One More Book!

Kimmie has got a whole load of challenges going on this week to celebrate her birthday! Challenge #1 was to alter something. Well, I was stood at my craft desk trying to work out what I could alter and the answer was staring me right in the face. I had made this accordian book in a box for Tony for Valentines Day and thought this might fit the bill! This is a picture of what it looked like before:

I painted it with red acrylic paint and then used various papers including HOTP and Basic Grey. Alot of the embellishments are what I have accumulated over the years!! And this is what it looked like when I'd finished it!

I must admit, I was really pleased with the result and plan on doing some more of these in the future.

Will be back later to post a card.....it's been all go here at the moment with everyday stuff (got to go out again in an hour!) and have been up until Midnight most nights trying to catch up on my challenges ....think I'm beginning to get there!!

Week 2 of Techniques

It’s the second week of Tando’s FB Live and the tutorial was by Jane Royston. This week the colours are more my style. I didn’t have the exact supplies so had to improvise a little. This was the end result... I love doing these tutorials.  I put aside time for me on a Saturday morning and just get lost in the moment...all worries are forgotten for an hour or so.  I would highly recommend it.

Chocolate Somethings

Friday again and Half Term has started! The boys finished school yesterday so hopefully, we've got a fun day together! The challenge on Stamp Something this week is chocolate - everybody's favourite! and there's one stamp I turn to when that word is mentioned. I've followed the sketch on Mojo Monday for this card. The image is from Penny Black and has been coloured with Promarkers. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling and papers are Doodlebug. Matted the image onto some c.s. which has been run through the Cuttlebug and threaded some ribbon through using SU slot punch. Finally added a brad from my stash . A big thank you to Jose for helping me with my images......love the way some of you girls have been putting a sneak peek at the top of your posts and Jose was nice enough (and clever enough) to explain how to do it. Hope you all have a great weekend.
