A Card for Grandma

Another chilly morning today although we have seen a little glimpse of sun, but not for long. Very peaceful in my house this morning - the boys have gone to Sunday School and then they have their nativity practice so I've got another hour before I pick them up! This will be another quick posting as it's Grandma's birthday today (my mother-in-law) so when I've picked the boys up, we have to have a quick lunch and then off to see the birthday girl(!), so thought I'd post the card I made for the boys to give her.

It's Penny Black's sweet little elephant and I've coloured it using Brushables and added a little glitter to the daisies. It's mounted on pink Bazzill c.s. with foam pads and has some East of India ribbon, a prima flower and a Dovecraft brad attached to it. I can't remember what make the grey paper is on the card as I've had it for ages!

Hope to be able to share something else very soon but because it's a little pressie for a friend of mine who reads my blog (yes, you know who you are!!), I won't be able to put the photo on for a little while! Hope you all have a relaxing Sunday.

Week 2 of Techniques

It’s the second week of Tando’s FB Live and the tutorial was by Jane Royston. This week the colours are more my style. I didn’t have the exact supplies so had to improvise a little. This was the end result... I love doing these tutorials.  I put aside time for me on a Saturday morning and just get lost in the moment...all worries are forgotten for an hour or so.  I would highly recommend it.

Chocolate Somethings

Friday again and Half Term has started! The boys finished school yesterday so hopefully, we've got a fun day together! The challenge on Stamp Something this week is chocolate - everybody's favourite! and there's one stamp I turn to when that word is mentioned. I've followed the sketch on Mojo Monday for this card. The image is from Penny Black and has been coloured with Promarkers. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling and papers are Doodlebug. Matted the image onto some c.s. which has been run through the Cuttlebug and threaded some ribbon through using SU slot punch. Finally added a brad from my stash . A big thank you to Jose for helping me with my images......love the way some of you girls have been putting a sneak peek at the top of your posts and Jose was nice enough (and clever enough) to explain how to do it. Hope you all have a great weekend.
