Favourite Somethings

The challenge on Stamp Something this week is "favourites". This could be your favourite stamp, theme, papers, etc., so I chose to use my favourite layout. When I'm stuck on a card I always tend to revert to this layout as I love its simplicity.

I was asked by a friend if I could make an engagement card for her so thought I would combine it with this week's challenge. The image is Fluffles in Love from Stampendous and I've coloured it with PM's and used my Sakura glitter pen on the bows. Added a Woodware sentiment just below the image and doodled around the edges to create a border. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling but I'm afraid I don't know the make of the DP - I've had it for ages. Matted the top layer with foam pads and used SU slot punch to attach the ribbon from my stash. Used the Fiskars border punch on the bottom of the DP and the SU corner rounder. Finally, added some Prima flowers and some Papermania sticky hearts to the centres.

Back to normal today - both schools were closed yesterday so the boys were home, however, the snow has gone today so it's business as usual! Have a great weekend!

Week 2 of Techniques

It’s the second week of Tando’s FB Live and the tutorial was by Jane Royston. This week the colours are more my style. I didn’t have the exact supplies so had to improvise a little. This was the end result... I love doing these tutorials.  I put aside time for me on a Saturday morning and just get lost in the moment...all worries are forgotten for an hour or so.  I would highly recommend it.

Chocolate Somethings

Friday again and Half Term has started! The boys finished school yesterday so hopefully, we've got a fun day together! The challenge on Stamp Something this week is chocolate - everybody's favourite! and there's one stamp I turn to when that word is mentioned. I've followed the sketch on Mojo Monday for this card. The image is from Penny Black and has been coloured with Promarkers. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling and papers are Doodlebug. Matted the image onto some c.s. which has been run through the Cuttlebug and threaded some ribbon through using SU slot punch. Finally added a brad from my stash . A big thank you to Jose for helping me with my images......love the way some of you girls have been putting a sneak peek at the top of your posts and Jose was nice enough (and clever enough) to explain how to do it. Hope you all have a great weekend.
