Planes, Trains & Automobiles

As promised, I'm back with some cards to show you. It's a busy day for me today so this may seem a bit rushed! The challenge on CCT this week is...... "Planes, trains and automobiles...but of course, we wouldn't restrict you to just those vehicles, absolutely any mode of transport is allowed!....." I think I may have got a bit carried away with this challenge as I've done three cards! I probably would have done more but time caught up with me. Anyway, when I looked at the finished cards, I realised I've made them in my favourite colours - red and teal/turquoise!! It wasn't intentional....it's just funny how I'm drawn to those colours. I must admit, it was a bit weird making Christmas cards in April.....must have been the snow at the weekend getting me in the mood!! For this card, I used Pink Petticoat designs printed onto lightweight c.s., with the plain piece embossed with the Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder. The image is Christmas Rid...

I've Reached The End!!!

Lovely sunny day here in Dorset today.....still extremely windy but no rain, thank goodness. Cannot shift this stinking cold I've caught and finding it difficult to motivate myself as I feel so tired and just to top it all, got a call from Lewis's school to say he was unwell so he was home today......we came home and both had a nap! He feels alot better for it but I could have done with another ten hours!!!! My new camera arrived yesterday.....whoo hoo!!! just got to work out how to use it now! Actually have had a go and managed to work out how to take a photo and upload it but the instruction book is pretty thick (just like me!) and is going to take me ages to work through. Anyway, the main thing is I've managed to photograph the work I did yesterday and the news is.........I'm PIF free!!!! I managed to do seven folders yesterday plus all the bits and have posted them all this afternoon. So to the ladies concerned.....thank you for being patient and they are now on the...

More Folders!

Just a quick post as we are "in between" gradings! Sam graded this morning and got his green belt - he got his Stranger Danger badge and a Future Black Belt badge and came third overall.....bless him!! Just had a quick lunch and then it's back over the other side of Weymouth for Lewis's grading....his is more "serious" because he is in the Juniors so will be attempting to get his yellow belt. He doesn't get nervous at all which I'm not sure is a good or bad thing.....it's always me who's biting my nails!! Anyway, yes, we're still going on sending out the PIFs. Thought I'd share the last couple of folders I sent out......I'm a little behind with the others because I hadn't been feeling too well but hope to get them all sorted by the end of the week at the latest, so if you haven't had yours yet, then please don't panic, I'm just on slow mode at the moment! The images are from Sugar Nellie and I coloured these with ...

Sorry I'm Late!

I know I promised to post the last PIF yesterday but had a chaotic kind of day and today I'm not feeling very well at all. Thought I just had a head cold but as the day progressed, shivers set in and I've been curled up on the sofa with a blanket and the heating on......the funny thing is, it's a beautiful day here today...quite mild and very sunny, so something is not right with me!! We've got to go out this evening as well when all I want to do is go to bed.......where's my husband when I need him most!!! This morning was Sam's assembly at school. They are so cute to watch and it makes you realise how much they are actually learning. Thought I'd share a picture with you - sorry it's not too good but I'm still using my Sister's camera. Do you like the hat?!!! Can you guess what the theme of the assembly was? The Great Fire of London of course!! Anyway, it was excellent and they all enjoyed themselves. Now to the final PIF (breathes a BIG sigh of...

Some More Folders!

Just a quick posting as I've been busy making today and now have to clean out my Son's guinea pigs before I pop out to Craft Central to get a few bits. Thought I'd just share a few more folders I've made recently for my PIFs and it was my first proper go at using my Prismas and Sansodor. I'm hoping that these have reached the ladies concerned!! The images used are from Sugar Nellie and used some gorgeous double sided silk screen card from Papermania. The idea of the folders comes from the very talented Katharina and you can find a link to her blog on my sidebar. Will be back later with my final PIF on offer......thank goodness!!!

Another PIF and Another Award!!

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you but I've been out all day and it was Tae Kwon-do tonight for the boys so a late tea for them and late to bed. I think I've now caught up with my blogging so now on to this posting and then I'm off to bed!! Believe me, I need my beauty sleep!! Firstly, I've received a "You Make My Day" Award from Vanessa Thanks Vanessa.....it really is appreciated and all I can say is take it right back girl cause you make my day with your cheerful comments! I promised you another PIF so firstly, would like to show you what I got from Tara A gorgeous card, gorgeous images and gorgeous candy....thanks Tara. So the first three people to leave a comment on this post will receive something from me. Don't worry if you miss out as there will be one more tomorrow!! Will it never end LOL!! Well, I've actually got a day in tomorrow so, all being well, hope to say a big no-no to the housework and get down to some serious crafting......

New Look Blog!

What a beautiful morning today! Sun is out and although we had a slight frost last night, it has warmed up down here in Dorset. Have you noticed my "new look" blog. This is all thanks to Jo . She was recommended to me by Annie and she designed a blog banner for me using a couple of pieces of my own work and then helped me change the blog background. I would thoroughly recommend using her because even for a computer thicko like me, her instructions were so clear and simple that even I did it first time!! Back to the PIFs, I've got three ladies for the one I posted yesterday so if you missed out, pop back later because I will be posting another one!

More PIFs and Tagged!

Hi all! Sorry I haven't been around for a couple of days but have been trying to catch up with various jobs. Hope to be able to visit some blogs tonight and see what everyone has been up to. Have been tagged twice more by my SBS-13 Sisters Jo and Gia.....thanks girls! The tag is the one I completed last Thursday under "Catching Up" so if you want to know the answers, take a peek. Got a bit of a shock this morning (a nice one I might add!), got three PIFs in the post!! which means I've got alot more folders to make!! What I've decided to do is show one each day so it will give me time to prepare some little goodies to send out, so this is the first one: I've been eyeing up these images for a while so thanks Jilli !! She also made me a folder to put them in........I've been promising to make a couple for myself but just haven't had time because I've been making so many for other people so that will come in very handy Jilli! The first three people to...

Something to Show

I thought I'd just share some little things I made recently to send off my PIFs. I got the idea for these folders from Katharina , she is such a talented lady and it's well worth a visit to her blog. The image on the front of the folders is Henrietta from Pink Petticoat and the tops of the bags are from Pinkiepops with 'enjoy' stamped on them. Just wanted you to know that I am making things even though I haven't shown anything for a while!!

Catching Up Part II!

I mentioned earlier a PIF and would like to show the one I received from Fran. And a closer look at that fabulous card....... There's definitely no excuse for me not to make a card now with all the fantastic images I've acquired over the past couple of weeks! Thanks Fran for being so generous :) So now it's my turn to do another PIF. The first three people to leave a comment under this post will receive a little something from me and then they have to do the same on their blog.

Catching Up

Sorry I haven't been around lately....been busy sorting out some PIFs I have to send off so to all the ladies involved, sorry for the delay but I will be posting them tomorrow - all being well! I'll show you what I made when the people involved have received them. Got a few things to cover in this post, the first being I have been tagged by Jo so here goes! WHAT WERE YOU DOING TEN YEARS AGO? I was adjusting to the fact that I'd become a new Mum and what a shock that was. Lewis was about three months old so things had started to improve by then! WHAT WERE YOU DOING ONE YEAR AGO? Also making adjustments but this time getting used to being a 'single Mum' cause Tony had just left to work in Australia and I was (and still am!) left looking after the two kids. Must admit, it's been VERY tough and my hat goes off to all you girls who do this every day AND have a job! NAME YOUR FIVE FAVOURITE SNACKS None!!! That's 'cause I'm on a VERY strick diet at the mom...

Look What I Got Part 3!

Boo hoo ! They've only gone and killed off my eye candy, Steven, in Primeval. Just my luck! However, by the look of the ending, he could be resurrected.....hope they buried him with a shovel!!! Anyway, final posting for today and as promised, thought I show you what I got from the lovely Han for my PIF . More gorgeous goodies and a wonderful card! Thank you so much Han. It's been like Christmas all over again with all these lovely packages arriving. I really enjoy doing these PIFs , obviously I love receiving them but I also enjoy sending them. So now it's my turn to Pass It Forward so the first three people to leave a comment will receive a little something from me. Have actually stamped a couple of images tonight and coloured them.....I was getting a bit worried after a whole week of absolutely nothing! so hoping to soon be back in the swing of things. Have a relaxing Saturday evening :)

PIF

What a great morning.....the sun is out and the postman has brought me two parcels! One was a MSE storage box for my unmounted stamps, such as Magnolias etc., so now I can try and organise myself a bit and get them sorted out. The second package was two more Magnolias from Sir Stampalot......well, I do need to fill up my box now!!......couldn't get over how quickly they arrived - I only ordered them yesterday afternoon! Also, I received a gorgeous card and goodies from Annie for her PIF. The card is so sweet and the colouring is fantastic. I'm off up to Dorchester in a mo to try and get some Sansodor so I can have a play with my Prismas this weekend and if my colouring ends up half as good as Annie's, I shall be well chuffed!! Now it's my turn to do the PIF, so the first three people to leave comments on this post will receive some goodies from me. Off to Dorchester now and then we're going to the Sea Life Centre as a treat for the boys!
