And Back to Red Again!

Can you tell I'm in my "distress the edges and sew" phase LOL!!!! Trying hard to start filling up my card basket again as it's nearly empty and I hate not having a card handy when I need one. At the beginning of January, I stamped out alot of images which I hadn't used before and this is one of them. It's Melinda Blowing Kisses from Whiff of Joy and I've coloured her with Promarkers and the usual doodling to frame her. Is there any point naming the papers lol! (My Minds Eye) and c.s. is Bazzill. Sentiment is Cuddly Buddly and buttons are Doodlebug. Corners are rounded with an SU punch and finally, added a little Glamour Dust to her wings and the hearts. Things are alot better today so thank you to everyone who asked but I'm a tough old bird and seem to be able to cope with anything that life throws at me!!

PTW Challenge

I haven't taken part in the PTW challenge for a long while unfortunately, and come to think of it, haven't taken part in ANY challenges for ages!! This week's challenge is a fabby sketch by Dawny P , so, because I was stamping out some of these cute HH images for a blogging buddy, thought I would use one for this card. The image (Gavin the givin' dragon) has been coloured with Promarkers with a bit of doodling around the edges. Sentiment stamp is Penny Black, papers are Basic Grey and c.s. is Bazzill Bling. Finally, added a couple of Doodlebug buttons. Sorry this posting is short 'n' sweet but Sam has a friend round to play and I must get started on their tea soon.

The Never Ending Story!

Or rather, the never ending Christmas cards!! Yep, there's more! I'm back earlier than anticipated! Stamps: CC Designs, Penny Black, Whipper Snapper, Stampin Up, Doodlebug Colouring: Promarkers Papers/Cardstock: K & Co, My Minds Eye, Miscellaneous(!), Bazzill Extras: Glamour Dust, SU Scallop Punch, Mirricard Well, that's all the cards now until next year when I hope I will have learned my lesson and not end up making them all in the last week before Christmas......in fact, think I'll have to make a start on Boxing Day!!! Will have a couple more christmassy things to show you tomorrow but (breathes a big sigh of relief!), they're not cards. Going to have a BIG glass of wine now and sulk as Lisa and Brendon didn't win......definitely think that was a fix lol!!!

Bet You Thought I Forgot!!

Of course I didn't!! I've had a very emotionally draining day today but have decided I'm not going to let the b******* grind me down......or should that be singular!!! So here are some(!) of the promised cards with a few more to show tomorrow - that's not groaning I hear is it!!!! Stamps: High Hopes, Magnolia, Stampin Up, Doodlebug Colouring: Promarkers Papers: My Minds Eye, Blonde Moments Extras: Glamour Dust, SU Scallop Punch, SU Corner Rounder I think you can tell I was rushing them a bit as there aren't any embellishments on them, however, I did manage to finish them all and posted them Friday whoo hoo!! As mentioned, few different ones to show tomorrow so I'm going to sit down and try and relax now and watch the final of Strictly - I'm suffering a bit as I think my infection in my tooth has started up again so may have to get back to the Dentist before Christmas. Have a great evening and GOOD LUCK LISA AND BRENDON!!!!

Friday Already?!!

OMG where is the time going?!! Boys break up from school today, however, Sam is alot better but still not right so going to take him in to see his Teacher so he can drop off his presents and cards and then it's home to finish making Christmas cards - yes, I'm still going and refuse to buy any!!! A couple more Christmas cards to show you and then will be back later with the Stamp Something challenge. Won't bother giving you details as I'm sure you recognise the paper by now!! The images are from Spiral Whisper and Magnolia and sentiments are Doodlebug and SU.

Yet More Christmas Cards!

This will have to be a quick post as I've got my good friend Jose coming to visit today so have tidied up somewhat (!), wrapped her present and written her card! Here's a couple more cards for you........ The image for this one is Penny Black Carolling Duck which I like because it's so quick and easy to colour! Used my Promarkers and some Glamour Dust and edged the image with some doodling. Papers and cards are leftovers and have embossed the c.s. with Cuttlebug snowflakes folder and rounded the corners with an SU punch. Sentiment is Doodlebug and gems are Papermania. This is another one made with the same papers and sentiment. However, this time used my Snowbunnybella (think that's what she's called!). I've had her for ages but never inked her up - story of my life! Added some organza ribbon from my stash and some sticky stars which was part of a RAK. Coloured her with Promarkers, Glamour Dust for the "fluffy" bits and finally more doodling to frame...

Got a Christmas Card To Show!

Actually, I've got two! Yes, have managed to make a start on my Christmas cards. I have already done the ones to send abroad and those have been posted but I'm way behind with the others so here's two I made yesterday while Sam was writing his Christmas cards (bought those!). I'm not going to bother listing the items used as (1) there aren't many and (2) can't remember the make of the paper!! However, stamp is from Cuddly Buddly, coloured with Promarkers and some Glamour Dust added to his hat and c.s. is Bazzill. This one is made using an image from Vanessa (thanks sweetie!), coloured with Promarkers and some Glamour Dust. Sentiment is Doodlebug and the yummy papers are My Minds Eye (really love their designs at the moment). You will probably notice that I tend to doodle around the edges of the image - found it frames the image without the need to layer it, making it quicker to make!! Right, off to see the Birthday Girl now. Will be back tomorrow with a couple ...

One I Forgot!

Another quick posting today as I've got to try and get Sam in at the Doctors as we had another interrupted night with his earache flaring up so unfortunately, he will miss performing in his Christmas show today. This is a card I made for my Dad to give to Lewis for his birthday last week...... Stamps: Whipper Snapper, Cuddly Buddly Papers: Cricut "Beyond Birthdays" Colouring: Promarkers Extras: Ric Rak and Buttons from Doodlebug Once I've sorted Sam out, am hoping to put some Christmas cards together - I still haven't finished them yet and have also got to make yet another birthday card for tomorrow!!! Have a great day!

Snow Somethings!

The challenge on Stamp Something this week is Snow Somethings and is sponsored by Firecracker Designs. This is a Firecracker image which was kindly sent to me by Denise and Erin and what little colouring there was, I did with my Promarkers. Snowball has been filled with Stickles. Cardstock is Bazzill and DP is Cricut Christmas Cheer. Sentiment is Dovecraft, rik rak is Doodlebug and snowflake is from my stash.

Birthday Elephant

Here's yet another stamp I've had for a while which has never seen the light of day!! Slowly starting to work through them and ink them all up! The image is from Whipper Snapper and has been coloured with Promarkers with a little doodling added around the edges. Papers are from DCWV, flower is from Doodlebug (I think!) and sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. Really going to make a concerted effort over the next couple of days to make some Christmas cards.....I'm way behind with them this year....HELP!!!!

Stamp Something Inspiration

Oops, sorry, got to apologise yet again for not being around. However, have been so busy sorting out matters in my personal life, that I just didn't have the time or inclination to make anything. However, have managed to give myself a kick up the backside and got back to working with the rest of the DT on Stamp Something. This week's challenge is set by Melissa and is an inspiration challenge. This is the picture you have to take your ideas from...... ......and this is my interpretation of it...... I'm ashamed to say I've had this stamp for years and have never used it before!! It's from Stamps Happen and called "If men could read". I've coloured her with Promarkers and added some doodling around the edges before matting it onto some SU Real Red c.s. Used the SU corner rounder punch to make the scalloped edge. Papers are from Pink Petticoat Lola's Boudoir collection and ribbon is from Doodlebug. Not sure about the oversized brads but think they c...

The Sweetest Thing!

The challenge on Stamp Something this week is to make something "sweet" so got one of my favourite PB stamps out which I thought would be ideal for this. Do you recognise the paper? lol!! If I'm making anything remotely connected to chocolate, I just have to use these papers!! Image is PB Sweet Slumber which has been coloured with Promarkers and the Woodware sentiment has been stamped underneath. DP is Doodlebug and c.s. is Bazzill Bling. Used my Quickutz Flourish die for the swirl and added some pink Papermania sticky gems. Ribbon is from my stash and has been attached to main image with SU slot punch and also used corner rounder from SU. Do you remember I said I'd been busy making Teachers' cards and gifts, well here's a little something which I decorated yesterday in the same papers. Used my SU corner rounder on the edge of the paper to make the scallops. Sentiment card is from Craftwork Cards as are the Chocolate Drops. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling - an idea...

Thanks A Latte!!

Another quick post today as I'm very busy........Sam is off school today due to a Teachers' strike, got loads of cards and projects to make as thank yous for the Teachers as school finishes on Monday, plus we've got Lewis's Sports Day this afternoon if it doesn't decide to rain!!! This card is one of the Thank You cards for the Teachers - I've got quite a few to make so have kept it very simple, sticking with the layout I have been using recently. This one is an actual card but have also made some as cardfolders and put a Starbucks voucher and chocolate inside the pockets as a small gift. Image is Lattebella coloured with Promarkers and the sentiment stamp is from MFT. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling and papers are Doodlebug. Sticky gems are Papermania and Chocolate Drops are from Craftwork Cards. Finally, rounded all the edges with my SU corner rounder. Must rush as I need to get Sam to pack away all his mess!!
