Finley's Birthday Card

Promised to show you the card I made for Finley which I'd also put forward for the High Hopes Guest DT spot, however, it didn't work its magic {big tear}........never mind, better luck next time! However, did have some good news - I won the prize on Friday Sketchers! I'm such a dozey old mare - I visited the blog to check out the sketch for this week and didn't even notice my name in the posting!!

Well, here's the card which I actually quite like (and so did Finley by the way!). I just adore these dragons from High Hopes and think the Basic Grey Archaic papers go perfectly with them. Distressed some of the edges and used my sewing machine for the stitching. Rounded the corners and added some jumbo eyelets from SU and some grosgrain ribbon from my stash. The metal clip is also something I've had for ages - it might be Making Memories but not entirely sure about that.

Week 2 of Techniques

It’s the second week of Tando’s FB Live and the tutorial was by Jane Royston. This week the colours are more my style. I didn’t have the exact supplies so had to improvise a little. This was the end result... I love doing these tutorials.  I put aside time for me on a Saturday morning and just get lost in the moment...all worries are forgotten for an hour or so.  I would highly recommend it.

Chocolate Somethings

Friday again and Half Term has started! The boys finished school yesterday so hopefully, we've got a fun day together! The challenge on Stamp Something this week is chocolate - everybody's favourite! and there's one stamp I turn to when that word is mentioned. I've followed the sketch on Mojo Monday for this card. The image is from Penny Black and has been coloured with Promarkers. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling and papers are Doodlebug. Matted the image onto some c.s. which has been run through the Cuttlebug and threaded some ribbon through using SU slot punch. Finally added a brad from my stash . A big thank you to Jose for helping me with my images......love the way some of you girls have been putting a sneak peek at the top of your posts and Jose was nice enough (and clever enough) to explain how to do it. Hope you all have a great weekend.
