Something For Me!

Better day today! The rain has stopped and the sun is out - what a difference from yesterday.

Decided to make myself something last night......don't know why really, as I've got plenty to get on with for other people. Anyway, this was the end result.

I covered the book covers in MAMBI blue floral paper and lined the insides with a pale blue Bazzill c.s. More Bazzill c.s. was used for the front of the book and on the lighter piece, I stamped the words 'memories' and 'journals' from Tim Holtz, in Versamark so it gave a watermark effect. The image is Magnolia which was coloured with Brushables and layered onto Bazzill c.s. Flowers are Bazzill and Papermania, Ribbon is Papermania and Dovecraft and brads are from my craftbox. Sticky gems are from Papermania. Lettering was made with George and Basic Shapes on my Cricut. Finally, the book was put together with my Bind It All.

Hi, Jo,

I'm having a look at Wymouth bloggers' sites, and I really like your one!
On 9 January you wrote, "So, have decided that when the counter hits 2000, I will be offering some blog candy." Well, you better get a-making that candy, Jo, because the counter is at 1990!. Good one!
Where did you get that wonderful clock?

Week 2 of Techniques

It’s the second week of Tando’s FB Live and the tutorial was by Jane Royston. This week the colours are more my style. I didn’t have the exact supplies so had to improvise a little. This was the end result... I love doing these tutorials.  I put aside time for me on a Saturday morning and just get lost in the moment...all worries are forgotten for an hour or so.  I would highly recommend it.

Chocolate Somethings

Friday again and Half Term has started! The boys finished school yesterday so hopefully, we've got a fun day together! The challenge on Stamp Something this week is chocolate - everybody's favourite! and there's one stamp I turn to when that word is mentioned. I've followed the sketch on Mojo Monday for this card. The image is from Penny Black and has been coloured with Promarkers. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling and papers are Doodlebug. Matted the image onto some c.s. which has been run through the Cuttlebug and threaded some ribbon through using SU slot punch. Finally added a brad from my stash . A big thank you to Jose for helping me with my images......love the way some of you girls have been putting a sneak peek at the top of your posts and Jose was nice enough (and clever enough) to explain how to do it. Hope you all have a great weekend.
