One More Book!

Kimmie has got a whole load of challenges going on this week to celebrate her birthday! Challenge #1 was to alter something. Well, I was stood at my craft desk trying to work out what I could alter and the answer was staring me right in the face. I had made this accordian book in a box for Tony for Valentines Day and thought this might fit the bill! This is a picture of what it looked like before:

I painted it with red acrylic paint and then used various papers including HOTP and Basic Grey. Alot of the embellishments are what I have accumulated over the years!! And this is what it looked like when I'd finished it!

I must admit, I was really pleased with the result and plan on doing some more of these in the future.

Will be back later to post a's been all go here at the moment with everyday stuff (got to go out again in an hour!) and have been up until Midnight most nights trying to catch up on my challenges ....think I'm beginning to get there!!

Card Requests

Been quite busy recently trying to juggle work, home life and the card requests I have received.  This type of card has proved very popular so here are the ones I have made so far...still have a few more projects and cards to complete before I am able to start on my own!

The two 50 cards do look almost identical however, they are for twins!

Birthday Wreath Card

Saw this design on one of AMD TV shows and fell in love with it immediately so set about making two different projects with the same design.
This is the first...

...a birthday card for a friend of mine.  I haven't quite finished the other project so I will show that another day.

A Special 60th

My lovely Sister is celebrating her 60th birthday today so had to make her a special card.  Her gift from us was money so also wanted to dress it up a little so made a Tim Holtz gift card holder to put the money in and attached it to the MDF 60.

The bag was a little rushed to say the least!
