Here's one of the invitations I made for my Sister's upcoming 60th Birthday party - I've decorated the inside as well but forgot to photograph it!  I've kept it extremely simple...learned my lesson after having to make 120 wedding invitations earlier in the year!

Here's a card I made for a friend of mine who made a gorgeous birthday cake for my Son (picture to follow!) - and yes, she loves coffee so these images and sentiment seemed very appropriate! Main image on the front of the card is Whiff of Joy and the two smaller images and sentiment are MFT. Papers are MME and coloured using PM's. The webbing/ribbon is from Bunny Zoe Crafts. Not doing very well on the Christmas Card front - only made two so far so hope to be able to share these with you soon!

Where has the weekend gone? We had a lovely time...decorating, walking on the beach and out for Sunday lunch but now it's back to normal. No work tomorrow but I have to stay in to wait for the Gas Engineer to come and check my heating. Was busy last week making some invitations for Sam's birthday party and here's what I came up with. I used Eric from TGF, coloured with Promarkers. Papers are mostly K & Co Hopscotch although a couple of others may have crept in! Sentiment and inside stamp are MFT and balloon stamp is a very old stamp...so old in fact, I can't remember who made it! Added some string/raffia and plenty of stitching. And here's a couple of group shots!! Coffee time now I think, and then bed. Have a great week everyone.

I made this card very recently for someone who was having to do alot of cleaning and was not enjoying it! I bought this stamp set a few months back and have been waiting for the chance to use it! The image and sentiment are from MFT and have been coloured with PM's. Cardstock is Bazzill which has been run through the Hearts Cuttlebug folder and paper is Doodlebug. Ribbon is from my stash. Kept it as simple as I could as it was meant for a man......now that should keep you guessing lol!! Must apologise for the serious lack of blogging.....I'm way behind with all my chores.....college work, housework etc., don't know what's happened to me this week....just seem to have been distracted. Hope to catch up very soon. Got a postcard from Lewis yesterday and he's having a great time. He did make me giggle though as he said "they haven't killed us yet, which you'll be pleased with"!!! That's so re-assuring!!!

This week's challenge on Stamp Something is "Recipes" so, because I had a little gift to give to a friend and needed a card to go with it, I came up with this. Now you're probably thinking "what's that got to do with a recipe?", however, added a little something inside the card...... I got the idea for the recipe from a card I saw on Deb's blog over Christmas - she is such a talented lady and produces fabulous cards.....well worth a visit. Also, I've seen so many beautiful cards where the girls are now decorating the insides, so I thought I would combine the two. The image is Whiff of Joy, Willow with Cocoa, or coffee in this case!! I've coloured her with Promarkers and then just doodled around the edges. Papers are My Minds Eye and brown c.s. is Bazzill. Distressed the edges of the paper and then stitched them onto the card. Sentiment is MFT as are the coffee beans on the inside of the card. Flowers are all from my stash and for the centre...

Just to let you know that tomorrow is the last day of my blog candy and thought I would clarify that you have until Midnight (GMT) tomorrow to enter. I will then get the birthday boy (Lewis's birthday on Wednesday!) to pick a winner if he can tear himself away from his presents (which I haven't finished buying yet!). Pretty hectic here again today - Lewis is better and back to school and my headache didn't turn into anything, thank goodness. However, Sam is still poorly so he spent the day at home with his Mummy colouring. I've got so many cards to make so thought I would kill two birds with one stone! Big apologies (yet again!) for not being around, however, have not been feeling too good. I managed to get to the Dentist and there was nothing wrong with the tooth itself, however, I had an abscess in my gum and sinus so was put on tablets and it's taken forever to go......still not completely disappeared now, so I haven't felt much like doing anything and couldn't even participate in the DT work for Stamp Something this week so more big apologies to Denise, Erin and the rest of the girls. I do have a couple of cards to show today - it was a case of having to make these for my friends' birthdays so they are basically the same with just slight differences! The photos aren't brilliant because it was so dark here yesterday and the glitter on the bubbles and the 'enamel' look on the bath tub from the Glossy Accents aren't showing up. If anyone can give me any tips on tying neat bows and knots, please let me know as I was beginning to get a bit frustrated ...

Well, I've completed a card at long last! Sorry I didn't post it yesterday but had a VERY late night on Tuesday and then spent the whole day with Tony yesterday so have finally found five minutes to post it on my blog. It's nothing special I'm afraid and the layout is very basic but it will do! The image and sentiment are MFT and has been coloured with Marvy (gasp!) - this was coloured ages ago before I received my Promarkers! Cardstock is Bazzill and DP is DCWV (thought it represented the raindrops!). Used the SU slot punch to attach the ribbon and had a real struggle because of the thickness of the card! Brads are Bazzill and ribbon is from my stash.

First day back at school today for the boys and wow, was it quiet here!! As much as I love my boys, it was so good to have some me time today!! Here's a card I put together today for a friend.....I just love this Tilda and think she looks so cute! The image is Magnolia and the sofa is from Alota Stamps, both have been coloured with Promarkers. DP is from Basic Grey Boxer and c.s. is from my stash. Sentiment is MFT. Finally, added some Glamour Dust to her wings and the back cover on the sofa.

The card I'm posting today is for a friend's daughter who has turned 13 today so Happy Birthday Lisa!! I decided on an "older" themed card as she is very grown up for her age and into all the make-up and pampering which us ladies love but never have much time for!!! It looks like I've put this together very crooked, however, it's fine in real life - just must be the angle at which I took the photo! Anyway, I've used Underthehood Bella and coloured her with Promarkers and added a little Glamour Dust to the cupcake. Papers are from Pink Petticoat and cardstock is Bazzill. Sentiment is from MFT and I've punched a scallop (SU), layered the sentiment, then cut into the scallop for the flowery effect. Sticky gems are from Papermania and finally, used SU corner rounder punch for various corners on the card I've now got to walk up to the other end of the village and deliver this as I was late in making it - it's pouring with rain and just to make...

Another quick post today as I'm very busy........Sam is off school today due to a Teachers' strike, got loads of cards and projects to make as thank yous for the Teachers as school finishes on Monday, plus we've got Lewis's Sports Day this afternoon if it doesn't decide to rain!!! This card is one of the Thank You cards for the Teachers - I've got quite a few to make so have kept it very simple, sticking with the layout I have been using recently. This one is an actual card but have also made some as cardfolders and put a Starbucks voucher and chocolate inside the pockets as a small gift. Image is Lattebella coloured with Promarkers and the sentiment stamp is from MFT. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling and papers are Doodlebug. Sticky gems are Papermania and Chocolate Drops are from Craftwork Cards. Finally, rounded all the edges with my SU corner rounder. Must rush as I need to get Sam to pack away all his mess!!

I'm not kidding! Realised this morning that I needed a "thank you" card to go with a little present for a friend who I was seeing tonight and bearing in mind I was out most of the day and this evening, it really was a rush job! I've been dying to use this stamp which arrived last month then when I went to stamp it, realised I hadn't mounted it!! Anyway, this was the end result....... I do like to keep my cards quite simple and clean looking and thought I'd stick with the red and white theme. The stamp is Latte Bella coloured with Marvy and mounted onto red Bazzill c.s. cut with my Nestabilities and Cuttlebug, with three Papermania sticky gems. The base of the card is red Bazzill c.s. again and some white card embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. Sentiment is from MFT. Very simple but quite effective I think! Off to watch the football now......COME ON CHELSEA!!!!

Well, it's a better day today! Feeling alot better in myself at long last, and my other problems seem to have been sorted (fingers crossed!). The sun is out so I'm feeling alot more positive now and ready to get down to some crafting. This is another quick card I made last night....I've got so many birthdays coming up that it's getting difficult to keep track of them - three on Thursday just for starters!! This one is for a friend of mine - I'm not 100% happy with it as it didn't turn out as expected and also, when I added the Glossy Accents to the bath tub, it's distorted the card somewhat but what the heck!! The image and sentiment are from MFT and I've coloured it with Marvy and added Glossy Accents to the bath tub to give it a shine and Glamour Dust to the bubbles, although I think you will have to click on the photo to get a better look. The background has been made with red Bazzill c.s. and some white c.s. run through the Cuttlebug with the Spots...

I tempted fate didn't I!! Had all the carpets cleaned upstairs after Sam's mishap last Friday and what did he do? Yes, you've guessed it, he threw up over the landing carpet on Monday!! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry! Anyway, everything is sorted now....kept Sam off school yesterday just to make sure he was OK and he's fine and the carpet has been cleaned for a second time!! Didn't get chance to do much crafting yesterday and then it suddenly dawned on me that it's Sam's birthday a week Friday and I hadn't even attempted to make his party invitations! Started them last night when the boys had gone to bed and finished at just gone Midnight......I didn't have to make very many but they weren't turning out how I wanted them to. In the end gave up and settled for this which I'm not happy with. Trouble is, I haven't got time to make new ones so they will have to do.
