Monkey Business!

I tempted fate didn't I!! Had all the carpets cleaned upstairs after Sam's mishap last Friday and what did he do? Yes, you've guessed it, he threw up over the landing carpet on Monday!! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry! Anyway, everything is sorted now....kept Sam off school yesterday just to make sure he was OK and he's fine and the carpet has been cleaned for a second time!! Didn't get chance to do much crafting yesterday and then it suddenly dawned on me that it's Sam's birthday a week Friday and I hadn't even attempted to make his party invitations! Started them last night when the boys had gone to bed and finished at just gone Midnight......I didn't have to make very many but they weren't turning out how I wanted them to. In the end gave up and settled for this which I'm not happy with. Trouble is, I haven't got time to make new ones so they will have to do. Sam's party is being held at Monkey World so wanted a monkey th

Going Dotty!

Well, my carpets are wonderfully clean!!...the Carpet Cleaner came today and has done a brilliant job so I am hoping there won't be any more accidents for a while, although Sam did complain his tummy was hurting this morning!! Did get on with a few things while the carpets were being cleaned including my two baskets of ironing, three loads of washing and an ATC....yes, I sat down and did a bit of colouring and then when he'd gone, put a quick ATC together....I feel very chuffed with myself for accomplishing quite a lot when I originally thought it was going to be a wasted morning for me. The theme on Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge this week is "Going Dotty!".....I don't know about going, I think I've already gone!! Anyway, here is my contribution...... I've used Edwin sat on his pencil but cut off the pencil and coloured him with Prismas and Sansodor and added some Glamour Dust to his wings. Scraps of brown, pink and green Bazzill c.s. have been used wit

Last of the Whipper Snappers (for the moment!!)

Morning all......is it morning already?!! Had a very hectic night.....got woken up at 1.30 am with the sound of vomit bouncing off the landing carpet!! Sam wasn't very well and didn't quite make it to the bathroom so spent most of the early hours of this morning trying to clean the landing carpet, the carpet in his bedroom, washing bedclothes and cleaning him up!!! Eventually got to bed at 4.30 am then was woken at 9.15 this morning by Sam asking me if I was getting up because his tummy was empty and he was hungry!!! Got to love 'em!! Anyway, at least he's feeling better. Got to try and phone the Carpet Cleaner in a minute and order Sam a new mattress as his is ruined....oh the fun of being a Mother!! Back to business now, here's a card I made during the week with one of my new Whipper Snapper arrivals. I don't know how often I will use this stamp but it was a case of "ooh, it's so sweet, I've just got to have it!!" I've coloured the snai

Girly But Blue!

Good morning all! Can't believe it's Friday again.....where has the week gone?!! The challenge on Tilda & Co this week is...... "You don't see many girl cards/projects in blue very often. They are normally pink! Well I would love you to make your projects this week in BLUE! Has to be suitable for a female......" I recently got some new Magnolias and have been wanting to use this one as soon as it arrived and when blue was mentioned, thought of Christmas! So this card will also fit in with Fab's Big Christmas Challenge......another two challenges in one card....what is wrong with me!!! The stamp is Chilly Tilda and I've coloured her with Prismas and Sansodor and plenty of Glamour Dust on her wings, coat and hat (you may have to click on the photo to see this better). Also used the Goblin Tree Stump which has been coloured in the same way and Glamour Dust added to what should be moss (saw this idea on one of the ATCs on Tilda & Friends challenge).

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun & Katharina's Sketch #2

Really on a roll at the moment....it's amazing what the sound of flushing can do to your mojo!! As I explained earlier, Sam is off school today and he's such a good boy that he let's me get on with what I have to do and quite happily plays so managed to complete the PTW challenge this morning and when I had finished it, noticed that it fitted in nicely with the CCT challenge this week. I don't often complete more than one challenge with one card so was very pleased with myself! The PTW challenge this week is another fabulous sketch by Katharina..... ....and the challenge on CCT is to make a card for the girlies, so this is what I came up with..... I've used another of my new Whipper Snapper stamps for this one and this cute little mouse has been coloured with Prismas and Sansodor with some Glamour Dust added to the flowers. Can you guess I'm really lovin' these Blonde Moments Sugar Dumpling papers at the moment (!) and I just love the effect the mirricard ha

RAKs

I've had some fab post over the last few days which included two RAKs. This one is from Jilli who kindly offered to stamp me some Rubber Romance images as surprisingly, I don't own any of these stamps but do love them. I also received some gorgeous Magnolia and Sugar Nellie images and a beautiful ATC from Debbie yesterday.....isn't that Tilda adorable! I must mention Vanessa as well because we did a kind of "swap" with some new Magnolia stamps and I'm convinced I ended up with the better end of the deal!! Thanks Vanessa ....you're a star!

Fresh and Fun!

My blogging buddy Jilli, recently celebrated her birthday and is holding a birthday blog candy challenge. The challenge is to make a card entitled "Fresh and Fun" so this is my contribution! I knew which stamp set I wanted to use as soon as I saw the challenge.....Sassy Suzie from Stampin Up, which I've recently acquired, so I thought that was the "fun" bit and I love this patterened paper from Saffrasslass which I think could qualify for the "fresh" part. I've coloured Susie with Prismas and Sansodor and used Marvy for her make-up. Cardstock is from Bazzill with the turqoise/teal panel run through my Cuttlebug with the Spots and Dots embossing folder. Brads and ribbon are from my stash and the slits for the ribbon have been made with a SU punch. I've got Sam off school today as the Teachers at the Infants are taking a "day of action", however, the Teachers at the Junior School voted against it so Lewis still has to go to school!

Debbie's Blog Candy and a Sketch from Katharina

Another sunny day in Weymouth again today even though it did rain during the night. However, not so sunny inside the house(!)....plumbing is still not fixed as the ordered part didn't turn up - just wondering how long this is going to go on for as the Plumber goes on holiday in a couple of weeks!! Anyway, back to the crafting......this card is one I made after seeing a sketch which Katharina put on her blog (it's not the PTW one....still working on that!) and when I'd finished it, thought it would be ideal for Debbie's birthday blog candy. Debbie's challenge is to make a girly card with ribbon on it and this is Katharina's sketch..... Always have to think a bit if there's more than two layers! but ended up with this..... I've used my new Penny Black stamp which arrived last week and coloured the hedgehog with Brushables, adding some Glamour Dust to the flowers. The sentiment is from the Just Hatched set at Papertrey Ink and the tiny hearts are from Pap

Darlin' Duckie!

A better day today....the sun is out and my headache is gone so I'm trying to catch up on all my jobs both boring everyday ones and crafting ones! I made this card a few days ago using one of my new Whipper Snapper stamps and thought I would have a go at the My Paperworld sketch challenge at the same time. This is the sketch...... and this is my card...... I do love Whipper Snapper stamps and am just building up my collection a bit more! The cute little chap has been coloured with Prismas and Sansodor (before I spilled the whole bottle!) and I've added some Glamour Dust to the flowers for a little bit of sparkle. The sentiment is from the Just Hatched set from Papertrey Ink. Paper is the Flower Retro from Papermania and Doodlebug, cardstock is from Bazzill as are the flowers and the sticky gems are Papermania. The Plumber is calling later and I am keeping my fingers crossed that the part he has got is going to work, otherwise it is going to be VERY expensive. For some reason, a

It's A Man's World!

The challenge on CCT this week is to make a card for the man or boys in your life so I've used one of my favourite Penny Black stamps which I like to use for male cards. I've coloured him with Brushables and stamped his bow tie a second time, cut it out and 3D it with foam pads. Papers are from Pink Petticoat and c.s. is Bazzill. The sentiment is from Autumn Leaves and the brads are from my stash. Very quick card and a quick posting from me today as not feeling 100% - got a splitting headache which I can't seem to shift and the boys just won't stop talking!!! The weather here is awful....it's been pouring down with rain today and had to pop up to Dorchester this morning to get some more Sansodor (only shop that sells it in my area) as I tipped mine over the dining room table yesterday.....TWICE!!!! Just hoping the day is going to improve. On a brighter note, hope to finally get our loo fixed tomorrow as the Plumber should be bringing the part which is needed..

Squeaky Baker!

Ila has some gorgeous blog candy on offer and to enter, you have to make a card following this sketch..... I've had good post days all this week so decided to use one of my new Whipper Snapper stamps called Squeaky Baker. I've been promising myself this stamp for ages and finally treated myself and I just love him!! Also had a new supply of Blonde Moments Sugar Dumpling paper arrive so decided to use both of these in my card. You'll probably have to click on the card to get a better look as I really don't think the photo is that good. I've coloured the little chap with Prismas and Sansodor and added glamour dust to some of the cakes. He's layered onto mirricard and Bazzill c.s. Papers are Blonde Moments, Sticky Gems are Papermania, Flower is W.H. Smith, jewelled brad is Papermania or Dovecraft (sorry, can never remember which one it is!) and sentiment is Woodware.

It's Wet And Windy!

The challenge on Tilda and Friends ATC this week is..... "....to create some wet and windy ATCs and we have a set of Magnolia fish stamps to give away to one lucky entry..." I stamped out a couple of images and coloured them and didn't know which one to use so decided to make two! They're both very similar. Both Tildas have been coloured with Prismas and Sansodor and Glamour Dust on their wings but I did use a Marvy pen to colour in the flowers on the top Tilda's bathing hat as they were so tiny! I have used a Sakura glaze pen on the rubber rings to try and make them shiny but that doesn't show up too good in the photos. Papers and c.s. are scraps from my stash and the crab is a button I've had for ages....always knew I'd find a use for him! Used my Dymo for the sentiment. They're both quite basic as I did rush them a bit so I could get the challenge finished now rather than on Tuesday evening!!!

Tracie's Birthday Blog Candy

Ooh some more gorgeous blog candy....this time it's Tracie and she will be celebrating her birthday so she's offering some scrummy candy. Click on the link and try your luck!!

Tara's Blog Candy

Tara is offering some fab blog candy to celebrate reaching 20,000 hits so pop on over and have a go!

Lavender Tilda

This card is one I've made for a blogging buddy's birthday - Happy Birthday Jilli! - and I was really quite pleased with the result. I've used the same layout for my All That Glitters card on PTW. The image is one that I received from Sue and I've coloured her with Prismas and Sansodor with Glamour dust on her wings. The stamp is called Harvest Tilda but I saw the idea of making it Lavender a little while ago and thought I'd give it a try. The layering was made using Blonde Moments Sugar Dumpling paper, mirricard and Bazzill Bling c.s. The flower is from W.H. Smith and the brad is from Papermania. The sentiment is from Woodware.

All That Glitters!

The challenge on PTW this week is All That Glitters and is simply "to use glitter on your projects". For this card, I've used a Magnolia image which was kindly sent to me by Lilian and I've coloured her with Prismas and Sansodor and added Glamour Dust to her wings, the hearts in the basket and the flurry of hearts she is catching. A sentiment from Woodware was added to the side of the image. The card has been layered with paper from the Blonde Moments Sugar Dumpling collection (which I am just lovin' at the moment!), Bazzill c.s. and mirricard to give it an extra bit of "bling"! Finally a glittery flower from Doodlebug was added with a jewel brad from Papermania.

A Few Folders

Thought I was going to have a free day today to get on with some crafting but nothing ever goes to plan!! Got the shopping done at Asda first thing and was just about to settle down to some cardmaking when the phone rings......it was the school asking me to collect Lewis as he wasn't feeling well. He's now in bed fast asleep, poor chap, so that gives me some time to post this and colour in a couple of images in the hope of putting a card together tonight when the boys are in bed. These are three folders I made a couple of days ago to send out some images to blogging buddies. The image on the right (Tilda in Paris) was one of the Magnolias kindly sent to me by Sue. They've all been coloured in the usual way - Prismas and Sansodor with Glamour Dust on their wings, apart from Paris Tilda whose wings are hidden. Folders were made from plain white cardstock with papers, coloured c.s. and ribbons from my stash. Tiny sticky gems are from Papermania.

Ribbon Galore!

I'm a bit late in the day posting this card but as usual, time has flown by with one thing or another and now it's nearly seven o'clock in the evening.....where does it go? The challenge on Tilda & Co this week is Ribbon Galore..... "....love to see lots of ribbon on your work. As many ribbons as you can get on your work as possible. You all have heard of the saying "less is more", well we want MORE MORE MORE! This was a difficult one for me as I like to keep my cards very simple with just a few embellishments. However, thought the card I made would grow on me, but it doesn't seem to have! I got this image from Lilian a couple of weeks back and have coloured her with Prismas and Sansodor with Glamour Dust added to her wings and the hearts, and also the hearts in the basket. Paper is from Blonde Moments and c.s. is Bazzill Bling with the panel run through the Cuttlebug with the Spots and Dots Embossing Folder. Now on to the ribbon!! The idea for t

Cooking It Up!

As promised, I'm back with my Tilda and Friends ATC challenge. The theme this week is...... "....In addition to the Magnolia stamp, we want you to mix 1 bow, 2 flowers, 3 colours (as well as flesh tones) and 4 brads or gems....." For this ATC, I've used Tilda in Paris which was kindly sent to me by Sue as I had a bit of trouble ordering mine......thanks Sue! I've coloured her with Prismas and Sansodor, cut her out and fixed her to the ATC with foam pads. Well, I think I've completed the challenge - I've got one dodgy bow!!! (I know now why I tie knots in my ribbons and not bows!!!), two tiny flowers, three colours......green, blue and brown, and four brads - two in the centres of the flowers and the other two in the top right-hand corner. All bits used are from my stash but I do know the flowers are Prima.

I've Been Tagged!

I've been tagged by my SBS-13 Sistah Jo, to list seven random facts about myself. Well, I had to do this one a few weeks back and had enough trouble listing seven things then, so gonna cheat and refer you back to my facts I listed then. You can find it here . Thanks for the tag Jo and BTW, I hate anyone pulling my toes apart as well!!!! Will be back later with something to show.

Things With Wings

The challenge on CCT this week is "Things With Wings"..... ".....Anything with wings which is cute is fine for the challenge..." For some reason, don't ask me why, I didn't want to use a Magnolia stamp so went for this little fella from Stampin Up. It was a very quick and simple card to make. I coloured the owl with Prismas and Sansodor and added some Glamour Dust to his chest. I then layered him onto Bazzill c.s. with my Woodware punches. The background paper is from the chocolate blox from Craftwork Cards as are the chocolate drop embellishments. The dark brown paper (which has a shimmer to it) has been run through the Cuttlebug with the Spots & Dots Embossing Folder and some ribbon from my stash was fixed across the join. Told you it was quick!! Then decided to do another one!! This time I used an image from the Little Penguins set from C.C. Designs which has been sat in my box unused since buying them a few months back! Coloured him with Brushables

Two Awards, A RAK and A Box!!

Still busy with buckets of water!!! My Brother is here at the moment trying to sort out a temporary measure but is struggling so it looks like we're going to have to put up with it until the Plumber can fit us in!! When I was catching up on my blogging last night, I visited Andrea's blog and she has made a card which is so apt for me at the moment.....it really did make me giggle, so please take a look and tell me what you think!!! I received some lovely post yesterday from Sue who kindly stamped me some images and look at the gorgeous folder she made to put them in. It's beautiful Sue and thanks so much! I also received two more awards!! This one is from Fran and was awarded to the Tilda and Friends Forum and I've been informed that as I'm a Member, I'm entitled to it!!! The second award is from Zoe...... .....thank you so much girls. Makes no difference to me if I've received the award before, because I always feel touched that people consider me when
