I'm So Lucky........

.........to have such kind friends! As you're probably aware, I'm going through a particularly difficult time in my life right now but the one good thing to come out of it is that I'm realising that it's not the amount of money or material things I have which makes me happy but all the little things like when my boys tell me "I love you Mummy", or when Sam tells me he thinks I'm beautiful like Rosalina from Mario Karts!(BIG compliment!). It's also knowing I've got such good friends who are always there to listen to me moan and cry and receiving little gifts to let me know they're thinking of me.

I received this gorgeous card and stamp from Denise........

How generous was that! Not only has she made a beautiful card with one of my favourite Tildas but she also sent me one of the Whimsy stamps. It's so nice to get some new rubber when, like so many people, funds are really tight at the moment and I could never justify buying any new crafting stash. Thank you Denise....I really appreciate your thoughtfulness and generousity.

This morning I had another lovely surprise - I received these in the post .......

This RAK was from my good pal Jilli. She made them herself......how clever is she! They're fabulous Jilli and I will definitely make good use of them. MWAH to you! and I'm glad you're my buddy too!

I'm proud to say I passed the third part of my ECDL course on Monday, in record time I might add (blow your own trumpet, why don't you!!) I've now started the final course ECDL 2 so hopefully, when that's complete I should be able to return to work.

Must get on and cook the boys' tea now......hope to have something creative to show by the end of the week.

It's Blog Candy Time!

I'VE EDITED THIS MESSAGE SO (HOPEFULLY!) IT WILL REMAIN AT THE TOP OF MY BLOG UNTIL THE COMPETITION IS OVER. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR NEWER POSTS! WILL ALSO BE ADDING PHOTOS OF ENTRIES AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST FOR PEOPLE WHO DO NOT HAVE A BLOG. As promised, it's blog candy time. There are three reasons for me doing this. (1) My counter has passed 16,000 hits - wow! can't believe that! and I would like to say thank you to everyone who visits my blog.....would never have dreamed I would have so many visitors since I began blogging at the beginning of December last year! (2) It's my birthday in just over a week and (3) had some fantastic news - Tony (my husband) is coming home for good!! For those of you who don't know, Tony has been working in Australia for the past 15 months and we have only seen him twice in that time.....the last time being at the beginning of October last year! He should be home within a matter of weeks - he's given me the date of 10 June but

Happy Blogoversary To Me!!

THIS IS NOW CLOSED........WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER TODAY! ***** THIS POSTING WILL REMAIN AT THE TOP UNTIL 09 DECEMBER. FOR NEWER POSTS, PLEASE SEE BELOW ***** I just can't believe it's a year ago that I started up my blog and thought I was sat there talking to myself!!! and I am so thankful for all the wonderful people and friends I have made over the past year - you're such a great bunch of girls!! So, as promised, have got some candy to share with you all. This includes a Lippy Chick Flip Book for altering, High Hopes stamps, Cricketer stamp, alphabet stamps, ribbons, flowers, brads and embellishment kit (all from Poppicrafts). All you have to do to help me celebrate is leave a comment and mention my blog candy on your blog and that's it!! I will draw a winner next Tuesday 09 December and in the meantime, will leave this posting at the top of my blog. Oh, and by the way, this is open to everyone as I will post internationally. Hope you all have a great day!

Fancy a Magnolia?

Firstly, I'd like to say thank you to everyone who has visited my blog over the last six weeks. It's amazing, I really didn't think I would get so many hits when I started out. It really is appreciated. Now to the blog candy......I've thought long and hard about this and decided to do something a little bit different. The reason being, I think even though we enjoy making cards, we're all so busy with birthdays, challenges, and everyday life, so I thought I'd make it simple. I admit to being a bit(?) of a nosey old moo!! so what I would like you to do is send a link to a photo of your craft space. Don't worry how tidy(?)/untidy, small, big, whatever, your space is. Could be a room (I'd kill for one!), a corner of a room (like mine!), a dining room table. It doesn't matter, just add a comment with a link to your blog and if you haven't got a blog, then e-mail me a photo (my e-mail link is in my Profile). Just to get you started, here's my space
