Another Panduro and an Award!

Had another attempt at a card when I got back from school yesterday and much happier with this one. Decided to go for a very basic layout and this time, didn't use so much green! I've mentioned before that I'm really out of my comfort zone with the colour green, however, seem to have been making quite a few green cards recently. I already had this Panduro image coloured in so just matted her onto red Bazzill c.s. Layered some SU DP and covered the join with some Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue grosgrain ribbon. Sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly which was layered onto red Bazzill scallop using SU punch. Finally, added two brads from my stash. I recently received this fantastic award from Erin ......... The rules of this award are:- This fab award is given to blogs which - inspire you, make you smile and laugh, or maybe give amazing information, a great read~ has an amazing design and any other reasons you can think of that makes them uber amazing! The rules of this award ...

A Card At Last!

Sorry I haven't been posting for a little while but my mojo did a runner, plus I had alot of paperwork to sort through as well. Anyway, managed to put a card together this morning. I just love these stamps from Panduro and they're a joy to colour! Used my PM's (of course!) with the usual doodling around the edges and used my Sakura glaze pen on the balloons to give them a bit of a shiney effect, although you can't see it in this photo! Papers are from SU and I'm really lovin' them so you will be seeing alot more of them! Cardstock is Bazzill as is the brad and flower is Prima. Sentiment is Woodware and ribbon is from Hobbycraft. I have received another fabulous award from Debi ......thank you so much and sorry, once again, that it's taken me a while to add it to my blog. Also had some good news - I passed my Database exam on Saturday - 100%, no mistakes!!! I really knuckled down and did all the coursework in just over one day (and got 100% in that too!). Go...

Some Nice News (for a change!)

Just thought you would like to know that my Valentine's mailboxes have been showcased on Elizabeth's blog (Elzybells). I was really chuffed when she e-mailed me to say she would like to do this, so thank you so much Elizabeth. Talking of the mailboxes, I have had a couple of questions about them. Firstly, I've no idea if they can be bought in the UK as mine were a gift from a friend, however, do know they are quite common in the States at places such as Michaels. I'm afraid I don't know the name of the shop I bought the sweets from....I did have a carrier bag from there and was telling Jilli, however, think I must have put it straight in the bin.....silly mare! Could be somewhere like Home Sense???? My other piece of nice news is that the lovely Debi has given me this award - Thanks so much Debi and sorry it's taken me so long to get around to putting it on my blog.....just had so much going on in my life lately. Michelle has some very yummy blog candy up for ...

Lucky Me!

No card to show today and a quick posting as Vanessa and her family are coming to visit today, however, Amanda tagged me a couple of days ago and thought I would join in. Basically, you have to go into your Pictures file and pick the 6th folder and then the 6th photo and this is mine. It's my big boy Sam making a chocolate cake - this was taken last year sometime - he just loves baking (as does Lewis!) and in fact, Lewis was in the kitchen yesterday with his Dad making Drop Scones (although couldn't get over how quickly they whizzed through the recipe, must have been in a hurry to go somewhere pmsl!) - his own recipe! Delicious!! Now have to tag six people - I know alot of you have already done this so please feel free to not take part if you have already done so. My choice is Vanessa (ha! ha!), Jilli , Jackie , Denise , Erin and Jose . I would also like to show a beautiful card I received from Celine - she sent me some Whiff of Joy images as I only own three so thank you so ...

A Couple of Awards!

Firstly, I wanted to say a big thank you to all those ladies who have been buying stamps from me - I still have loads to sell but may put them straight on E-bay.....will have to ponder on that one! Well, 2009 is no different from last year in that I still get behind with my e-mails and blogging so once again, trying hard to catch up! I received this award from two talented ladies Jackie and Erin so thank you so much for thinking of me and you know what, you can both take it back because I love your work! Well now I'm going to surprise you all because at this point I usually say "I will have a think about this and blah, blah, blah......" but guess what? I've actually thought about it and I'm ready to pass it on. It is difficult choosing from so many fabulous blogs but I would like to pass this on to Ila , Deb, Jilli, Marlene and Amanda - I find all your work so inspiring and it encourages me to "have a go". Have been busy making a few cards today so...

I've Been A Naughty Girl!

I owe a big apology to Lesley and Amanda - they were kind enough to pass on some awards to me last month and I've been meaning to add them to my blog but with one thing and another, just haven't found the time until now that is. Thank you so much ladies....it's so nice of you to think of me. I'm hopeless at passing these on as I never want to upset anyone as I visit such fantastic blogs, however, think I may have got out of it because most people have already received them! One of the awards did mention that you had to list five things you are addicted to.....well that one's dead easy for me, apart from smoking (I'm ashamed to say!), the answer is absolutely nothing!!! There are alot of things I like and even, really like, but can always live without them! Sorry, I've had nothing to show for a while but have been busy sorting things out so will be back soon.

Blog Candy and an Award!

I'm trying to catch up with my blogging tonight as I have another busy day again tomorrow so first of all I'd like to point you in the direction of Dawny P's blog. Dawny will be celebrating a "special" birthday on Monday.....bless her.....know exactly how you must feel sweetie!!!, fight it all the way I say! She is offering up some yummy candy and all you have to do is leave a comment and link it to your blog....simple as that. I recently received an award from Debi ........ "These blogs invest and believe in PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers, who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body...

Catching Up (again!!)

Lovely lie in for all of us today - we don't seem to have had one of those in a while! - so while I'm sat here with my hair in a towel....yes, I've just got out of the shower, thought I would try and catch up with my blogging. Managed to visit some of the blogs last night whilst watching "I'm A Celebrity" (don't know who I dislike the most, Nicola or David!!) and will visit the rest over the next couple of days. I received an award from the talented Zoe a little while ago - thank you so much Zoe and big apologies for not dealing with it sooner. It's so nice to be appreciated even if I have been a bad blogger!! Because I'm so late in posting this, I think most of you have already received it, so I would like to pass it on to all you loyal crafting buddies who have still been visiting me and leaving comments even though I have been AWOL! Next, there's some gorgeous candy up for grabs from Ila - I just love her work and wish I could produce card...

Catching Up!

I'm slowly beginning to catch up on my blogging....bit by bit...and wanted to share a couple of awards I received this past week. The Happy Autumn award comes from Jo and the following award comes from Lesley ..... Thank you so much girls, it really is great to know that people like my blog and my work even though I haven't done that much lately!!!

Life is so Hectic!!

Well, I've finally managed to find time to do a posting.....still no card to share but have sorted some stuff out and hope to put one together tonight, all being well! The weather has changed today.....strong winds and rain....such a difference from the weekend where it was absolutely gorgeous.....even managed to lie out in my bikini and top up my tan! Finished the weekend off with a gorgeous roast dinner (my favourite!) - I'll let you into a little secret.....Tony's gravy is to die for! Anyway, enough of the ramblings and back to business! Have received some lovely things over the last few weeks so it's catch up time. Firstly, Michelle organised a Secret Sister swap and look what I got....... ....lots of lovely goodies to play with and the fabulous folder is filled with lots of stamped images! So, a BIG thank you to whoever my Secret Sister is. I should find out soon as I think I've delayed things a bit!! I've also received two awards over the last couple of we...

Lucky Me!!

No, I haven't won the Lottery, although I live in hope lol!! However, I did receive this award last week from the lovely Sue - thanks so much Sue and sorry I'm so late in posting this but I'm sure you'll understand the reasons, and I'm sending it right back to you 'cause I love your blog as well!! Right, I've got to pass this on to seven blogs which I love and that is an impossible task! However, will pick out seven even though there are so many more!! Because I am late posting this, I think alot of you have already received this so please don't feel obliged to pass it on if you've already done it. I'm choosing the following blogs because their work really inspires me and they also bring a smile to my face! Dawn , Denise , Fran , Ila, Jose , Sue and Vanessa. Hope you're all having a great weekend.

A Card For Molly

Another birthday party for Sam today so thought I would show the card I've made for his friend Molly. Not too sure about this one but it will do! The image is called Eloise Greengrass from Bella and she has been coloured with Promarkers with lots of Glamour Dust added! Cardstock is Bazzill and DP is Basic Grey. Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and ribbon is from my stash. Used my circle Nestabilities for the image and backing and my SU corner rounder for the corners of the card. I am trying so hard to catch up on all my crafting/blogging jobs and would like to show two more awards I've received. This one was from Dawny P........ and this one was from Alex...... Thank you so much girls.....going to have a good think about who to pass it on to as I've just done one and it always takes me forever to decide as there are so many lovely, kind and talented people out there. Talking of Alex , I recently left a comment on someone's blog about those gorgeous little mail boxes whi...

Look What I Got!

Hi all! Starting to get myself together again......haven't done any crafting this week apart from my DT work for Stamp Something which I will post tomorrow, however, had a bit of a "get organised" day today and started sorting my stamps out. Mounted all my new High Hopes which arrived last week and stamped each and every one of them and then scanned them to my computer. Also did the same for my Bellas (although there's no so many of those lol!) and my Penny Blacks. Sugar Nellies are planned for tomorrow although I keep looking at my Magnolias and then putting them back again.....really didn't think I had THAT many and nearly half of them have never been used!! Do you think I may have a problem ? lol!!!! Anyway, would like to share the award I received three times!! It really did cheer me up to know I've got such good blogging buddies out there, as I have been feeling a little down in the mouth lately!! I received this from three ladies (and I use the term loo...

Cat in a Hammock Pt II, An Award, Lots of Blog Candy and the Missing Card!!

Had a lovely relaxing morning......I actually had a lie in for the first time in over a year and it was heaven!! The sun is out this morning after all the rain we had yesterday but it's very windy, however, should be OK for Sam's School Fete this afternoon. I mentioned last week that when I make a card, I am trying to do a second one using the same stamp and papers so thought I would show the card I had made when I did the Stamp Something challenge. This one doesn't have so much bling on it......just some glitter and mirricard and must admit, I like this one better. The image is Penny Black, coloured in the same way - Brushables and plenty of glitter, layered onto mirricard and Pink Petticoat papers. Sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly, flower is Prima Sprite and sticky gems are from Papermania. My blogging buddy Jackie, has also given me this award.... .....wow, can't believe it as that's the sixth time I have been awarded this.....what an honour and thanks so much Ja...

Aren't I A Lucky Girl!!

Sorry I couldn't do my posting yesterday but I did try! I sat down to edit the photos to load them on and my PSP wouldn't load properly for some bizarre reason. Anyway, it's all sorted now so here we go.....got lots to show - not from me but from all you kind people out there! I'll start with the card I made recently for yet another kids birthday party lol! Wasn't that pleased with this one as it was VERY rushed and usually, when I'm not happy with a card, I will throw it to one side and start again but I really didn't have time with this one so had to settle for this. The image is Stampendous (just love those cheeky monkies!) and I've coloured it with Brushables, c.s. is Bazzill, DP is Doodlebug, sentiment is from High Hopes and brads and ribbon are from my stash. Crikey, that was quick!!! Look what I won recently! Jenny at Stamping Moments held a blog candy competition recently and I couldn't believe it when I won! It felt like Christmas opening u...
