Uptown Girls

Must be a blue moon as I'm posting a card on here!  Don't get to craft alot but have been itching to make a card so I put all my jobs to one side and made time for me...it was a great feeling when I'd finished it! Have now stamped out alot more images in the hope of making some more. Not sure if anyone actually reads my blog anymore, however, will give the details of the card briefly...just in case...stamp is Stampin Bella Uptown Girls Victoria and Juliette's Night Out, coloured with Promarkers.  Sentiment stamp is Cats Life Press, papers are My Minds Eye which I got free with a magazine, string is from Stampin Up as are the sparkly gems.  Added a little stitching, the usual doodling and some glitter pen on the frills of the dresses which, unfortunately, doesn't show up in the photo!

Is Anybody There?!!!!

I'm not sure if I'm talking to myself at the moment (takes me back to when I first started my blog!) as I've been such a naughty girl and haven't posted anything for months. However, work, college and personal issues have all been foremost in my life and crafting had to take a back seat. Trouble was, the longer I left it, the harder I found it to create. So, I have now given myself a huge kick up the backside and have sworn that I will NEVER buy another card again!! Can you believe, I was actually going into a card shop and buying the damn things!!! The card I am showing is one I actually made in October! I found the photo on my camera, so rather than delete it, I thought I would upload it. I have also finally got back to crafting and managed to get stuck into six cards today. Will add them to my blog once I've managed to get a decent photograph of them which hopefully, fingers crossed, should be tomorrow. Had my eldest boy off school today which meant I couldn'...

A Card At Last!

Long time no blog! I have been so busy over the last couple of weeks that I've only had time for Farmville hee! hee! - that is so addictive! Anyway, they've almost finished my house, just the back to paint now, however, another company have started on the two houses either side of me so the noise and dust will continue for a little while yet! The really good news is I've just got to work for a couple of hours tomorrow morning and then I have two whole days off! I can't tell you how tired I am and just want to go to bed for the weekend! I've actually got a card to show you today - I did make a couple of others but the photographs were pants and the cards have now been posted. The one I'm showing is for one of Lewis's little girlies. She's reached the grand old age of 12 so I wanted something a little more grown up and I thought ipodbella fitted the bill. I just wish I looked like that from behind! Coloured her with PM's and some Glamour Dust on her...

Yet More Christmas Cards!

This will have to be a quick post as I've got my good friend Jose coming to visit today so have tidied up somewhat (!), wrapped her present and written her card! Here's a couple more cards for you........ The image for this one is Penny Black Carolling Duck which I like because it's so quick and easy to colour! Used my Promarkers and some Glamour Dust and edged the image with some doodling. Papers and cards are leftovers and have embossed the c.s. with Cuttlebug snowflakes folder and rounded the corners with an SU punch. Sentiment is Doodlebug and gems are Papermania. This is another one made with the same papers and sentiment. However, this time used my Snowbunnybella (think that's what she's called!). I've had her for ages but never inked her up - story of my life! Added some organza ribbon from my stash and some sticky stars which was part of a RAK. Coloured her with Promarkers, Glamour Dust for the "fluffy" bits and finally more doodling to frame...

Happy Birthday Jess!

Needed to make a card for my friend's Daughter who was 14 on Saturday and after searching through my stamps, found another uninked stamp which seemed perfect for Jess - ipodabella!! Also got to use some papers/card I bought a while back and also thought I'd have a go at doing some sewing on the card - I know it's a bit wonky but was quite pleased with the overall effect! The image is obviously a Bella and has been coloured with Promarkers. DP is My Minds Eye and used the SU scallop punch on the reverse of the DP and layered the sentiment onto it (also SU). Finished with some sewing!! Had a couple of pieces of good news lately, (1) my Niece had her baby on Thursday morning - Ruby Jayne so will be taking the boys up to see their new Cousin this week, and (2) passed my first exam on Friday with only one error!! I'm studying from home so I can up-date my CV and get a decent job - that's one of the reasons why I haven't been about lately. Hope you all had a good wee...

Pamper Yourself!

The card I'm posting today is for a friend's daughter who has turned 13 today so Happy Birthday Lisa!! I decided on an "older" themed card as she is very grown up for her age and into all the make-up and pampering which us ladies love but never have much time for!!! It looks like I've put this together very crooked, however, it's fine in real life - just must be the angle at which I took the photo! Anyway, I've used Underthehood Bella and coloured her with Promarkers and added a little Glamour Dust to the cupcake. Papers are from Pink Petticoat and cardstock is Bazzill. Sentiment is from MFT and I've punched a scallop (SU), layered the sentiment, then cut into the scallop for the flowery effect. Sticky gems are from Papermania and finally, used SU corner rounder punch for various corners on the card I've now got to walk up to the other end of the village and deliver this as I was late in making it - it's pouring with rain and just to make...

Eloise The Third!

Ok, I'm sorry, it's Eloise again! However, I'd stamped her out a few times and it seemed a shame not to colour her in so here's the finished card and I promise, no more Eloise for a little while! She has been coloured with Promarkers and all papers are Pink Petticoat printed on lightweight cardstock. I've made a scalloped edge on the spotty card (which you can hardly see!!) using my SU corner rounder punch. Ribbon is from Dovecraft, sticky gems are Papermania and sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. Managed to get quite alot done yesterday as all it did here was rain.....was even sat in bed at 8.00 am this morning colouring images while everyone else had a lie in!! However, the sun is out today so must get on with some washing. Have a great day!

Merci!

A quick posting this morning as I'm having trouble with my car and have to take it to my Brother's so that he can take a quick look at it - think the brake pads are worn! So here's a quick card I made for a friend recently. I've used Eloise Greengrass again from Bella and coloured her with Promarkers - left off the Glamour Dust this time to keep her plain and simple! Cardstock is Bazzill and DP is Basic Grey, ribbons, flowers and brad from stash and sentiment is Penny Black. Finally, used SU corner rounder punch for all corners. Hope to be able to put some cards together later today as I've been busy colouring images and also the weather is not so good today so a perfect excuse to hide myself away in my room with my stash!! Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

A Card For Molly

Another birthday party for Sam today so thought I would show the card I've made for his friend Molly. Not too sure about this one but it will do! The image is called Eloise Greengrass from Bella and she has been coloured with Promarkers with lots of Glamour Dust added! Cardstock is Bazzill and DP is Basic Grey. Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and ribbon is from my stash. Used my circle Nestabilities for the image and backing and my SU corner rounder for the corners of the card. I am trying so hard to catch up on all my crafting/blogging jobs and would like to show two more awards I've received. This one was from Dawny P........ and this one was from Alex...... Thank you so much girls.....going to have a good think about who to pass it on to as I've just done one and it always takes me forever to decide as there are so many lovely, kind and talented people out there. Talking of Alex , I recently left a comment on someone's blog about those gorgeous little mail boxes whi...

Thanks A Latte!!

Another quick post today as I'm very busy........Sam is off school today due to a Teachers' strike, got loads of cards and projects to make as thank yous for the Teachers as school finishes on Monday, plus we've got Lewis's Sports Day this afternoon if it doesn't decide to rain!!! This card is one of the Thank You cards for the Teachers - I've got quite a few to make so have kept it very simple, sticking with the layout I have been using recently. This one is an actual card but have also made some as cardfolders and put a Starbucks voucher and chocolate inside the pockets as a small gift. Image is Lattebella coloured with Promarkers and the sentiment stamp is from MFT. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling and papers are Doodlebug. Sticky gems are Papermania and Chocolate Drops are from Craftwork Cards. Finally, rounded all the edges with my SU corner rounder. Must rush as I need to get Sam to pack away all his mess!!

One For The Fellas! (or maybe two!)

Good morning all! Got a busy day again today so this will be a very quick posting. The challenge on PTW this week is to make a male card. Think I've just got in by the skin of my teeth!! Decided to keep the card very simple and ended up doing two because they were so quick! For this one I used a Bella image I had received in a RAK and coloured him with Brushables, he was then mounted onto Bazzill c.s. and rounded the corners. The base of the card was covered in a blue Bazzill Bling c.s. with some Doodlebug ribbon stuck to the bottom. I rounded the bottom corners of the card, used a circular sentiment from Craftwork Cards which I layered onto red Bazzill c.s. and added a couple of brads from my stash. With this card, I again used a Bella image from a RAK and coloured it with Brushables, then added the Woodware sentiment "Cheers" to the bottom corner and mounted onto Bazzill c.s. I covered half of the base card with blue Bazzill Bling c.s. run through the Cuttlebug with ...

And This One Really Was Quick!!

I'm not kidding! Realised this morning that I needed a "thank you" card to go with a little present for a friend who I was seeing tonight and bearing in mind I was out most of the day and this evening, it really was a rush job! I've been dying to use this stamp which arrived last month then when I went to stamp it, realised I hadn't mounted it!! Anyway, this was the end result....... I do like to keep my cards quite simple and clean looking and thought I'd stick with the red and white theme. The stamp is Latte Bella coloured with Marvy and mounted onto red Bazzill c.s. cut with my Nestabilities and Cuttlebug, with three Papermania sticky gems. The base of the card is red Bazzill c.s. again and some white card embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. Sentiment is from MFT. Very simple but quite effective I think! Off to watch the football now......COME ON CHELSEA!!!!

CCT Challenge - People

A nice wet, windy and cold Saturday morning! and to top it all, I've got one of Lewis's friends coming over for a sleepover today....why oh why do I agree to these things!! Got a feeling they will be awake most of the night so it will give me a chance to catch up on my blogging Back to the crafting.....the challenge on Cute Card Thursday this week is People which made me think I can tell you! I had to rummage through all my stamps to try and find one to use and discovered my Bellas - I've only got four and am ashamed to say have only ever used one of them since buying them before Christmas!!! Anyway, am now proud to say, that two of them of been inked up and used!!!! Sorry the photo isn't so good but took it late yesterday afternoon and it was so dark here with all the rain. I've used Bubblebella and coloured her with Marvy and added a glaze pen to the tub to try and make it look like enamel. Have also used Stickles for the bubbles. Have layered her onto Bazzill...

New Stash and Tara's Blog Candy

Had a couple of parcels arrive yesterday and today from the States and look what was in them! My Prismas arrived after only about one week!! Can't wait to have a play with them, however, I see what Fran means now.....have to put them in some kind of order and sharpen them first!! Also, my Penny Blacks arrived from H M Stamps...they took a bit longer but were well worth the wait. What do you think Tara? They're so much cheaper!! Talking of Tara, she's got a blog candy competition on at the moment to make a baby card, so here's my entry. I just adore this image. It's from Stampin Bella and I coloured it with Brushables. The cardstock is Bazzill and the paper is Doodlebug. Ribbon is from Dovecraft and the word "Sweetpea" is made with my Quickutz. Brads are from Poppicrafts and the button is from Doodlebug as well. Sorry this is so rushed, however, we were late home tonight and have only just fed the boys and need to get them ready for bed.
