Catching Up

Sorry I haven't been around lately....been busy sorting out some PIFs I have to send off so to all the ladies involved, sorry for the delay but I will be posting them tomorrow - all being well! I'll show you what I made when the people involved have received them.

Got a few things to cover in this post, the first being I have been tagged by Jo so here goes!

WHAT WERE YOU DOING TEN YEARS AGO?
I was adjusting to the fact that I'd become a new Mum and what a shock that was. Lewis was about three months old so things had started to improve by then!

WHAT WERE YOU DOING ONE YEAR AGO?
Also making adjustments but this time getting used to being a 'single Mum' cause Tony had just left to work in Australia and I was (and still am!) left looking after the two kids. Must admit, it's been VERY tough and my hat goes off to all you girls who do this every day AND have a job!

NAME YOUR FIVE FAVOURITE SNACKS
None!!! That's 'cause I'm on a VERY strick diet at the moment and am going great guns on it. I'm at last shifting all that baby weight from ten years ago LOL! Must admit though cheese on toast is still a firm favourite of mine :)

NAME FIVE THINGS YOU WOULD DO IF YOU WERE A MILLIONAIRE
Spend! Spend! Spend! Spend! Spend! Of course I would do all the obvious things like pay off the mortgage, make sure my family were OK financially and help out charities but crikey would I go on a shopping spree!

NAME FIVE THINGS YOU LIKE DOING

Shopping, talking, crafting, sleeping and having a massage!

NAME FIVE THINGS YOU WOULD NEVER WEAR AGAIN
Ra Ra Skirt, footless tights, socks with individual toes (do you know the ones I mean? OMG they were sooooo uncomfortable!), popsocks and hot pants!

NAME YOUR FIVE FAVOURITE TOYS
Can only name two for this one......my laptop and my rubber stamps.....don't have time to play with anything else.

Now I have to tag five people but I'm going to go for four.......Denise Fran Leann and Tara.

Now that's over, have a couple of things to share with you. I won some blog candy from Michelle

Look at all those brads!! I love brads and will make good use of them Michelle!

I also received this gorgeous card from Claudia

She also sent me a set of stands which the card is resting on and some other goodies so thank you very much Claudia.

Had quite alot of stash arrive this week and I'm dying to use it so hoping to start on something this evening. Have just got to serve up the kids' tea and then I'll be back with news of another PIF. See you then.

My Surprise For Tony!!

As promised, I'm back to let you in on my surprise for Tony tomorrow! Don't know where to start with this but maybe a little personal history first. When I married Tony in 1996 I was a UK size 14. I've always had to watch my weight and never been naturally thin but was never vastly overweight either. In March 1997 I fell pregnant with Lewis and that's when the trouble started.....the weight piled on and after he was born as well because I wasn't eating properly and just grabbing food out of the fridge when I had a spare five minutes.....oh, the joys of being a new Mum! Then I got pregnant again with Sam and even though I didn't gain much more weight during pregnancy, I made up for it afterwards! Am I boring you yet! It took me ten years and many failed diets to finally get serious about losing weight so I started my diet in January this year and this is the evidence....... please do not show the first photo to small children or animals as it may scare them !!!!!...
