Meeting Vanessa and Sam's Birthday Part III

What fantastic weather we're having at the moment...it's been so hot today!! Had a lovely day today, met up with Vanessa of Nessy's Notes for the first time at Craft Central for a bit of shopping and I was an extremely good girl.....didn't spend much at all, although couldn't say the same for Vanessa!! Anyway, here's a pic of us outside the shop before we parted. (I'm the one on the right!) Thanks Vanessa and Marion for an enjoyable day...it was lovely actually getting to meet you and hope you managed to get the chocolate brownie off your teeth!! Back to Sam's birthday and thought I would post the card I made for Lewis (his big brother) to give to him. Lewis actually made his own card (which I will hopefully post tomorrow as I haven't yet photographed it) but insisted I make one as well. All the images are from Pink Cat Studio and were kindly sent to me by Dawn. I coloured them with Brushables and put some doodling 'round Billy. Paper is fro...

Sam's Birthday Part II

Morning all! Gorgeous hot sunny day in Weymouth, so it looks like our Summer is on its way! Thought I would show you the birthday card I made for Sam. This card is the design of Dawn of All Pink Girl and I must thank her for all the help she gave me to make this. You're a lovely lady Dawnie and so kind and generous!! Most people tend to case a card they like but I have to put my hands up and say I have blatantly copied this one......but with Dawn's permission!!!! All the images are Pink Cat Studio and the papers are Pink Petticoat. Cardstock is Bazzill. When I saw this card on Dawn's blog, I just knew I had to make it for Sam and he loved it!! Well, Sam's party at Monkey World yesterday was brilliant! The weather was gorgeous, but not too hot but the best part was, when we arrived at 2.00 pm, the car park was packed but we had decided to take the kids in and let them eat first, which we did, and by the time they had finished their meal, most people had started to go ho...

Some More Red!!

Thought I would get a quick posting in as I'm out for most of the morning and some of the afternoon today. The cards I have made recently were inspired by Zoe , she is new to blogging but someone I have known through DoCrafts and her cards are fabulous! Saw her latest designs and thought I would have a go myself :) I've used an image from Pink Cat Studio and coloured it with Marvy with a little glamour dust on her glasses....the sentiment is also from PCS. The card has been layered with red Bazzill c.s. and some white c.s. which has been run through the Cuttlebug with the circles embossing folder. The c.s. which the image is on has been embossed on the top and bottom and finally three sticky gems from Papermania have been added to the bottom of the card. Very simple but I think it makes the card look fresh and quite elegant! Will have more to share later when I'm back home....hope you all have a good Wednesday :)

Red and White

Finally got around to completing the DCM challenge for this week, it is: "....this week we decided on a colour combination for a change. We want you to design a card using only red and white on your cards....." Papers are from Pink Petticoat, ribbon is from Dovecraft and Papermania sticky gems were also used. The image and sentiment are from Pink Cat Studio and was coloured with Marvy with a little Stickles added to the flower on her hat. Back to work now to try and catch up with the other challenges!
