Sam has got another couple of parties coming up so thought I would make a start on one of the cards and not leave it until the last minute as I usually do!! Also, thought I would start inking up some of the stamps I've had for a few weeks now and came up with this one. When I'd made it, realised it qualified for CCT challenge this week which is to make a card for a child! The images are Magnolia which have been coloured with Promarkers and I've stamped the sentiment (also Magnolia) on top of the wall. Cardstock is Bazzill, however, unsure what DP I used as I've had it for ages and they were scraps! Ribbon is Dovecraft and buttons were in my blog candy win from Jenny . Got a feeling it's going to be a very relaxing day today - still in my dressing gown and no incentive at all to get going - got a pile of ironing to do 'though which I'm trying hard to ignore!!! I've actually made some cards today!! Tony has had to go to Newcastle for an interview and has been gone all day (still not back!!) so got started on some cards which needed to be done. This one is for one of Sam's little mates who's having a party on Saturday and thought it would also qualify for the CCT challenge this week which is to make a birthday card! The image and sentiment are both Whipper Snapper and have coloured the monster with Brushables and layered them both onto Bazzill green and blue cardstock. DP is Daisy Bucket and ribbon and brads are from my stash. Quite a quick and simple card! I will show the other card tomorrow as it's my DT work for Stamp Something. One thing which I should have done last week but didn't because of all the excitement of Tony coming home is to let you know about a new blog. I have finally persuaded my good friend Jose to start up a blog of her own and she's done it!!! Well done Jose!! So pop on over and take a look at...

Really on a roll at the moment....it's amazing what the sound of flushing can do to your mojo!! As I explained earlier, Sam is off school today and he's such a good boy that he let's me get on with what I have to do and quite happily plays so managed to complete the PTW challenge this morning and when I had finished it, noticed that it fitted in nicely with the CCT challenge this week. I don't often complete more than one challenge with one card so was very pleased with myself! The PTW challenge this week is another fabulous sketch by Katharina..... ....and the challenge on CCT is to make a card for the girlies, so this is what I came up with..... I've used another of my new Whipper Snapper stamps for this one and this cute little mouse has been coloured with Prismas and Sansodor with some Glamour Dust added to the flowers. Can you guess I'm really lovin' these Blonde Moments Sugar Dumpling papers at the moment (!) and I just love the effect the mirricard ha...

The challenge on CCT this week is to make a card for the man or boys in your life so I've used one of my favourite Penny Black stamps which I like to use for male cards. I've coloured him with Brushables and stamped his bow tie a second time, cut it out and 3D it with foam pads. Papers are from Pink Petticoat and c.s. is Bazzill. The sentiment is from Autumn Leaves and the brads are from my stash. Very quick card and a quick posting from me today as not feeling 100% - got a splitting headache which I can't seem to shift and the boys just won't stop talking!!! The weather here is awful....it's been pouring down with rain today and had to pop up to Dorchester this morning to get some more Sansodor (only shop that sells it in my area) as I tipped mine over the dining room table yesterday.....TWICE!!!! Just hoping the day is going to improve. On a brighter note, hope to finally get our loo fixed tomorrow as the Plumber should be bringing the part which is needed.....

The challenge on CCT this week is "Things With Wings"..... ".....Anything with wings which is cute is fine for the challenge..." For some reason, don't ask me why, I didn't want to use a Magnolia stamp so went for this little fella from Stampin Up. It was a very quick and simple card to make. I coloured the owl with Prismas and Sansodor and added some Glamour Dust to his chest. I then layered him onto Bazzill c.s. with my Woodware punches. The background paper is from the chocolate blox from Craftwork Cards as are the chocolate drop embellishments. The dark brown paper (which has a shimmer to it) has been run through the Cuttlebug with the Spots & Dots Embossing Folder and some ribbon from my stash was fixed across the join. Told you it was quick!! Then decided to do another one!! This time I used an image from the Little Penguins set from C.C. Designs which has been sat in my box unused since buying them a few months back! Coloured him with Brushables...

A nice wet, windy and cold Saturday morning! and to top it all, I've got one of Lewis's friends coming over for a sleepover today....why oh why do I agree to these things!! Got a feeling they will be awake most of the night so it will give me a chance to catch up on my blogging Back to the crafting.....the challenge on Cute Card Thursday this week is People which made me think I can tell you! I had to rummage through all my stamps to try and find one to use and discovered my Bellas - I've only got four and am ashamed to say have only ever used one of them since buying them before Christmas!!! Anyway, am now proud to say, that two of them of been inked up and used!!!! Sorry the photo isn't so good but took it late yesterday afternoon and it was so dark here with all the rain. I've used Bubblebella and coloured her with Marvy and added a glaze pen to the tub to try and make it look like enamel. Have also used Stickles for the bubbles. Have layered her onto Bazzill...

I am a plank sometimes! I thought I had another card to load! This one is for Bea's 50,000 hit blog candy and also for the CCT challenge. Bea makes beautiful cards and to celebrate 50,000 hits, she is offering up some blog candy. All you have to do is make a card with pink in it. On CCT, the challenge this week is: "....we would like to see some creatures on your cards...." I've used a Penny Black image and coloured with Brushables. I've added Stickles to the icing on the cake and liquid applique to the top of the candle to give the effect of melting wax. The image has been layered onto mirricard. I've used paper from Blonde Moments layered onto mirricard and pink Bazzill c.s. and fixed this to the base card. Have run some more pink Bazzill c.s. through the Cuttlebug with Swiss Dots embossing folder and attached some pink grosgrain ribbon across the bottom. This was then fixed to the card and the image attached with foam pads. Flower was from W H Smiths and b...

I made the following card for a new challenge blog called Cute Card Thursday . "...to celebrate the launch of our new challenge blog, we would like you to use the theme of new beginnings or 1sts. This could be new baby, new home, new job, wedding or anything else "new" or any other 1st you can think of..." I've used one of my favourite PB stamps which I've coloured with Brushables and used some Stickles on the daisies. Papers are Pink Petticoat with some mirricard from my stash. Sentiment is from the Just Hatched set at Papertrey Ink, flowers are from Poppicrafts and sticky gems and brads are Papermania. Must dash now as I've got to go out....speak later.
