Easter Card and More Paper!

It's a beautiful morning here in Sunny Dorset......no rain and the sun is out and.......it's peaceful!! The kids went back to school this morning! Both of them were grumpy and tired and Sam was very tearful. However, I know that when I put them to bed tonight, they will both go out like lights (hopefully!). Now for the card. Managed to photograph it this morning. This one's for the Papertake Weekly Challenge and after receiving my papers from Blonde Moments, thought this set would be ideal for Spring. I also used one of my new stamps from Sugar Nellie which I managed to mount last week when I was having a sort out. I was really out of my comfort zone with these colours....they're not ones I usually choose, however, because I liked the papers so much, took the colours from them. Image is coloured with Brushables and mounted on Bazzill c.s. Flower is also from Bazzill and brad from Poppicrafts. The greeting is a stamp......yes, the one I can never remember!! Can you belie...

Look What I Got Part 1!

Sorry, still no cards of my own to share but plenty of other things to show you. Good news is I'm beginning to get the urge to make a card so hopefully will have something to post in the next day or so. Firstly, I'd like to share a card my Son, Lewis made me. It did make me laugh because (a) he put on it "sorry I ruined your day"! He's actually not been too bad over the half term break but yesterday evening did start playing me up, and (b) he wrote inside "please don't throw this away as it's the best card I've ever made and it took me 45 minutes to make"!!! Bless him! As if I would throw it away! It's so sweet : Well, I've had quite a few packages turn up in the last few days. This is some of it! Because of the lack of mojo, I decided I needed more papers to inspire me so I got a couple of packs from Craft Central and a few more packs from Blonde Moments which I love. The stamps are Whipper Snapper which were reduced. I've also ...

I'm Still Here!!

Hi all!! Just to let you know that I am still around but things are a bit hectic for me at the moment. In true "Jo" style, I put off making my sister's scrapbook until the last minute and had a bit of a hairy scary moment yesterday when I realised her birthday is this Saturday....yikes!!! So everything else has been put on hold for this week while I get on with her book. So please don't think I'm being rude and not visiting your blogs.....I hope to catch up with my blogging at the weekend. First I'd like to announce that I got another award....it was from my good pal Denise and I take this as a real compliment because I find her work an inspiration! I would now like to pass this award on to three people who really do inspire me - Denise!! - just take it right back girl! I know you've already been awarded this but I love your work and hey, it's mine so I can give it to who I want - right?!!!! I'd also like to give it to Claudia of Pretty Pressings.....

New Stash and Tara's Blog Candy

Had a couple of parcels arrive yesterday and today from the States and look what was in them! My Prismas arrived after only about one week!! Can't wait to have a play with them, however, I see what Fran means now.....have to put them in some kind of order and sharpen them first!! Also, my Penny Blacks arrived from H M Stamps...they took a bit longer but were well worth the wait. What do you think Tara? They're so much cheaper!! Talking of Tara, she's got a blog candy competition on at the moment to make a baby card, so here's my entry. I just adore this image. It's from Stampin Bella and I coloured it with Brushables. The cardstock is Bazzill and the paper is Doodlebug. Ribbon is from Dovecraft and the word "Sweetpea" is made with my Quickutz. Brads are from Poppicrafts and the button is from Doodlebug as well. Sorry this is so rushed, however, we were late home tonight and have only just fed the boys and need to get them ready for bed.

Been a Naughty Girl!!

Got a bit carried away with the Magnolia stamps!!! These have arrived in the last couple of days...trouble is, I've seen all the new ones which have been released and I WANT THEM! But that's not all, my Pink Cat Studio stamps arrived as well....... Now, all I have to do is use them all!!

More Stash and Blog Candy News!

Hi everyone. Had a few more parcels turn up so thought I might share them with you! This included my Penny Black stamps.....the one I really wanted was missing because the package was damaged and even though I'm making a claim through the Post Office, Dick at HM Stamps has kindly offered to replace it free of charge when I place my next order, so I needed no encouragement and got my order in straight away from the Spring Catalogue before my stash diet starts tonight at Midnight!! There are also a few more Cuttlebug folders, Magnolias and a few bits and pieces. I've noticed that my counter is over 1500 hits and can't quite believe it. I'm really chuffed as I've only been doing this blogging lark for a month and am really grateful that people take the time to come and look at my creations and listen to me ramble on. So, have decided that when the counter hits 2000, I will be offering some blog candy. This will be a Magnolia stamp.....I think she's called Tilda ...

New Stash!

Had a great morning! Let me explain more......I ordered some Nestabilities from the States a week ago and they arrived on Saturday! I've been dying to have a go with them and being a bit uncertain of what exactly I needed, I had a browse on Papertrey Ink and it explained what you needed for each different die cut machine, so I ordered the small rectangles (just for starters!!) and the tan mat. I also needed the white spacer plate 'cause I have a Big shot but managed to get these from Joanna Sheen Anyway, this morning I had to take my youngest to the Dentist which just happens to be a short trip from Craft Central (Weymouth only has one craft shop and this is it!) so I popped in on the way home and bought this: I needed a storage box for all my unmounted stamps as the box I presently have is too small and just had to buy a couple more bits and pieces! However, when I got home, I found this on the doormat! My first Bellas!! Can't wait to use them although I think I'm gonn...

New Stash!

Well, they finally arrived! The Sugar Nellie and Magnolia stamps I ordered a little while ago turned up yesterday. I knew they were on their way but they obviously got held up with the Christmas post. Hope you can see them OK. You may have to click on the photo to get a better view. Just waiting for my Penny Black stamps to turn up from the States. They usually take 7-8 days to get here but are really delayed - again, I'm hoping it's the Christmas post. Won't be able to make any cards today. I've got to wait in for a TV engineer but must get on with some housework (BORING!) and then tonight we're out for Tae Kwon-do which takes up the whole evening. Hope to produce something soon.
