First Christmas Card!

Finally managed to make a start on my Christmas cards and this one's for one of my ladies to gets to spend the winter in Tobago...lucky lady! Used a Penny Black image, coloured with PM's and added some flower soft to the hat for texture.  Sentiment is from The Cats Pajamas and papers are Magnolia.  Ribbons and bells from The Ribbon Girl and used MFT die for the sentiment.

Something Special for Someone Special

Here's a card I made for my Sister's 60th birthday.  I got the wooden card from Crafts U Love and painted it then covered it with Magnolia papers.  Tag is also a Magnolia die cut with Magnolia papers with a Penny Black stamp and pins from The Ribbon Girl as are the ribbons and flowers.  Also used various other embellishments and letter die cuts from My Mum's Craft Shop.

Let's Get Together!

Here's one of the invitations I made for my Sister's upcoming 60th Birthday party - I've decorated the inside as well but forgot to photograph it!  I've kept it extremely simple...learned my lesson after having to make 120 wedding invitations earlier in the year!

Uptown Girls

Must be a blue moon as I'm posting a card on here!  Don't get to craft alot but have been itching to make a card so I put all my jobs to one side and made time for me...it was a great feeling when I'd finished it! Have now stamped out alot more images in the hope of making some more. Not sure if anyone actually reads my blog anymore, however, will give the details of the card briefly...just in case...stamp is Stampin Bella Uptown Girls Victoria and Juliette's Night Out, coloured with Promarkers.  Sentiment stamp is Cats Life Press, papers are My Minds Eye which I got free with a magazine, string is from Stampin Up as are the sparkly gems.  Added a little stitching, the usual doodling and some glitter pen on the frills of the dresses which, unfortunately, doesn't show up in the photo!

Thank You x 3

Just a very short post to show the cards I made for Sam's Teachers - two are very similar, just different colours.  Have used the same Magnolia image on all. Life is hectic as usual - trying to fit too many things into each day including decorating my bedroom, but hope to have some time soon to spend crafting.

Long Time, No Blog!

Well, it's been a good few months since I've posted anything mainly due to the fact that life has been so hectic.  A lot of my time was taken up with making wedding invitations for my Niece and I must admit that after making nearly 120 cards all the same, I was not in the mood for crafting afterwards!  However, now that has passed and needed to make a card for one of my Dad's friends so here it is! Used a Whimsy stamp (Meljen's Designs Collection) known as Gruffy Little Gnome which I've had for a while but never stamped.  He's coloured with Promarkers, papers are Echo Park Times & Seasons and used Kraft card from Pink Petticoat.  Corner die cut and letters are Die-namics.  All products (including the webbing) are from My Mum's Craft Shop.

A First!

This is my first ever attempt at an easel card and I didn't realise just how simple they are!  Used another of the Fizzy Moon decoupage sets which I bought yesterday with some bits and pieces from my stash. Big day for me today...off to collect my new car!

Something a Little Different

Bought a few goodies yesterday to cheer myself up and thought I'd have a go at some decoupage for a change as I never seem to find time to colour in images at the moment.   The layout is very basic but I was trying to use all the new stash I bought instead of leaving it in the bag and just looking at it as I usually do!  The image and papers are a Fizzy Moon set and the bakers twine and doilies are Dovecraft's "Tea Party" collection.

A Card for Amber's Granny

I do love making Baby Girl cards - probably because my children are both boys and we don't have a lot of pink and frills in the house! Got my Penny Black favourite stamp out (I always seem to use this one for baby cards) plus some Magnolia paper and mirricard and voila!

Sweets for my Sweets

I couldn't let Valentine's Day pass without a little something for the two loves in my life - Lewis and Sam, so made a couple of little tags to attach to their mountain of chocolate! Both images used are Penny Black so thought I would enter these into this week's Penny Black Challenge , Love and Kisses. Sorry the photos aren't too good but they were taken in a hurry last night while the boys were around!

Chill Out!

I meant to post this card a couple of days ago but have only just got around to photographing it as the light has been bad here.  The challenge on CCT this week is Music and Dance so, as I had this image left over from the last card I made, thought I would make use of her and the leftover papers from the card before that. Supplies: Image is Whimsy coloured with Promarkers, sentiment is The Greeting Farm; Papers are Magnolia; Cardstock Pink Petticoat; Punch SU; Web ribbon I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts and sticky gems are Whiff of Joy.  String was from my stash. Sorry if the photo is a funny shape but I'm experimenting with iPhoto at the moment to see if it's worth me buying a photo software for my iMac!

Enjoy...

Another two-in-one card today which I'm entering for the Simon Says Challenge "Use Domi's Sketch!" and Whimsy Inspirations Challenge "blue + brown". Used another of my Whimsy stamps from the Kenny K Collection called "Boogie Down" with some SU papers and a sentiment from Penny Black. Short and sweet today as it's 3.00 pm and I must get on with my housework!

It's Been A Funny Old Day!

Don't know what came over me today - up until last week I haven't participated in challenges for absolutely ages and then I manage to make a card which qualifies for two - not like me at all! Anyway, I'm entering this card in Papertake Weekly Challenge "Buttons, Bows, Blings and Bloom" and also LOTV "favourite stamp" (by the skin of my teeth!) I love all the LOTV stamps but this is my most recent so at the moment it is my favourite! I used Promarkers to colour the image, Magnolia papers, Pink Petticoat sentiment and Navy card, Nestabilities, string and punch from SU and button and webbing from my stash.

WOYWW

It's the first time I've taken part in WOYWW and as you can see my desk is a bit of a mess. Plenty of images (mainly Whimsy and LOTV)which I've just started to colour. A couple of cases of Promarkers open at the moment (currently working on skin and hair!), however, my desk will start to get really untidy once I start on the other colours as I never seem to put the pens away when I've finished with them, despite my best intentions!

Groovy!

Yes...another stamp from the Kenny K Collection! Absolutely love this one but was a bit worried about colouring it, however, after trawling through YouTube, I had a go and was quite pleased with the end result although room for improvement! This image is called Bling Baby and I'm just loving those boots! Sentiment is Susana Loves Stamps. Can anyone help with some different layouts please as I seem to have got myself into a bit of a rut using the same one?

Happy, Happy, Happy!

I did mention in my last post that I was loving the Kenny K Collection from Whimsy Stamps so here's another one I'd like to share with you. This cheeky little chap is called Happy Little Gnome (quite appropriately!) This card was definitely a labour of love - no problem with the colours, image or papers, however, when it came to the layout and embellishments I was struggling - it took me hours in the end to complete this one! Anyway, entering this into the Simon Says Challenge which this week is spots and/or stripes.

First Challenge in a Long While!

I haven't completed a challenge for years now so thought it was about time I had a go. Decided on the Papertake Weekly Challenge as it was the first challenge I ever did when I first discovered blogland! The theme is "new somethings" and I've decided to go with new stash! I am just loving the Kenny K Collection from Whimsy and have managed to acquire a couple with my Christmas cash. I've used Club Kid and coloured her with Promarkers - I've spent ages trawling YouTube for Promarker tutorials for skin and hair as I was never very adventurous when it came to colouring. However, my fine nibs for my Promarkers haven't arrived yet so I've gone over a bit but just ignore them lol! The photo isn't wonderful as I've taken it this evening with bad light, however, will keep on practicing as my present to myself this Christmas was a new camera as I long to be able to take a half decent photograph of anything!
