It's been a funny old day today - I crammed two months of college work into two nights on Thursday and Friday evenings in preparation for my exam this morning, only to receive a phone call to tell me it had been cancelled because they hadn't prepared all the paperwork! So despite having plenty on my "to do" list, it left me at a loose end. I forced myself to go to Asda and get the week's shopping and then thought 'blow the housework' and decided to do some crafting. Came up with these little Easter bags. I needed something for Sam's two Teachers and a couple of friends of mine and these fitted the bill. I did actually make some similar to this last Easter, the instructions are on the Scor-pal site - they are so quick and easy which is what I like! I used Elzybells stamp and two sentiment stamps from Papertrey Ink. Images are coloured with Promarkers. Card and paper are from my scrap box as is the ribbon and flowers and brads are from my stash...a real ...

Yes, it's another "oops" from me - I forgot another birthday and to make things worse, it was my pal, Vanessa's birthday so this one needed something a little more than a card. Yes, I know it looks like a card but it's actually a paper bag! I decorated it with Bazzill c.s. and paper from My Minds Eye which I distressed around the edges and also used one paper which was a free digiload. Used an Elzybells stamp which was coloured with PMs and cut it out using Nestabilities. Sentiment is from Craftwork Cards which was mounted onto c.s. cut with SU punch. Finally, added some Papermania sticky gems. Decorated the inside of the bag with matching c.s. and papers and used my Nesties to layer a quote I stamped and left the other side blank for me to add my own personal message. I also decorated the back of the bag with similar c.s. and paper. Finally, I added a few little pressies inside the bag. It really is a good way to send stamped images, etc and will definitely us...

At long last I have a card to show! I made a few of these for the boys' Teachers last week but just haven't had time to put it on my blog. The image and sentiment are from Elzybells and the bunny has been coloured with Promarkers with some doodling around the edges. Cardstock is My Mind's Eye (double sided). Used the Fiskars punch along one side and added some flowers and sticky gems from my stash. Kept to a very simple layout as I had to make three of these the night before the kids broke up for the holidays - last minute again! Luckily Lewis made a fabulous card for his Teacher but unfortunately, because of the rush, I forgot to photograph it! It was a very emotional day last Friday - both boys were leaving their respective schools for good - Lewis will be starting senior school in September and Sam will starting at Juniors. Needless to say the Leavers' Assemblies were tear jerking to say the least and we were all blubbering wrecks by the time we walked out of the sch...

The challenge on Stamp Something this week is Easter or Happy somethings. I'm in a bit of a panic because I didn't realise how close Easter is and haven't done a thing for it, apart from this. Also realised it's the last day of term today so wanted to make something for Sam's Teacher. It's a triangular gift bag which is on the Scor-pal site and have used it to put a little pressie of mini eggs in. Here's a better view of the shape....... I just adore this image - it's from Elzybells and it's the first time I've used it. Coloured it with PM's (what else?!) and cut it and embossed it with my circles Nesties. The bag is made from Bazzill c.s. with some DP layered onto the front and ribbon threaded through to make a handle. The sentiment is from the Just Hatched set at Papertrey Ink. Finally added a little heart gem from my stash to the bottom. The challenge this week is being sponsored by Digital Stamp Oasis so some scrummy candy on offer. Hop...

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Last week I made a little folder card for my boys for Valentines and mentioned that I would be making them something else. Well, managed to put something together very quickly yesterday which they have probably demolished by now! A little while ago, Alex kindly sent me two of these cute mailboxes and it wasn't until last week when I saw her submission on Stamp Something that I knew what I wanted to do with mine. The second one is a bit more "pinky" so have given that to Sam as being the youngest he wouldn't mind so much - just interested in what's inside! I've filled them up with bags of jelly hearts and marshmallow hearts. Both images and sentiment are from Elzybells and coloured with Promarkers with doodling around the edges. Well the day has finally arrived.....it's the first challenge on Stamp Something and it's really quite exciting for me as this is my first go as a DT Member.....hope I don't disappoint! The theme this week is "Firsts" and decided on baby cards.....I'm a sucker for them and I find that if I make one for a girl, I just have to make another on a boy theme so here are my contributions..... This is another first for me.....my first buckle card! The stamp is Baby Tingla from Magnolia, coloured with Prismas and Sansodor with Glamour Dust added to her wings. She was then cut out and fixed onto the buckle. Papers are from the Sugar Dumpling collection at Blonde Moments layered with mirricard and Bazzill c.s. Sugar and Spice sentiment is computer generated and layered onto same c.s. with some doodling, flower is from W.H. Smith with pearl brad from Papermania. Me and the boys are off to Yeovil today to see my good friend Jose so thought I would post this quick card before we go. This is one on a similar theme to a couple I did earlier in the week where I got the idea from Zoe . It's that bunny again!!! but he is a favourite of mine....have you guessed that yet?!!! I've used a bigger card this time and layered it with red Bazzill c.s. and white c.s. embossed with the Cuttlebug Bloom Dots embossing folder. The image has been stamped onto a separate piece of white c.s. and coloured with Brushables and scored at the top and bottom to give a raised effect. The sentiment is from the Just Hatched set from Papertrey Ink. Finally, used some red organza ribbon from my stash and some sticky gems from Papermania. I also received the Arte Y Pico Award again, this time from my buddy Jackie! I'm so chuffed ....that's six times now......I do have some wonderful blogging buddies out there. Sorry I wasn't around yesterday.....had a really hectic day! Had paperwork, banking and a visit to the Dentist for the boys (which went well!!) so didn't have time for postings or any blogging. However, did manage to make a few things last night when the kids were in bed, some of which I can't show until the weekend because they're gifts for a friend. However, managed to complete the Papertake Weekly Challenge....this must be a record for me, don't think I've ever done it so quick before!! This week the spec is..... ".....the challenge is to use scallops or zig-zags (or both if you're really keen lol!) on your project!...." I'm really into red at the moment and decided to keep this one really simple. For the base card, I've layered red Bazzill c.s. and some white c.s. embossed with Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder. I've used one of my favourite Elzybells stamps and coloured it with Brushables and added a sentiment from the Papertrey Ink ...

Good evening....sorry I haven't posted earlier but have been catching up on my sleep after Lewis' sleepover last night....they were still awake at 3.30 am!!! Good job we didn't have anything planned for today....I've learned my lesson from the last time he had a sleepover!! I had some nice news this afternoon....I've received the Arte Y Pico Award again!! Wow, five times now!! This time it was from Jilli . Thank you so much Jilli, it really is appreciated and I am always very grateful and surprised by people who nominate me. Well, when I finally awoke from my little nap, decided to do something quick and new for me which I've seen on a couple of blogs. This is the front view....... and this is the back view...... I was so surprised at how easy these candles are to make and how quick!! I've used Elzybells stamps and the main image has been coloured with Brushables. They were stamped with Stazon onto tissue paper and then "fixed" to a plain can...

Lovely stamps for the winner so take a look. The card has to be a Thank You card so here's mine. I've used Elzybels Bunny stamp (coloured with Brushables), Pink Petticoat papers, Dovecraft ribbon and Papermania sticky gems. The sentiment is a free font which I've printed straight to the paper.

Well, I'm still going on the Christmas cards but got a bit fed up doing the same ones so I had a rummage through my stamps and found this Elzybel fairy which I bought a year or two ago and can you believe it? this is the first time I've used it! I coloured her in with Brushables and added a bit of glitter to her wings and halo, then mounted her onto silver card and pink Bazzill card. I used the same coloured c.s. on the main card and then layered some white Bazzill c.s. which had been put through the Cuttlebug snowflakes folder. The fairy has been mounted with foam pads to lift her off the card a little. The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat. Finally a snowflake brad was added to the corner of the image. Must put the boys to bed now and then it's back to finishing the other Christmas cards!

Here's a couple of Christmas cards I've made. The first (Mistletoe Bear) is a card I originally made for the DoCrafts competition. It didn't make it to the last thirty (sob! sob!) but I still like it!!! The second is a Whipper Snapper snowman which I bought a couple of years ago but I tend to use it each Christmas because he is soooo cute! and the last card is an Elzybels mouse - I do tend to be attracted to the cutey rubber stamps .... must be the child within! Hope you like them.
