Boozy Chuckles!

An early start for me this morning - I've got a long list of things to do today and the boys are off for the start of their nativity rehearsal at Sunday School today so thought I would post this early so I don't forget! This is a card I made for my Brother recently - why are men's cards so difficult to make? Kept it VERY simple as usual!! Used up some scraps of papers for this one which were a combination of free downloads and a PIF from a friend. The image is called Boozy Chuckles and is from Spiral Whisper and I've coloured him with Promarkers, Sentiment is from Penny Black and added a couple of buttons from my stash. Finally, did a bit of doodling around the image. Sam's just appeared so time for breakfast....have a great day!

Catching Up (again!!)

Lovely lie in for all of us today - we don't seem to have had one of those in a while! - so while I'm sat here with my hair in a towel....yes, I've just got out of the shower, thought I would try and catch up with my blogging. Managed to visit some of the blogs last night whilst watching "I'm A Celebrity" (don't know who I dislike the most, Nicola or David!!) and will visit the rest over the next couple of days. I received an award from the talented Zoe a little while ago - thank you so much Zoe and big apologies for not dealing with it sooner. It's so nice to be appreciated even if I have been a bad blogger!! Because I'm so late in posting this, I think most of you have already received it, so I would like to pass it on to all you loyal crafting buddies who have still been visiting me and leaving comments even though I have been AWOL! Next, there's some gorgeous candy up for grabs from Ila - I just love her work and wish I could produce card

Black Friday!

Crikey, I've been so busy this week that I've had absolutely no time for blogging but hope to rectify that over the weekend. The challenge on Stamp Something this week is Black Friday. To be honest with you, I didn't know what this represented but apparently it's sale time in the shops in the States! The challenge this week is to make something with black in it and here's my contribution...... My first time at inking this stamp which is called Santa's Collage - sorry, I don't know who it's made by but I've kept him simple by layering him onto black Bazzill c.s. and mirricard. Snowflake brads are from my stash and greeting is a peel off - haven't used one of those in ages!! A really rushed posting again I'm afraid because we've got to race out to Tae Kwon-do but will have more to share over the weekend.

Happy Birthday Jazz!!

Hi all! Sorry about the last post but I was in a real hurry....could you guess?!!!! Anyway, we had a great time bowling and I even ended up a bit tiddly....forgot they had a bar there!!! Tony won all four games - what a surprise!, however, after getting over breaking a nail on my first throw (!!!) I made a good recovery...think the vodka may have helped!!! We enjoyed it so much that we went again yesterday!! Me and Tony had alot of paperwork to sort through in the morning because he's off to Russia on Monday to work so we ploughed through that and spent some quality family time together in the afternoon and evening. Extremely tired today as I didn't get to bed until 3.00 am - think I'm getting too old for late nights like that lol!!! Anyway, on to the card. I was asked to make this one by a good friend of mine - she's a Childminder and one of the kids she looks after is celebrating her birthday today. Jazz is not what you'd call a girly girl, hates pink and love

This Week's Stamp Something Challenge

In a real rush today, so much so, nearly forgot to submit my entry for the Stamp Something challenge! Me and Tony are taking the boys bowling this afternoon so will make this as short as possible. The challenge this week on Stamp Something is Thanksgiving or Giving Thanks (for those of us who don't celebrate Thanksgiving!). Tilda is Magnolia of course and the sofa is from Alota, both have been coloured with Promarkers. Cardstock was from my stash and paper I think is Basic Grey....I'm not sure about that one as I took it out of the pad a while ago and I haven't got time to check! Sentiment is Stampin Up and flower is a Flora Doodle from Joanna Sheen. Big apologies for the rush!!!

Time For the Bubbly!

Big apologies (yet again!) for not being around, however, have not been feeling too good. I managed to get to the Dentist and there was nothing wrong with the tooth itself, however, I had an abscess in my gum and sinus so was put on tablets and it's taken forever to go......still not completely disappeared now, so I haven't felt much like doing anything and couldn't even participate in the DT work for Stamp Something this week so more big apologies to Denise, Erin and the rest of the girls. I do have a couple of cards to show today - it was a case of having to make these for my friends' birthdays so they are basically the same with just slight differences! The photos aren't brilliant because it was so dark here yesterday and the glitter on the bubbles and the 'enamel' look on the bath tub from the Glossy Accents aren't showing up. If anyone can give me any tips on tying neat bows and knots, please let me know as I was beginning to get a bit frustrated

A Quick Magnolia!

This is going to be a very quick posting as I've been suffering from toothache on and off since Friday evening and it is now unbearable. I do have an appointment with the Dentist tomorrow so if I can just get through tonight I'll be OK! Don't really feel like listing all the details for this one, so if you have any questions, just ask.

Simple Somethings

I can't believe it's Friday already - where has the week gone? Seem to have had so much to do this week and no time for crafting. Did manage to go to the Bonfire Night celebrations on Weymouth Beach on Wednesday and took the kids to the funfair and had a great time. Have also been busy with my college work and yet again, I'm behind with my blogging - slap wrists!! Back to business - the challenge on Stamp Something this week is to keep it simple - one layer of cardstock. Well, my cards are always simple (bit like me lol!) but I do like my layers so I have cheated just a little by layering the image, however, there is only one sheet of c.s. on the actual card - must be a first for me! (Oops, have just checked out the other DT Members' creations whilst writing this and think I've cheated big time - sorry!) The image is from Spiral Whisper and has been coloured with Promarkers with Glamour Dust added to her hat and sleeves (yes, it's a she!). The sentiment is part

Meet Kaitlin

Just a quick posting as I've got Sam home ill.....poor little soul has caught one of the many bugs going around and has not been himself at all. However, he's now beginning to liven up and has started to eat again. All being well, he should be able to go back to school tomorrow. Back to the card - I was kindly given this stamp by Jo for my birthday back in June and have only just got round to inking her up, so thanks Jo, it really was generous of you! The stamp is by Whipper Snapper and has been coloured with Promarkers. Cardstock is Bazzill and papers are from Dawn . Sentiment is from Penny Black, flower is Prima and brad is from my stash. Wow, that was short and sweet! Must go and tidy the kitchen now as the Hairdresser will be here soon to cut the boys' hair. Hope you're enjoying a warmer Monday than down here.
