Easter Treats

Here are a couple of little Easter pouches, filled with chocolate eggs, which I made for a couple of friends. The papers and sentiments, as well as the original design/idea of the pouches is from Pink Petticoat - I just added some raffia, glue and a couple of punches. Super quick and super easy to make!

Here's One I Pinched Earlier!

Needed to make quite a few simple cards to say thank you and remember seeing a card on Leann's blog which she featured for Pink Petticoat. Needless to say, I bought the images and mine isn't quite as good as hers as no stitching etc but was really pleased with the end result. I love Leann's work and wish I could create with such charm.

Catching Up (again!!)

Lovely lie in for all of us today - we don't seem to have had one of those in a while! - so while I'm sat here with my hair in a towel....yes, I've just got out of the shower, thought I would try and catch up with my blogging. Managed to visit some of the blogs last night whilst watching "I'm A Celebrity" (don't know who I dislike the most, Nicola or David!!) and will visit the rest over the next couple of days. I received an award from the talented Zoe a little while ago - thank you so much Zoe and big apologies for not dealing with it sooner. It's so nice to be appreciated even if I have been a bad blogger!! Because I'm so late in posting this, I think most of you have already received it, so I would like to pass it on to all you loyal crafting buddies who have still been visiting me and leaving comments even though I have been AWOL! Next, there's some gorgeous candy up for grabs from Ila - I just love her work and wish I could produce card...

Something for the Birds

Friday already which means it's time for another Stamp Something challenge and this week it's Something for the Birds. Wasn't sure if I interpreted this one correctly and after a quick scan through my stamps, found this totally cute duck from Penny Black and decided that it was about time I started on my Christmas cards. The image is called Carolling Duck and is from Penny Black and I've coloured him with Promarkers and added some Glamour Dust to his hat. Red c.s. is from Stampin Up and blue c.s. is Bazzill and has been run through with the Cuttlebug Snowflakes folder. DP is Papermania which I won from Jenny . Sentiment is Pink Petticoat, flowers and ribbon are from Poppicrafts and brads are from my stash (Papermania I think!). There's more gorgeous candy on offer again this week so well worth a visit!!

Soggy Sunday!!

Well, we survived the high winds and rain yesterday. Today started off well....sunshine and no winds....however, it's now started raining again!! Guess the Summer is over! Tony has popped up his Mum's with the boys so thought I would make the most of the time and post this card which I made yesterday morning. Must apologise for the poor picture, however, it is so dark here at the moment, found it difficult to find enough light to take the photo. The image is H & S and was a RAK and I've coloured her with Promarkers. Did a bit of paper pricking around the edges before mounting her onto blue card. The plain and patterned card are both Pink Petticoat. The sentiment is a digital download and again, has been mounted onto the same blue card. Finally I added a little embellishment I made myself. Not sure what you call it but got the idea from Jose who gave me the pins and some of the beads - the blue beads are from Craft Central. Oops, nearly forgot, sticky gems are from Pap...

Stamp Something Inspiration

Oops, sorry, got to apologise yet again for not being around. However, have been so busy sorting out matters in my personal life, that I just didn't have the time or inclination to make anything. However, have managed to give myself a kick up the backside and got back to working with the rest of the DT on Stamp Something. This week's challenge is set by Melissa and is an inspiration challenge. This is the picture you have to take your ideas from...... ......and this is my interpretation of it...... I'm ashamed to say I've had this stamp for years and have never used it before!! It's from Stamps Happen and called "If men could read". I've coloured her with Promarkers and added some doodling around the edges before matting it onto some SU Real Red c.s. Used the SU corner rounder punch to make the scalloped edge. Papers are from Pink Petticoat Lola's Boudoir collection and ribbon is from Doodlebug. Not sure about the oversized brads but think they c...

Still Alive & Kicking!!

Hi!! Sorry for the lack of postings but thanks for hanging in there and a HUGE thank you to Dawn because after our chat this morning, she inspired me to get going again and OMG, did she make me laugh!! What colour hair do you have today Dawn?!!!! Thanks also to Jose....you are just so kind to me and the boys :0) Anyway, here's the card I put together today - nothing special, just very simple to get me started. The image is High Hopes, coloured with Promarkers with some doodling around the edges. Papers are Pink Petticoat printed onto lightweight c.s. and the plain blue piece has been put through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly and has been layered onto blue c.s. which was cut with SU scalloped punch and I cut into it to give the flower effect and used a white gel pen to add the dots. Finally, added some Papermania sticky gems. Thanks for looking.

Sweeping Tilda

Here's another folder which I made a couple of weeks ago to send some images and which I haven't shown on my blog yet. The image is Magnolia which I've coloured with Promarkers. Papers are Pink Petticoat printed onto lightweight cardstock and rounded all corners with an SU punch. Used the SU slot punch to attach the organza ribbon which was from my stash and finally, added some sticky gems from Papermania. Same layout as I've used before but finding this to be quite simple and effective. Thanks everyone for bearing with me.......am beginning to get the urge to do some colouring so you never know, might have something new to share with you soon. Hope the weather is a bit better where you are - you would think we were in the middle of winter here.......torrential rain, strong winds and just a bit chilly!!!

A Quick Hello!

As promised, thought I should post something on here and as I mentioned before, here's a folder I made a little while ago as unfortunately, haven't been feeling much like creating at the moment :( I'm afraid my mojo has gone AWOL! The image is Magnolia and was a RAK from Vanessa. I've coloured him with Promarkers and mounted him onto Bazzill c.s. Papers are from Pink Petticoat and have been printed onto card to give them more substance. Ribbon, which is from my stash, has been threaded through the card using the SU slot punch. Finally, all corners were rounded with an SU punch.

A Couple of Folders

Thought I would show a couple of folders I made recently for my friends Jose and Jilli. I needed to send some images and I always find this folder idea from Katharina is so quick and easy to make. Do the colours and papers look familiar? lol!! I actually made this first before I made the card on my last posting and liked the colours so much that I decided to base my last card on it. The image is Magnolia, coloured with Promarkers and a little Glamour Dust on her wings. Papers are Pink Petticoat printed onto lightweight cardstock, and sticky gems are Papermania. Ribbon is from my stash and have used the SU slot punch to attach it to the card. This one is exactly the same but just used a different Magnolia image and different papers from Pink Petticoat and some mirricard for layering. Finally, added Stickles to the bubbles. Must get on with some housework today and guess what?.....the sun has just emerged from behind all the clouds so hopefully might get some washing dry today!!

Pamper Yourself!

The card I'm posting today is for a friend's daughter who has turned 13 today so Happy Birthday Lisa!! I decided on an "older" themed card as she is very grown up for her age and into all the make-up and pampering which us ladies love but never have much time for!!! It looks like I've put this together very crooked, however, it's fine in real life - just must be the angle at which I took the photo! Anyway, I've used Underthehood Bella and coloured her with Promarkers and added a little Glamour Dust to the cupcake. Papers are from Pink Petticoat and cardstock is Bazzill. Sentiment is from MFT and I've punched a scallop (SU), layered the sentiment, then cut into the scallop for the flowery effect. Sticky gems are from Papermania and finally, used SU corner rounder punch for various corners on the card I've now got to walk up to the other end of the village and deliver this as I was late in making it - it's pouring with rain and just to make...

Eloise The Third!

Ok, I'm sorry, it's Eloise again! However, I'd stamped her out a few times and it seemed a shame not to colour her in so here's the finished card and I promise, no more Eloise for a little while! She has been coloured with Promarkers and all papers are Pink Petticoat printed on lightweight cardstock. I've made a scalloped edge on the spotty card (which you can hardly see!!) using my SU corner rounder punch. Ribbon is from Dovecraft, sticky gems are Papermania and sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. Managed to get quite alot done yesterday as all it did here was rain.....was even sat in bed at 8.00 am this morning colouring images while everyone else had a lie in!! However, the sun is out today so must get on with some washing. Have a great day!

Thank You!

The Stamp Something challenge for this week is "Thank You"......it's to say thank you to everyone who took part in the Guest Designer competition by entering or by voting, so thank you all :) The image was part of a RAK I received and I absolutely love it.....so much so, that I've bought the set! They're Panduro and there's plenty of other cuties in the set! I've coloured her with Promarkers and then layered her onto SU Brocade Blue c.s. and Pink Petticoat Bluebell papers which have been printed onto lightweight c.s. Used the SU slot punch on one panel and threaded through some grosgrain ribbon from Dovecraft. Sentiment stamp is from SU, as is the scallop punch which I have used on Brocade Blue c.s. and cut into it to make it look more like a flower. I've got a feeling you're going to be seeing alot more "blue" cards as I'm really lovin' this range of papers at the moment! Hope you all have a great weekend.

I'm Still Alive!!

Hi all, so sorry I haven't been around for a while but have had a few issues to deal with which are still ongoing. Anyway, I promise I will try and catch up over the next few days as I've got a couple of things to show. Talking of things to show, here's a card I made for my pal, Vanessa , and realised that it fitted in with the CCT challenge for this week. Hope you got the joke Vanessa lol!! The theme is "In The House" and have kept this very simple because of lack of time! Images are from a RAK and think they are Hanna stamps, although not too sure! Coloured with Promarkers and I've added some Glossy Accents to the bottle to give it the "plastic" look. Cardstock is Brocade Blue from SU and DP is part of the Bluebell range from Pink Petticoat. Ribbon is from Dovecraft. Must rush now as me and Sam are off to Yeovil to see Jose and Lewis (who has been staying with her this week). Will be back very soon and thanks for bearing with me!

What A Relief!!

Posting this one quite early for me as I didn't get an awful lot of sleep - was worried about the baby seagull last night as he was still in our garden when I went to bed and I was afraid the foxes or badgers might eat him! Anyway woke this morning to see an empty garden which wasn't covered in feathers - thank goodness!! Looks like he made it over a couple of fences and is a bit closer to his nest now! Back to cards, and here's one I made yesterday because I couldn't get my washing done! The image which is Magnolia, was stamped for me by Vanessa and I coloured it with Promarkers. Papers are from Pink Petticoat and layered with my favourite mirricard! Sentiment is from Woodware and flowers and brad are from my stash. It's actually alot pinker IRL but I do love this paper.....one of my favourites I think! Off to get the boys ready for school now - have a good day.

Cat in a Hammock Pt II, An Award, Lots of Blog Candy and the Missing Card!!

Had a lovely relaxing morning......I actually had a lie in for the first time in over a year and it was heaven!! The sun is out this morning after all the rain we had yesterday but it's very windy, however, should be OK for Sam's School Fete this afternoon. I mentioned last week that when I make a card, I am trying to do a second one using the same stamp and papers so thought I would show the card I had made when I did the Stamp Something challenge. This one doesn't have so much bling on it......just some glitter and mirricard and must admit, I like this one better. The image is Penny Black, coloured in the same way - Brushables and plenty of glitter, layered onto mirricard and Pink Petticoat papers. Sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly, flower is Prima Sprite and sticky gems are from Papermania. My blogging buddy Jackie, has also given me this award.... .....wow, can't believe it as that's the sixth time I have been awarded this.....what an honour and thanks so much Ja...

Dazzle Us With Something Challenge!

Hope everyone is having a great day and for all my buddies across the pond, Happy Independence Day!! The challenge on Stamp Something this week is "dazzle us with something that sparkles, shines, shimmers or glitters" and this can only mean one thing for me (or rather, two!) - glitter and mirricard!!! The image is from Penny Black and I've coloured it with Brushables and added plenty of glitter to the bra and butterflies although it doesn't show up too well in the photo. Papers are from Pink Petticoat printed onto lightweight c.s. and layered with mirricard. Sentiment is SU as are the punches I used to layer it. Finally ribbon and buckle are from my stash. Had to add a Papermania sticky gem inside the buckle because the ribbon is so sheer, you could see the back of the buckle, however, not too happy with the finished effect. Have sent Tony up the school to pick the kids up which means it's my turn to take Sam to Tae Kwon-do tonight - Lewis won't be going a...

Stamp Something Red, White and Blue!

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted anything for a little while but life has been so hectic and I have been finding it very difficult to get inspired to make anything. However, it's Friday which means it's time for the Stamp Something challenge and this week the very talented Melissa has set it! The challenge this week is a two parter - to create something in red, white and blue, and have it be ANYTHING BUT A CARD! This challenge is based on the fact that it's Independence Day in the States very soon so I have taken my inspiration from the Stars and Stripes, plus Lewis, my eldest Son, has been nagging me for ages to make him a book so this is what I came up with..... I've used my Bind It All to make the actual book and covered it with Pink Petticoat papers printed onto lightweight card and stuck some Doodlebug ribbon across the join. The image is Magnolia (which was a RAK from someone) and I've coloured him with Prismas and Sansodor adding Glamour Dust to his...

Emily's Sketch Challenge

As promised, I'm back with the other card I made yesterday. The challenge on Stamp Something this week is a sketch by the talented Emily , one of my fellow DT members, and there's some more wonderful candy up for grabs! I've used an image kindly sent to me by Heather and I've kept her simple and coloured her with Marvys and added some Glamour Dust to the gift and ribbon for a bit of added sparkle. The DP is from My Mind's Eye which I bought a month or so ago and fell in love with immediately....I just love this colour and managed to find some shades of Bazzill c.s. in my stash which matched it perfectly! I've embossed the lighter strip with the Swiss Dots folder and added a sentiment from Pink Petticoat and a flower brad from Papermania. Have decided this card will be ideal to give to Lewis's friend tomorrow.....she's at that age where she's growing out of cute cards so thought a more "grown up" one would be appropriate! Also glad I don...

Martha's Turn!

Good morning all and what a very wet day it is in Weymouth.....pouring with rain! Have to go out this morning so thought I would quickly add this card as it seems an age since I last made one! When I made my black and white card with William the Goblin, Lewis absolutely loved it and asked me if I would make one similar for his friend's birthday. His friend is a girl and so decided to use Martha, however, this card wouldn't work with the original layout so changed it slightly and then discovered it qualified for the CCT challenge!! Coloured Martha with Prismas and Sansodor and used my Nestabilities to make the ovals. Papers are from Pink Petticoat printed onto lightweight c.s., ribbon is Doodlebug, sentiment is from SU and used the SU punches for the layering. Sticky gems are Papermania. Sorry this is so rushed but have an appointment to keep. Hope the weather is better where you are!
