Happy Birthday Sheila!

It's my MIL 80th birthday today, so thought I would show the card and present I made for her.

....and now for the present - I bought this K & Co kit a few months back and was wondering when I was going to use it! Thought the florals made it ideal for a "more mature" woman!! I just added photos of the boys with the embellishments provided in the kit and it took me an hour to put together. The photos of the boys are a mixture of ones taken over the years. (Just in case you can't tell, it's a desk calendar!)

Blimey, think I need a lie down after loading all those!!! Sam is home again today - managed to get him an appointment with the Doctor at 7.00 pm last night (!) and he's got an ear infection so he's now on antibiotics. Hopefully, I should get him back to school on Thursday all being well.

Week 2 of Techniques

It’s the second week of Tando’s FB Live and the tutorial was by Jane Royston. This week the colours are more my style. I didn’t have the exact supplies so had to improvise a little. This was the end result... I love doing these tutorials.  I put aside time for me on a Saturday morning and just get lost in the moment...all worries are forgotten for an hour or so.  I would highly recommend it.

Chocolate Somethings

Friday again and Half Term has started! The boys finished school yesterday so hopefully, we've got a fun day together! The challenge on Stamp Something this week is chocolate - everybody's favourite! and there's one stamp I turn to when that word is mentioned. I've followed the sketch on Mojo Monday for this card. The image is from Penny Black and has been coloured with Promarkers. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling and papers are Doodlebug. Matted the image onto some c.s. which has been run through the Cuttlebug and threaded some ribbon through using SU slot punch. Finally added a brad from my stash . A big thank you to Jose for helping me with my images......love the way some of you girls have been putting a sneak peek at the top of your posts and Jose was nice enough (and clever enough) to explain how to do it. Hope you all have a great weekend.
