Birthday Cards and a RAK!

So sorry it's taken me so long to photograph the gorgeous cards I received for my birthday, however, had a whole weekend of scrapping which in any other circumstances would be really enjoyable. However, think you know what I'm like when I have a deadline to complete a scrapbook! Anyway, Lewis's London book had to be handed in yesterday (Monday) and of course on Friday evening we had only completed approximately two pages!! I had to work Saturday morning so once I got home, it was all systems go and spent the entire weekend working on it. Sunday morning I was up at 7.30 am and didn't get to bed until 12.45 when I had finished it!! I'm afraid I can't show you any photos for a couple of weeks as being the dozey mare that I am, I forgot to photograph it and believe me I was not in the mood for taking pictures at quarter to one in the morning lol!! Back to those beautiful cards I received.....here they are...... Denise also very kindly sent me one of her Whimsy sta...

I'm So Lucky........

.........to have such kind friends! As you're probably aware, I'm going through a particularly difficult time in my life right now but the one good thing to come out of it is that I'm realising that it's not the amount of money or material things I have which makes me happy but all the little things like when my boys tell me "I love you Mummy", or when Sam tells me he thinks I'm beautiful like Rosalina from Mario Karts!(BIG compliment!). It's also knowing I've got such good friends who are always there to listen to me moan and cry and receiving little gifts to let me know they're thinking of me. I received this gorgeous card and stamp from Denise ........ How generous was that! Not only has she made a beautiful card with one of my favourite Tildas but she also sent me one of the Whimsy stamps. It's so nice to get some new rubber when, like so many people, funds are really tight at the moment and I could never justify buying any new craftin...

Lucky Me!

No card to show today and a quick posting as Vanessa and her family are coming to visit today, however, Amanda tagged me a couple of days ago and thought I would join in. Basically, you have to go into your Pictures file and pick the 6th folder and then the 6th photo and this is mine. It's my big boy Sam making a chocolate cake - this was taken last year sometime - he just loves baking (as does Lewis!) and in fact, Lewis was in the kitchen yesterday with his Dad making Drop Scones (although couldn't get over how quickly they whizzed through the recipe, must have been in a hurry to go somewhere pmsl!) - his own recipe! Delicious!! Now have to tag six people - I know alot of you have already done this so please feel free to not take part if you have already done so. My choice is Vanessa (ha! ha!), Jilli , Jackie , Denise , Erin and Jose . I would also like to show a beautiful card I received from Celine - she sent me some Whiff of Joy images as I only own three so thank you so ...

Friday Sketchers Challenge #13

Have been meaning to take part in this challenge since it began but what with one thing and another, it just hasn't happened until this week that is. This week the sketch has been set by Kimmie of Canada...... The papers and image were RAKs - I think the image is Whipper Snapper but if I'm wrong, please correct me. I've coloured her with Promarkers - really lovin' these at the moment - and have run the red Bazzill c.s. through the Cuttlebug with the Spots & Dots folder, to match the pattern of the paper. Sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly and scallop was made using SU punch. Brads are from Bazzill. Hope to take part in more of these challenges in the future!

A Card For Molly

Another birthday party for Sam today so thought I would show the card I've made for his friend Molly. Not too sure about this one but it will do! The image is called Eloise Greengrass from Bella and she has been coloured with Promarkers with lots of Glamour Dust added! Cardstock is Bazzill and DP is Basic Grey. Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and ribbon is from my stash. Used my circle Nestabilities for the image and backing and my SU corner rounder for the corners of the card. I am trying so hard to catch up on all my crafting/blogging jobs and would like to show two more awards I've received. This one was from Dawny P........ and this one was from Alex...... Thank you so much girls.....going to have a good think about who to pass it on to as I've just done one and it always takes me forever to decide as there are so many lovely, kind and talented people out there. Talking of Alex , I recently left a comment on someone's blog about those gorgeous little mail boxes whi...

Cat in a Hammock Pt II, An Award, Lots of Blog Candy and the Missing Card!!

Had a lovely relaxing morning......I actually had a lie in for the first time in over a year and it was heaven!! The sun is out this morning after all the rain we had yesterday but it's very windy, however, should be OK for Sam's School Fete this afternoon. I mentioned last week that when I make a card, I am trying to do a second one using the same stamp and papers so thought I would show the card I had made when I did the Stamp Something challenge. This one doesn't have so much bling on it......just some glitter and mirricard and must admit, I like this one better. The image is Penny Black, coloured in the same way - Brushables and plenty of glitter, layered onto mirricard and Pink Petticoat papers. Sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly, flower is Prima Sprite and sticky gems are from Papermania. My blogging buddy Jackie, has also given me this award.... .....wow, can't believe it as that's the sixth time I have been awarded this.....what an honour and thanks so much Ja...

Aren't I A Lucky Girl!!

Sorry I couldn't do my posting yesterday but I did try! I sat down to edit the photos to load them on and my PSP wouldn't load properly for some bizarre reason. Anyway, it's all sorted now so here we go.....got lots to show - not from me but from all you kind people out there! I'll start with the card I made recently for yet another kids birthday party lol! Wasn't that pleased with this one as it was VERY rushed and usually, when I'm not happy with a card, I will throw it to one side and start again but I really didn't have time with this one so had to settle for this. The image is Stampendous (just love those cheeky monkies!) and I've coloured it with Brushables, c.s. is Bazzill, DP is Doodlebug, sentiment is from High Hopes and brads and ribbon are from my stash. Crikey, that was quick!!! Look what I won recently! Jenny at Stamping Moments held a blog candy competition recently and I couldn't believe it when I won! It felt like Christmas opening u...

Trying To Catch Up!!

Morning all and what's happened to our gorgeous weather? We've had beautiful sunshine for the last few days and now it's overcast and quite cold! Anyway, at least it gives me a chance to try and catch up with my blogging and crafting. I'm afraid that when Tony walked in the front door, my mojo went out the back door! I just haven't wanted to make cards at all which is very unlike me! Anyway, I wanted to show you some more birthday cards I received but never had chance to load on my blog..... Maureen Debby Richelle Thank you so much girls, they're gorgeous and sorry I was late loading them....I hope you forgive me!! I also received the following award from Iris Thank you so much, it's nice to know that there are people out there who like my work and please, if you visit my blog, leave a comment even if you don't like my work....just say hello so I know you're there!! I'm going to have to think about passing this on so I'll get back to you on...

More Birthday Cards and One From Me!!

Hi all, couldn't believe it, got another four cards in the post this morning. It's so funny because Sam is so intrigued by the postmarks and eagerly waits to hear which country they've come from....he loves it and I love the cards!! But first a card I made for a swap....got to put it first otherwise I'll forget what I've used on it .....I'm desperately repeating it to myself in my head before I forget...well, I am at that age now!! The card base is layered with Bazzill c.s. and Karen Foster DP. The lime green c.s. has been run through the Cuttlebug with Stylized Flowers embossing folder. Oh, I've also added some mirricard (of course!!). Tilda has been coloured with Prismas and Sansodor with Glamour Dust added to her wings and the flower, and then layered onto the same c.s. as before. Flower is Prima, sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and sticky gems are Papermania. Wow, I remembered! Will definitely have to start writing it down in future!! Have been busy tr...
