Life is so Hectic!!

Well, I've finally managed to find time to do a posting.....still no card to share but have sorted some stuff out and hope to put one together tonight, all being well! The weather has changed today.....strong winds and rain....such a difference from the weekend where it was absolutely gorgeous.....even managed to lie out in my bikini and top up my tan! Finished the weekend off with a gorgeous roast dinner (my favourite!) - I'll let you into a little secret.....Tony's gravy is to die for! Anyway, enough of the ramblings and back to business! Have received some lovely things over the last few weeks so it's catch up time. Firstly, Michelle organised a Secret Sister swap and look what I got....... ....lots of lovely goodies to play with and the fabulous folder is filled with lots of stamped images! So, a BIG thank you to whoever my Secret Sister is. I should find out soon as I think I've delayed things a bit!! I've also received two awards over the last couple of we

Hi All!!

So sorry it may seem that I've been ignoring you but crafting has taken a bit of a back seat of late while I've been concentrating on my personal life. Had a really peaceful, enjoyable last ten days. We've also been enjoying some great weather down here at long last (unlike some of the foreign holiday resorts!), so me and Tony took the boys to the beach on Saturday and had a really fun time! It gave us chance to all spend some quality time together as a family and me and Tony even had some quality time of our own! So thought I would share a couple of photos with you! Will try a bit harder now to get some cards made! Thanks for stopping by.

Stamp Something Inspiration

Oops, sorry, got to apologise yet again for not being around. However, have been so busy sorting out matters in my personal life, that I just didn't have the time or inclination to make anything. However, have managed to give myself a kick up the backside and got back to working with the rest of the DT on Stamp Something. This week's challenge is set by Melissa and is an inspiration challenge. This is the picture you have to take your ideas from...... ......and this is my interpretation of it...... I'm ashamed to say I've had this stamp for years and have never used it before!! It's from Stamps Happen and called "If men could read". I've coloured her with Promarkers and added some doodling around the edges before matting it onto some SU Real Red c.s. Used the SU corner rounder punch to make the scalloped edge. Papers are from Pink Petticoat Lola's Boudoir collection and ribbon is from Doodlebug. Not sure about the oversized brads but think they c

Pen Pal

Well, I think Summer is well and truly over!! Torrential rain and strong winds makes you want to stay in and craft. I've been having a busy couple of days trying to sort various paperwork out, telephone calls, etc., but managed to put this card together yesterday. Sorry the photo isn't too good but it's so dark at the moment. This image is called Pen Pal from Sugar Nellie and was a RAK from Vanessa and I've coloured her with Promarkers. The papers are a free download from Summer Driggs (I think that's right!) and they are just so pretty. Used the SU corner rounder punch to make the scalloped edge and added some Papermania sticky gems. The sentiment is another download and I've cut it down a bit and layered it onto some more of the DP which has been cut using my Nestabilities. Must say a big thank you to all of you who have been leaving comments on my blog. I'm feeling a little better and I think the "fighter" in me has emerged! Really hope to get

Battered & Bruised!

First day back at school today for the boys and wow, was it quiet here!! As much as I love my boys, it was so good to have some me time today!! Here's a card I put together today for a friend.....I just love this Tilda and think she looks so cute! The image is Magnolia and the sofa is from Alota Stamps, both have been coloured with Promarkers. DP is from Basic Grey Boxer and c.s. is from my stash. Sentiment is MFT. Finally, added some Glamour Dust to her wings and the back cover on the sofa.

Still Alive & Kicking!!

Hi!! Sorry for the lack of postings but thanks for hanging in there and a HUGE thank you to Dawn because after our chat this morning, she inspired me to get going again and OMG, did she make me laugh!! What colour hair do you have today Dawn?!!!! Thanks also to Jose....you are just so kind to me and the boys :0) Anyway, here's the card I put together today - nothing special, just very simple to get me started. The image is High Hopes, coloured with Promarkers with some doodling around the edges. Papers are Pink Petticoat printed onto lightweight c.s. and the plain blue piece has been put through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly and has been layered onto blue c.s. which was cut with SU scalloped punch and I cut into it to give the flower effect and used a white gel pen to add the dots. Finally, added some Papermania sticky gems. Thanks for looking.
