Aren't I A Lucky Girl!!

Sorry I couldn't do my posting yesterday but I did try! I sat down to edit the photos to load them on and my PSP wouldn't load properly for some bizarre reason. Anyway, it's all sorted now so here we go.....got lots to show - not from me but from all you kind people out there! I'll start with the card I made recently for yet another kids birthday party lol! Wasn't that pleased with this one as it was VERY rushed and usually, when I'm not happy with a card, I will throw it to one side and start again but I really didn't have time with this one so had to settle for this. The image is Stampendous (just love those cheeky monkies!) and I've coloured it with Brushables, c.s. is Bazzill, DP is Doodlebug, sentiment is from High Hopes and brads and ribbon are from my stash. Crikey, that was quick!!! Look what I won recently! Jenny at Stamping Moments held a blog candy competition recently and I couldn't believe it when I won! It felt like Christmas opening u...

Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside!!!

Excuse my singing....good job you can't hear it!! The challenge on Tilda and Friends ATC this week is Beside the Sea and as I received a new beach scene stamp this week, couldn't wait to ink it up! Used my cute little Tilda in her bathing costume and hat and used Brushables to colour her. Added some Glamour Dust to her wings and some Glossy Accents to her rubber ring. She has been cut out and fixed to the beach scene with foam pads. The background stamp is from High Hopes and again, I have coloured this with Brushables and added some Liquid Applique to the clouds to make them appear fluffy....you might get a better view in this picture..... ....and basically, that was it, very quick and simple! There are a couple more things I would like to share with you. One is a gorgeous card I received from Heather. I'm afraid my photo doesn't do it justice as it's even more gorgeous IRL. It was packed full of wonderful stamped images.....sorry forgot to photograph them......s...

Lots to Show!

Still struggling I'm afraid, but have managed to make a couple of cards and here's one of them..... This is for the Tilda & Co challenge.....I know, I know....I'm late with this one but thought I would have a go anyway as one of my nephews' birthday is coming up soon so thought it would kill two birds with one stone!! The challenge was to use just black and white and I really enjoyed making this. Used William the Goblin and coloured him with Prismas and Sansodor. Paper is from Pink Petticoat printed onto lightweight cardstock, c.s. is Bazzill and ribbon is from Doodlebug. Also used the Magnolia snail and left him white but added some Glamour Dust to his shell. Sentiment is from Autumn Leaves and sticky gems are Papermania. I'm a member of the Tilda and Friends Forum and we recently did an ATC swap and I received these lovely ones back! Annie's ATC Shary's ATC Sue's ATC Aren't they gorgeous?!! Thanks Ladies! I've also received two awards. Thi...

I've Got Something To Show!!!

Well, at long last I've finally got something to show and this is down to the help my friend Jose has given me.....she volunteered to edit my photos for me until I get the appropriate software loaded onto Lewis's PC. Thank you so much Jose....you really are a great friend....and not forgetting John too (her husband!) whose computer knowledge has been invaluable and his patience with me has been amazing!!!! I know I missed the deadline for this challenge but am slowly working my way through them so I can catch up - the theme before last on Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge blog was May Celebrations and here is my little creation. This Tilda image was sent to me by Annie and I've coloured her with Prismas and Sansodor, paper is a scrap piece of Blonde Moments Sugar Dumpling and flowers are a variety from my stash with Papermania sticky gems added to the centres. Wording is Doodlebug rub-ons. It's been a hectic week for me with loads still to do for Sam's party on Sa...

Going Dotty!

Well, my carpets are wonderfully clean!!...the Carpet Cleaner came today and has done a brilliant job so I am hoping there won't be any more accidents for a while, although Sam did complain his tummy was hurting this morning!! Did get on with a few things while the carpets were being cleaned including my two baskets of ironing, three loads of washing and an ATC....yes, I sat down and did a bit of colouring and then when he'd gone, put a quick ATC together....I feel very chuffed with myself for accomplishing quite a lot when I originally thought it was going to be a wasted morning for me. The theme on Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge this week is "Going Dotty!".....I don't know about going, I think I've already gone!! Anyway, here is my contribution...... I've used Edwin sat on his pencil but cut off the pencil and coloured him with Prismas and Sansodor and added some Glamour Dust to his wings. Scraps of brown, pink and green Bazzill c.s. have been used wit...

It's Wet And Windy!

The challenge on Tilda and Friends ATC this week is..... "....to create some wet and windy ATCs and we have a set of Magnolia fish stamps to give away to one lucky entry..." I stamped out a couple of images and coloured them and didn't know which one to use so decided to make two! They're both very similar. Both Tildas have been coloured with Prismas and Sansodor and Glamour Dust on their wings but I did use a Marvy pen to colour in the flowers on the top Tilda's bathing hat as they were so tiny! I have used a Sakura glaze pen on the rubber rings to try and make them shiny but that doesn't show up too good in the photos. Papers and c.s. are scraps from my stash and the crab is a button I've had for ages....always knew I'd find a use for him! Used my Dymo for the sentiment. They're both quite basic as I did rush them a bit so I could get the challenge finished now rather than on Tuesday evening!!!

Cooking It Up!

As promised, I'm back with my Tilda and Friends ATC challenge. The theme this week is...... "....In addition to the Magnolia stamp, we want you to mix 1 bow, 2 flowers, 3 colours (as well as flesh tones) and 4 brads or gems....." For this ATC, I've used Tilda in Paris which was kindly sent to me by Sue as I had a bit of trouble ordering mine......thanks Sue! I've coloured her with Prismas and Sansodor, cut her out and fixed her to the ATC with foam pads. Well, I think I've completed the challenge - I've got one dodgy bow!!! (I know now why I tie knots in my ribbons and not bows!!!), two tiny flowers, three colours......green, blue and brown, and four brads - two in the centres of the flowers and the other two in the top right-hand corner. All bits used are from my stash but I do know the flowers are Prima.

Check It Out!

Back again! The challenge on Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge is to use checks on your work in whatever form you like. Couldn't make up my mind which image to use this week, so I did two!! I've used the first ever Tilda I bought (one of my favourites), paper pieced her top and coloured her with Prismas and Sansodor. I added glamour dust to her wings and some glaze pen to her shoes. I also used the steps coloured again with Prismas and Sansodor. Tilda has been placed on the steps with foam pads to 3D her. Paper and c.s. are scraps from my stash, flower is from Sir Stampalot and sticky gems are Papermania. Sentiment is from Woodware. Now for the second one...... I've used the same scraps of paper and cardstock for this one but used the Magnolia teddy. Coloured him with Prismas and Sansodor and paperpieced the pads on his paws, the heart, inside of his ears and his patch (very fiddly I can tell you!!). Brads are from my stash, sentiment is from Autumn Leaves and flower is from ...

Blue and Yellow

Good morning everyone and what a beautiful day it is down here in Sunny Dorset....yes sunny!! No rain but brilliant sunshine...it makes such a nice change! Only trouble is, I'm looking at the garden and thinking it really needs a tidy up and the lawn is in real need of cutting! Anyway, let's forget the lawn for a moment and talk about the challenge on Tilda & Friends ATC blog!! This week it's.... "....the inspiration for the ATCs this week is taken from the colours of the Swedish Flag, the home of Magnolia stamps...." Kept this one simple and decided not to wander from the blue and yellow. I made the sky with an ink pad and tore some blue paper from my scrap box to create the "foam" on the top of the waves. The sun was coloured with Prismas and Sansodor and then glamour dust was added to the whole image. I cut it out and then stuck it to the top of the ATC, trimming off some of the edges. The Tilda image is one I bought over the last couple of weeks ...

Chocolate Creations and Treats!

Tilda & Friends ATC challenge this week is:- "....It's that time of year when the shelves in the shops are full of Easter Eggs of all sizes from those easy to pop into the mouth mini eggs to some very large and incredibly high caloried creations! So I've taken inspiration from them all and challenge you to a CHOCOLATE CREATION!.." Tilda has been coloured with Prismas and Sansodor with some Glamour Dust added to her wings (of course!). The paisley and stripe papers are from Doodlebug (one of my favourite sets at the moment!) and the plain shimmery paper is from Craftwork Cards as are the sentiment card and the little chocolate chips.

In the Pink!

Slowly starting to catch up with all my crafting projects which means the house is a tip!! Completed my ATC for the Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge which this week is "In the Pink". I have used Magnolia Tingla which has been coloured with Prismas and Sansodor and glamour dust added to her wings and the bottom of her top. The papers are Pink Petticoat, the plain piece has been run through my Cuttlebug with my new Swiss Dots folder.....I say new, however, I've had it a while but this is the first time I've used it! Also used a scrap of mirricard from my stash. The sentiment is part of the Just Hatched set from Papertrey Ink, the flower is from Poppicrafts, sticky gems are Papermania and the brad is from my stash. Hope to be able to show some more tomorrow as I've got a couple more creations but I'm waiting for ink etc., to dry! Off to Lewis's Maths Cafe this afternoon.......parents are invited to go for a coffee and a cake and the kids serve you and have to...

Tilda and Friends ATC Challenges - Time to Sparkle

There's a new challenge site here which went live last night. It's for all you crafters out there who love Magnolia and the only rules are that you make an ATC (standard size) with at least one Magnolia and include the theme for the week. This week the spec is ".....we would like you to celebrate our new venture and make your ATC sparkle! The rest is up to you...." I've never made an ATC before but because the girls involved are all blogging buddies of mine, thought I'd give it a go! Please be gentle with me as this is my first one!!! I coloured Tilda's dress and flower in her hair with Stickles, added some glamour dust to her wings and the spots on her wellies and coloured her boots and hair with Brushables. The patterned c.s. is DCWV Pocket Full of Posies with Sparkle. I used scraps of mirricard and bazzill (which I paper pricked), layered the c.s. and mounted Tilda with foam pads. Flower is from Poppicrafts and added some sticky gems from Papermania...
