Family Roots

Fran has some blog candy up for grabs...it's to make something, other than a bog standard card using a stamped image. At the moment, I'm desperately trying to make a book for my Sister's 50th birthday and I've finally got around to making the actual book and cover. The inside will have photos of Gt Grandparents, Grandparents, etc., so thought I would enter the book as it is at the moment.

I've used 8" x 8" covers and pages and put the book together with my Bind It All. The paper is from K & Co., and the stamped images are Magnolia's Tilda with a watering can and the winter tree. These have been coloured with watercolours and Brushables. The flowers are from Poppicrafts and the brads, metal "Family" label and sticky "Roots" letters are from my stash.

I love making books and have made quite a few recently, however, now have to do the inside of this one - 20+ pages!!!

Off out again today, but hope to load something else later.

My Surprise For Tony!!

As promised, I'm back to let you in on my surprise for Tony tomorrow! Don't know where to start with this but maybe a little personal history first. When I married Tony in 1996 I was a UK size 14. I've always had to watch my weight and never been naturally thin but was never vastly overweight either. In March 1997 I fell pregnant with Lewis and that's when the trouble started.....the weight piled on and after he was born as well because I wasn't eating properly and just grabbing food out of the fridge when I had a spare five minutes.....oh, the joys of being a new Mum! Then I got pregnant again with Sam and even though I didn't gain much more weight during pregnancy, I made up for it afterwards! Am I boring you yet! It took me ten years and many failed diets to finally get serious about losing weight so I started my diet in January this year and this is the evidence....... please do not show the first photo to small children or animals as it may scare them !!!!!...
