Up-date

Hi all! Just to let you know that I've now got my new laptop. I was using Lewis's as mine died but unfortunately, his broke as well, so my lovely Dad has lent me the money to buy a new one. It was all a bit of a panic because I am starting a computer course this week where I can work from home so hopefully everything will be OK on that front now!! You will have to bear with me 'though because this new computer has Vista on it which I am not used to as my old one was XP but I'm gradually getting used to it and the computer course can only help!!! Beginning to feel a bit brighter in myself and finally managed to do some colouring yesterday with Sam - he actually made a card for his Dad but I didn't get that far!! However, do have some images coloured now so hoping to put something together soon. Think I will have to trawl the challenge sites for some sketches to give me some inspiration.

Sweeping Tilda

Here's another folder which I made a couple of weeks ago to send some images and which I haven't shown on my blog yet. The image is Magnolia which I've coloured with Promarkers. Papers are Pink Petticoat printed onto lightweight cardstock and rounded all corners with an SU punch. Used the SU slot punch to attach the organza ribbon which was from my stash and finally, added some sticky gems from Papermania. Same layout as I've used before but finding this to be quite simple and effective. Thanks everyone for bearing with me.......am beginning to get the urge to do some colouring so you never know, might have something new to share with you soon. Hope the weather is a bit better where you are - you would think we were in the middle of winter here.......torrential rain, strong winds and just a bit chilly!!!

Lucky Me!!

No, I haven't won the Lottery, although I live in hope lol!! However, I did receive this award last week from the lovely Sue - thanks so much Sue and sorry I'm so late in posting this but I'm sure you'll understand the reasons, and I'm sending it right back to you 'cause I love your blog as well!! Right, I've got to pass this on to seven blogs which I love and that is an impossible task! However, will pick out seven even though there are so many more!! Because I am late posting this, I think alot of you have already received this so please don't feel obliged to pass it on if you've already done it. I'm choosing the following blogs because their work really inspires me and they also bring a smile to my face! Dawn , Denise , Fran , Ila, Jose , Sue and Vanessa. Hope you're all having a great weekend.

A Quick Hello!

As promised, thought I should post something on here and as I mentioned before, here's a folder I made a little while ago as unfortunately, haven't been feeling much like creating at the moment :( I'm afraid my mojo has gone AWOL! The image is Magnolia and was a RAK from Vanessa. I've coloured him with Promarkers and mounted him onto Bazzill c.s. Papers are from Pink Petticoat and have been printed onto card to give them more substance. Ribbon, which is from my stash, has been threaded through the card using the SU slot punch. Finally, all corners were rounded with an SU punch.

Go Bananas!

First of all, I'd like to say a huge thank you to all you lovely people - all your messages, e-mails and cards mean so much to me at this difficult time. I'm using Lewis's laptop at the moment and with everything going on at the moment, haven't been able to load all my programmes onto it, so thought I would share this card which I made early last week. The images are all from High Hopes, including the sentiment, and have been coloured with Promarkers. DP is from K & Co., and c.s. is from my stash, as were the ribbon and brads. Used the SU slot punch to attach the ribbon. Camilla the Gorilla and the banana have been raised with foam pads. Was quite pleased with the finished result. Hope to be able to salvage a couple of other things from my old computer, which I made last week.

Sorry!

Hi, just a quick posting to let you know that I'm having real problems at the moment - in my personal life and with my laptop which has died on me. I'm back to using my son's computer at the moment so am able to pop in and check the blog and my mail but not much else. Hope to be back properly at some time soon.

Stamp Something Colour Challenge

This week's challenge on Stamp Something is set by Becky and is a colour challenge - blue, pink and green. Another one to make me stop and think! so I had a rummage through my papers and worked from that. The image is called Sweet 'n' Sassy and was a RAK from Vanessa. I've coloured it with my Promarkers and then used Nestabilities to cut it out and layer it. Paper is Basic Grey and c.s. is Bazzill Bling and Certainly Celery from SU, which was embossed with the Cuttlebug Stylized Flowers folder. The sentiment is Penny Black and flowers and brads are from my stash. SU punch was used to round the corners.

Friday Sketchers Challenge #13

Have been meaning to take part in this challenge since it began but what with one thing and another, it just hasn't happened until this week that is. This week the sketch has been set by Kimmie of Canada...... The papers and image were RAKs - I think the image is Whipper Snapper but if I'm wrong, please correct me. I've coloured her with Promarkers - really lovin' these at the moment - and have run the red Bazzill c.s. through the Cuttlebug with the Spots & Dots folder, to match the pattern of the paper. Sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly and scallop was made using SU punch. Brads are from Bazzill. Hope to take part in more of these challenges in the future!

A Couple of Folders

Thought I would show a couple of folders I made recently for my friends Jose and Jilli. I needed to send some images and I always find this folder idea from Katharina is so quick and easy to make. Do the colours and papers look familiar? lol!! I actually made this first before I made the card on my last posting and liked the colours so much that I decided to base my last card on it. The image is Magnolia, coloured with Promarkers and a little Glamour Dust on her wings. Papers are Pink Petticoat printed onto lightweight cardstock, and sticky gems are Papermania. Ribbon is from my stash and have used the SU slot punch to attach it to the card. This one is exactly the same but just used a different Magnolia image and different papers from Pink Petticoat and some mirricard for layering. Finally, added Stickles to the bubbles. Must get on with some housework today and guess what?.....the sun has just emerged from behind all the clouds so hopefully might get some washing dry today!!

Pamper Yourself!

The card I'm posting today is for a friend's daughter who has turned 13 today so Happy Birthday Lisa!! I decided on an "older" themed card as she is very grown up for her age and into all the make-up and pampering which us ladies love but never have much time for!!! It looks like I've put this together very crooked, however, it's fine in real life - just must be the angle at which I took the photo! Anyway, I've used Underthehood Bella and coloured her with Promarkers and added a little Glamour Dust to the cupcake. Papers are from Pink Petticoat and cardstock is Bazzill. Sentiment is from MFT and I've punched a scallop (SU), layered the sentiment, then cut into the scallop for the flowery effect. Sticky gems are from Papermania and finally, used SU corner rounder punch for various corners on the card I've now got to walk up to the other end of the village and deliver this as I was late in making it - it's pouring with rain and just to make

Eloise The Third!

Ok, I'm sorry, it's Eloise again! However, I'd stamped her out a few times and it seemed a shame not to colour her in so here's the finished card and I promise, no more Eloise for a little while! She has been coloured with Promarkers and all papers are Pink Petticoat printed on lightweight cardstock. I've made a scalloped edge on the spotty card (which you can hardly see!!) using my SU corner rounder punch. Ribbon is from Dovecraft, sticky gems are Papermania and sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. Managed to get quite alot done yesterday as all it did here was rain.....was even sat in bed at 8.00 am this morning colouring images while everyone else had a lie in!! However, the sun is out today so must get on with some washing. Have a great day!

Merci!

A quick posting this morning as I'm having trouble with my car and have to take it to my Brother's so that he can take a quick look at it - think the brake pads are worn! So here's a quick card I made for a friend recently. I've used Eloise Greengrass again from Bella and coloured her with Promarkers - left off the Glamour Dust this time to keep her plain and simple! Cardstock is Bazzill and DP is Basic Grey, ribbons, flowers and brad from stash and sentiment is Penny Black. Finally, used SU corner rounder punch for all corners. Hope to be able to put some cards together later today as I've been busy colouring images and also the weather is not so good today so a perfect excuse to hide myself away in my room with my stash!! Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

A Card For Molly

Another birthday party for Sam today so thought I would show the card I've made for his friend Molly. Not too sure about this one but it will do! The image is called Eloise Greengrass from Bella and she has been coloured with Promarkers with lots of Glamour Dust added! Cardstock is Bazzill and DP is Basic Grey. Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and ribbon is from my stash. Used my circle Nestabilities for the image and backing and my SU corner rounder for the corners of the card. I am trying so hard to catch up on all my crafting/blogging jobs and would like to show two more awards I've received. This one was from Dawny P........ and this one was from Alex...... Thank you so much girls.....going to have a good think about who to pass it on to as I've just done one and it always takes me forever to decide as there are so many lovely, kind and talented people out there. Talking of Alex , I recently left a comment on someone's blog about those gorgeous little mail boxes whi

Blog Candy Alert!

Just trying to catch up on my blogging and found that Jacqui has some fantastic blog candy on offer to celebrate her hits......well done Jacqui!!

Thank You!

The Stamp Something challenge for this week is "Thank You"......it's to say thank you to everyone who took part in the Guest Designer competition by entering or by voting, so thank you all :) The image was part of a RAK I received and I absolutely love it.....so much so, that I've bought the set! They're Panduro and there's plenty of other cuties in the set! I've coloured her with Promarkers and then layered her onto SU Brocade Blue c.s. and Pink Petticoat Bluebell papers which have been printed onto lightweight c.s. Used the SU slot punch on one panel and threaded through some grosgrain ribbon from Dovecraft. Sentiment stamp is from SU, as is the scallop punch which I have used on Brocade Blue c.s. and cut into it to make it look more like a flower. I've got a feeling you're going to be seeing alot more "blue" cards as I'm really lovin' this range of papers at the moment! Hope you all have a great weekend.
