Birthday Worm!

Lewis is off to a birthday party today so had to make a quick card for him to take. The girl in question is a bit of a tom boy so decided not to go for the usual pink girly card. Took several photos of this one but just couldn't get the colour of the green patterned paper to turn out right....it's definitely brighter IRL!! When I'd made it, realised it fitted in with the CCT challenge this week which is to use patterned paper. Have used my Whipper Snapper worm and coloured him with Brushables, adding a little glitter to his party hat. Layered him with my Nestabilities rectangles and added a flower and brad from my stash. Used some turquoise c.s. from my stash and the patterned paper which unfortunately, didn't have a name on the back - I've had it for ages and think it came from a monthly kit I used to subscribe to. Ribbon is also from my stash and greeting is from Craftwork Cards. Finally, added some Papermania sticky gems to the top right-hand corner and the

Sketch Something!

It's Friday which means it's time for the Stamp Something Challenge! This week it's a sketch by the very talented Katharina. I must admit, this did cause me a few problems because I don't normally use circles - rectangles, squares, ovals yes, but not circles! I decided to use my other new duck from High Hopes.....I think he looks so cheeky!.......and coloured him with Prismas and Sansodor then cut him out using the circles Nestabilities and embossed the edge. Also cut out a larger circle in the lime Bazzill c.s. and added the sentiment from Studio G (CCT prize) and three small flowers stickers from Sue Dreamer. Papers are from Blonde Moments and apricot c.s. is Bazzill Bling. Ribbon is SU Certainly Celery. Still trying to sort and hide my craft stash before Tony gets home....I'm getting there slowly! However, been internet shopping like crazy so when he's home and I'm not buying anything he will think "wow, isn't she good"!!!! Have a great day

Martha's Turn!

Good morning all and what a very wet day it is in Weymouth.....pouring with rain! Have to go out this morning so thought I would quickly add this card as it seems an age since I last made one! When I made my black and white card with William the Goblin, Lewis absolutely loved it and asked me if I would make one similar for his friend's birthday. His friend is a girl and so decided to use Martha, however, this card wouldn't work with the original layout so changed it slightly and then discovered it qualified for the CCT challenge!! Coloured Martha with Prismas and Sansodor and used my Nestabilities to make the ovals. Papers are from Pink Petticoat printed onto lightweight c.s., ribbon is Doodlebug, sentiment is from SU and used the SU punches for the layering. Sticky gems are Papermania. Sorry this is so rushed but have an appointment to keep. Hope the weather is better where you are!

Look What I Got!

Good Morning everyone....very dull and wet day in Weymouth today but hopefully the weather will improve as the week goes on as the kids are off school this week. Wanted to share a few things I received over the past week. Firstly my SBS-13 Sister Heather, sent me these gorgeous cards in our card swap. Sorry about the photos as they really do not do the cards justice. They are so pretty and beautifully coloured....what a talented lady Heather is and she sent me some acrylic stamps as well....how lucky am I?!! I have also received some awards over the last week.... I got the Kreative Blogging from Sue and both of the awards from my SBS-13 Sister Jo. Thanks so much girls so firstly you can both have them back again as I love visiting your blogs and seeing what creations you have come up with! I would like to give the Kreative Blogging Award to Dawn for two reasons (1) her work is absolutely fabulous and always inspires me and (2) although I haven't known her that long and have never

Dunno Ducky!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PHIL! It's my Brother's birthday today and like many people, I always find it difficult to make a male card so thought I would ink up my Dunno Ducky from High Hopes and this is the result..... The base of the card has been covered with Blonde Moments DP and I made a panel using Bazzill Bling c.s. embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The duck has been coloured with Prismas and Sansodor and cut out with my round Nestabilities. Added some Doodlebug ribbon and some Bazzill brads and was going to use my PB sentiment "Another Birthday? Weren't you old enough last year?!!", however, it was too big for the card so just made the first part of the sentiment on the computer and used the second part on the insert. The colours of the card have come out a bit dull as it's alot more brighter IRL. Trying to make the most of the weather today as they've given heavy rain tomorrow!

Faux Somethings!

It's Friday which means it's time for the next Stamp Something challenge. This week it's Faux Somethings which can only mean one thing for me......stitching! ! I've used this Tilda with her broom.....I bought her a little while ago and thought it was about time I inked her up. I've coloured her with Prismas and Sansodor and drawn around the edge then mounted her onto Bazzill c.s. The card base has been layered with Bazzill c.s. and Karen Foster DP (which has faux stitching on!) and I've run the lime green piece of card through the Cuttlebug with the Swirls embossing folder. I then added Doodlebug faux stitches rub ons around the edges of each layer. The sentiment is a Studio G stamp, which I won on the CCT challenge site and the flowers are Prima Sprites with a small brad from my stash. Finally, three tiny sticky gems from Papermania were added to the top left-hand corner. Don't laugh at me but this Tilda reminded me of Cinderella cleaning up before her tran

Happy Birthday Aaron!

It's Vanessa's eldest Son's birthday today so HAPPY BIRTHDAY AARON and hope you have a great day! which leads me on to the card I have to show...it's the one I made him so hope you received it in time! Really quite difficult to make cards for boys who are 11 so here's what I did. The image is courtesy of Fran and I've coloured it with Brushables. Cardstock is Bazzill and paper is Daisy Bucket. Used my SU punch to make the tab and fixed it to the card with some eyelets from my stash. Xtreme stamp is from Rubbadubadoo and "Totally Special" stamp is from Autumn Leaves (I think!). Feeling a bit down in the mouth today as Chelsea lost the football last night and haven't heard from Tony this morning so he must be really depressed! as he got up at 4.00 in the morning to watch the match!! Never mind, we'll be back!!

And This One Really Was Quick!!

I'm not kidding! Realised this morning that I needed a "thank you" card to go with a little present for a friend who I was seeing tonight and bearing in mind I was out most of the day and this evening, it really was a rush job! I've been dying to use this stamp which arrived last month then when I went to stamp it, realised I hadn't mounted it!! Anyway, this was the end result....... I do like to keep my cards quite simple and clean looking and thought I'd stick with the red and white theme. The stamp is Latte Bella coloured with Marvy and mounted onto red Bazzill c.s. cut with my Nestabilities and Cuttlebug, with three Papermania sticky gems. The base of the card is red Bazzill c.s. again and some white card embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. Sentiment is from MFT. Very simple but quite effective I think! Off to watch the football now......COME ON CHELSEA!!!!

Another Quick One!

Well, it's a better day today! Feeling alot better in myself at long last, and my other problems seem to have been sorted (fingers crossed!). The sun is out so I'm feeling alot more positive now and ready to get down to some crafting. This is another quick card I made last night....I've got so many birthdays coming up that it's getting difficult to keep track of them - three on Thursday just for starters!! This one is for a friend of mine - I'm not 100% happy with it as it didn't turn out as expected and also, when I added the Glossy Accents to the bath tub, it's distorted the card somewhat but what the heck!! The image and sentiment are from MFT and I've coloured it with Marvy and added Glossy Accents to the bath tub to give it a shine and Glamour Dust to the bubbles, although I think you will have to click on the photo to get a better look. The background has been made with red Bazzill c.s. and some white c.s. run through the Cuttlebug with the Spots

A Quick Birthday Card

This card was quickly made as you will see by the colouring....oops, went over the lines a bit but was in a bit of a rush as I made it late Friday night for a party Sam was going to on Saturday. I've used my Tilda with balloons (which I haven't actually used before, even though I've had her for a while!) and coloured her with Prismas and Sansodor and added some glaze to the balloons and Glamour Dust to her wings. She has been layered onto mirricard (what else!!) and Bazzill c.s. and did some doodling around the edges. DP is from Blonde Moments and sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. Threaded the velvet ribbon (which was from my stash) through the image using my SU slot punch. Sticky gems are from Papermania.

Lots to Show!

Still struggling I'm afraid, but have managed to make a couple of cards and here's one of them..... This is for the Tilda & Co challenge.....I know, I know....I'm late with this one but thought I would have a go anyway as one of my nephews' birthday is coming up soon so thought it would kill two birds with one stone!! The challenge was to use just black and white and I really enjoyed making this. Used William the Goblin and coloured him with Prismas and Sansodor. Paper is from Pink Petticoat printed onto lightweight cardstock, c.s. is Bazzill and ribbon is from Doodlebug. Also used the Magnolia snail and left him white but added some Glamour Dust to his shell. Sentiment is from Autumn Leaves and sticky gems are Papermania. I'm a member of the Tilda and Friends Forum and we recently did an ATC swap and I received these lovely ones back! Annie's ATC Shary's ATC Sue's ATC Aren't they gorgeous?!! Thanks Ladies! I've also received two awards. Thi

A Little Something To Say Thank You!

The challenge this week on Stamp Something is "A Little Something to Say Thank You" and I think this is very appropriate for me at the moment. I want to say thank you to all of you who are visiting my blog even though I haven't been posting any cards lately. I haven't been feeling 100% and have had a very stressful couple of days which now means I am behind on my cards and blogging....yet again!! so a big THANK YOU for bearing with me. However, did manage to make my card for the DT..... I have used my cute little mouse from Whipper Snapper and coloured him with Brushables with some Glamour Dust added to the flowers. Papers are from Pink Petticoat printed onto lightweight card and matted with mirricard. Flowers are from Poppicrafts and pearl brads and sticky gems are from Papermania. Hope to catch up with my cards and blogging and will also be posting some news of blog candy very soon so watch this space!! In the meantime, pop on over to Stamp Something and give the ch

Final Chapter of Sam's Birthday and Some RAKs

Have managed to take some photos of the gorgeous cards Sam received on his birthday and would like to share them with you. The first is the card I mentioned yesterday from Lewis, his big brother..... He'd used some liquid pearls or something on the "today" so unfortunately, half the envelope stuck to it....bless him!! Even though I bought a present for him to give Sam, he insisted on going to the shop himself and bought him a big bar of chocolate and some tatoos out of his pocket money!! The next card is from Vanessa and she'd picked up on the fact that Sam absolutely loves Mr Men! Sorry the card is a bit curled but you can blame that on the hot weather we've been having at the moment as the sun has bent it somewhat! The following card was from Jose and I was amazed when Sam opened it as I'd never seen one like this before....definitely going to have to make one of these! This is what it looks like closed...... ...and this is it open! Before my computer died

Meeting Vanessa and Sam's Birthday Part III

What fantastic weather we're having at the moment...it's been so hot today!! Had a lovely day today, met up with Vanessa of Nessy's Notes for the first time at Craft Central for a bit of shopping and I was an extremely good girl.....didn't spend much at all, although couldn't say the same for Vanessa!! Anyway, here's a pic of us outside the shop before we parted. (I'm the one on the right!) Thanks Vanessa and Marion for an enjoyable day...it was lovely actually getting to meet you and hope you managed to get the chocolate brownie off your teeth!! Back to Sam's birthday and thought I would post the card I made for Lewis (his big brother) to give to him. Lewis actually made his own card (which I will hopefully post tomorrow as I haven't yet photographed it) but insisted I make one as well. All the images are from Pink Cat Studio and were kindly sent to me by Dawn. I coloured them with Brushables and put some doodling 'round Billy. Paper is fro
