon and some Bazzill brads and was going to use my PB sentiment "Another Birthday? Weren't you old enough last year?!!", however, it was too big for the card so just made the first part of the sentiment on the computer and used the second part on the insert. The colours of the card have come out a bit dull as it's alot more brighter IRL. Trying to make the most of the weather today as they've given heavy rain tomorrow!

A Quick Birthday Card

This card was quickly made as you will see by the colouring....oops, went over the lines a bit but was in a bit of a rush as I made it late Friday night for a party Sam was going to on Saturday. I've used my Tilda with balloons (which I haven't actually used before, even though I've had her for a while!) and coloured her with Prismas and Sansodor and added some glaze to the balloons and Glamour Dust to her wings. She has been layered onto mirricard (what else!!) and Bazzill c.s. and did some doodling around the edges. DP is from Blonde Moments and sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. Threaded the velvet ribbon (which was from my stash) through the image using my SU slot punch. Sticky gems are from Papermania.

First Somethings

Well the day has finally arrived.....it's the first challenge on Stamp Something and it's really quite exciting for me as this is my first go as a DT Member.....hope I don't disappoint! The theme this week is "Firsts" and decided on baby cards.....I'm a sucker for them and I find that if I make one for a girl, I just have to make another on a boy theme so here are my contributions..... This is another first for me.....my first buckle card! The stamp is Baby Tingla from Magnolia, coloured with Prismas and Sansodor with Glamour Dust added to her wings. She was then cut out and fixed onto the buckle. Papers are from the Sugar Dumpling collection at Blonde Moments layered with mirricard and Bazzill c.s. Sugar and Spice sentiment is computer generated and layered onto same c.s. with some doodling, flower is from W.H. Smith with pearl brad from Papermania. My second card was to show a clean and simple layout. I got the idea for this card from my friend Jose who does...

I've Got Something To Show!!!

Well, at long last I've finally got something to show and this is down to the help my friend Jose has given me.....she volunteered to edit my photos for me until I get the appropriate software loaded onto Lewis's PC. Thank you so much Jose....you really are a great friend....and not forgetting John too (her husband!) whose computer knowledge has been invaluable and his patience with me has been amazing!!!! I know I missed the deadline for this challenge but am slowly working my way through them so I can catch up - the theme before last on Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge blog was May Celebrations and here is my little creation. This Tilda image was sent to me by Annie and I've coloured her with Prismas and Sansodor, paper is a scrap piece of Blonde Moments Sugar Dumpling and flowers are a variety from my stash with Papermania sticky gems added to the centres. Wording is Doodlebug rub-ons. It's been a hectic week for me with loads still to do for Sam's party on Sa...

Last of the Whipper Snappers (for the moment!!)

Morning all......is it morning already?!! Had a very hectic night.....got woken up at 1.30 am with the sound of vomit bouncing off the landing carpet!! Sam wasn't very well and didn't quite make it to the bathroom so spent most of the early hours of this morning trying to clean the landing carpet, the carpet in his bedroom, washing bedclothes and cleaning him up!!! Eventually got to bed at 4.30 am then was woken at 9.15 this morning by Sam asking me if I was getting up because his tummy was empty and he was hungry!!! Got to love 'em!! Anyway, at least he's feeling better. Got to try and phone the Carpet Cleaner in a minute and order Sam a new mattress as his is ruined....oh the fun of being a Mother!! Back to business now, here's a card I made during the week with one of my new Whipper Snapper arrivals. I don't know how often I will use this stamp but it was a case of "ooh, it's so sweet, I've just got to have it!!" I've coloured the snai...

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun & Katharina's Sketch #2

Really on a roll at the moment....it's amazing what the sound of flushing can do to your mojo!! As I explained earlier, Sam is off school today and he's such a good boy that he let's me get on with what I have to do and quite happily plays so managed to complete the PTW challenge this morning and when I had finished it, noticed that it fitted in nicely with the CCT challenge this week. I don't often complete more than one challenge with one card so was very pleased with myself! The PTW challenge this week is another fabulous sketch by Katharina..... ....and the challenge on CCT is to make a card for the girlies, so this is what I came up with..... I've used another of my new Whipper Snapper stamps for this one and this cute little mouse has been coloured with Prismas and Sansodor with some Glamour Dust added to the flowers. Can you guess I'm really lovin' these Blonde Moments Sugar Dumpling papers at the moment (!) and I just love the effect the mirricard ha...

Debbie's Blog Candy and a Sketch from Katharina

Another sunny day in Weymouth again today even though it did rain during the night. However, not so sunny inside the house(!)....plumbing is still not fixed as the ordered part didn't turn up - just wondering how long this is going to go on for as the Plumber goes on holiday in a couple of weeks!! Anyway, back to the crafting......this card is one I made after seeing a sketch which Katharina put on her blog (it's not the PTW one....still working on that!) and when I'd finished it, thought it would be ideal for Debbie's birthday blog candy. Debbie's challenge is to make a girly card with ribbon on it and this is Katharina's sketch..... Always have to think a bit if there's more than two layers! but ended up with this..... I've used my new Penny Black stamp which arrived last week and coloured the hedgehog with Brushables, adding some Glamour Dust to the flowers. The sentiment is from the Just Hatched set at Papertrey Ink and the tiny hearts are from Pap...

Squeaky Baker!

Ila has some gorgeous blog candy on offer and to enter, you have to make a card following this sketch..... I've had good post days all this week so decided to use one of my new Whipper Snapper stamps called Squeaky Baker. I've been promising myself this stamp for ages and finally treated myself and I just love him!! Also had a new supply of Blonde Moments Sugar Dumpling paper arrive so decided to use both of these in my card. You'll probably have to click on the card to get a better look as I really don't think the photo is that good. I've coloured the little chap with Prismas and Sansodor and added glamour dust to some of the cakes. He's layered onto mirricard and Bazzill c.s. Papers are Blonde Moments, Sticky Gems are Papermania, Flower is W.H. Smith, jewelled brad is Papermania or Dovecraft (sorry, can never remember which one it is!) and sentiment is Woodware.

Lavender Tilda

This card is one I've made for a blogging buddy's birthday - Happy Birthday Jilli! - and I was really quite pleased with the result. I've used the same layout for my All That Glitters card on PTW. The image is one that I received from Sue and I've coloured her with Prismas and Sansodor with Glamour dust on her wings. The stamp is called Harvest Tilda but I saw the idea of making it Lavender a little while ago and thought I'd give it a try. The layering was made using Blonde Moments Sugar Dumpling paper, mirricard and Bazzill Bling c.s. The flower is from W.H. Smith and the brad is from Papermania. The sentiment is from Woodware.

All That Glitters!

The challenge on PTW this week is All That Glitters and is simply "to use glitter on your projects". For this card, I've used a Magnolia image which was kindly sent to me by Lilian and I've coloured her with Prismas and Sansodor and added Glamour Dust to her wings, the hearts in the basket and the flurry of hearts she is catching. A sentiment from Woodware was added to the side of the image. The card has been layered with paper from the Blonde Moments Sugar Dumpling collection (which I am just lovin' at the moment!), Bazzill c.s. and mirricard to give it an extra bit of "bling"! Finally a glittery flower from Doodlebug was added with a jewel brad from Papermania.
