Anna is offering some blog candy so thought I would have a go! You have to make a card to celebrate a special birthday and because it's my friend's 40th next week, came up with this one.
It's a similar layout to the 50th Birthday card I made recently. I used a Magnolia stamp and this is the first time I have had a go at paper piecing for her top, the rest of her is coloured with watercolours and Brushables with a little glitter dust for her wings. Cardstock is from Bazzill, paper is from Karen Foster, the sparkly brads are Papermania and the flowers are from Poppicrafts. This is a bit of a first for me cause I've got green in it!! Don't ask me why, but I'm really nervous about using the colour and therefore, tend to avoid it!!
