I'm so sorry I'm so late in getting back to you with the winner of my blog candy - things have been really busy here this week and I had some important things to sort out first concerning paperwork etc. Think I've now sorted that now (phew!) so now for the winner of the candy........but first!!! Hi All! Just to let you know that I will have some blog candy up for grabs in the next couple of days to celebrate my birthday which is coming up soon plus the fact that I've just noticed that I've passed the 40,000 mark on my counter. It's more of a thank you really for those of you who keep popping by my blog even though I haven't been about much.....I'm just waiting for the goodies to arrive and as soon as they're all here, will put a picture and posting on my blog. Had to pop back again to let you know about some candy! Firstly, Katharina who owns Whiff of Joy has a new release coming out which you can see on her blog and she is offering a set of them for a prize - wow! I already had this image stamped out so thought I'd better make use of it so decided to team it up with some of the papers I've been using recently. The stamp is from Penny Black and is called Chitchat and I've coloured it with my PM's. Papers are a mixture of DCWV, Papermania and Basic Grey (I think) and flowers and brads are from my stash. Sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. Finally, used my SU punch to round the corners. Would like to mention that the very talented Ila has some absolutely gorgeous blog candy up for grabs to celebrate her number of hits. Just thought you would like to know that my Valentine's mailboxes have been showcased on Elizabeth's blog (Elzybells). I was really chuffed when she e-mailed me to say she would like to do this, so thank you so much Elizabeth. Talking of the mailboxes, I have had a couple of questions about them. Firstly, I've no idea if they can be bought in the UK as mine were a gift from a friend, however, do know they are quite common in the States at places such as Michaels. I'm afraid I don't know the name of the shop I bought the sweets from....I did have a carrier bag from there and was telling Jilli, however, think I must have put it straight in the bin.....silly mare! Could be somewhere like Home Sense???? My other piece of nice news is that the lovely Debi has given me this award - Thanks so much Debi and sorry it's taken me so long to get around to putting it on my blog.....just had so much going on in my life lately. No card to show today and a quick posting as Vanessa and her family are coming to visit today, however, Amanda tagged me a couple of days ago and thought I would join in. Basically, you have to go into your Pictures file and pick the 6th folder and then the 6th photo and this is mine. It's my big boy Sam making a chocolate cake - this was taken last year sometime - he just loves baking (as does Lewis!) and in fact, Lewis was in the kitchen yesterday with his Dad making Drop Scones (although couldn't get over how quickly they whizzed through the recipe, must have been in a hurry to go somewhere pmsl!) - his own recipe! Delicious!! Now have to tag six people - I know alot of you have already done this so please feel free to not take part if you have already done so. Thought it was going to be a good day today but not looking like it at the moment - I've got both boys feeling ill!! Looks like they've got this bug AGAIN! At the moment they're on a cocktail of calpol and nurofen which perks them up for a little while, however, they are due to go to their Tae Kwon-do Christmas party today so will have to wait until nearer the time to see if they are up to it. Lovely lie in for all of us today - we don't seem to have had one of those in a while! - so while I'm sat here with my hair in a towel....yes, I've just got out of the shower, thought I would try and catch up with my blogging. Managed to visit some of the blogs last night whilst watching "I'm A Celebrity" (don't know who I dislike the most, Nicola or David!!) and will visit the rest over the next couple of days.
