Two Awards, A RAK and A Box!!

Still busy with buckets of water!!! My Brother is here at the moment trying to sort out a temporary measure but is struggling so it looks like we're going to have to put up with it until the Plumber can fit us in!! When I was catching up on my blogging last night, I visited Andrea's blog and she has made a card which is so apt for me at the moment.....it really did make me giggle, so please take a look and tell me what you think!!!
I received some lovely post yesterday from Sue who kindly stamped me some images and look at the gorgeous folder she made to put them in. It's beautiful Sue and thanks so much!

I also received two more awards!! This one is from Fran and was awarded to the Tilda and Friends Forum and I've been informed that as I'm a Member, I'm entitled to it!!!

The second award is from Zoe......

.....thank you so much girls. Makes no difference to me if I've received the award before, because I always feel touched that people consider me when handing the awards out!

The PTW challenge this week is a box tutorial by Claudia. I know I'm late again completing another challenge as the new one will be set tomorrow but thought I would have a quick go while the boys were out this morning. To be honest, I'm not happy with the finished article as I think it's too plain but at least it will do the job!!!

The actual box was really quite simple to make and looking at it now, I wish I'd used patterned card, however, couldn't find two of any pattern which tells me I should do a bit of shopping!!! I've used Bazzill c.s. in a turqoise and lime green and used my Cricut to cut out the flowers. The letters are stickers from Sue Dreamer. Brads are from my stash and ric rac ribbon is from Doodlebug. Did get a bit adventurous and made some dividers for the inside and used my SU punch to make the tabs. Fixed these onto the dividers with eyelets from my stash. Anyway, it serves a purpose because I have received loads of lovely images from all you kind girlies out there so I can now sort them and know exactly what I've got!! I can even fit Sue's image folder in the box as well!!

Time to stop now for lunch......hope you all have a good Sunday!!

Sorry to hear that there's still trouble with the plumbing...too true about Andrea's card. That gave me a giggle too! Hope the plumber rescues you soon. :)

Love the box! What a neat idea too. I need to find a way to store all my images and that looks perfect! Love the colors, a great display piece too. Great job with the challenge. :)

It's Blog Candy Time!

I'VE EDITED THIS MESSAGE SO (HOPEFULLY!) IT WILL REMAIN AT THE TOP OF MY BLOG UNTIL THE COMPETITION IS OVER. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR NEWER POSTS! WILL ALSO BE ADDING PHOTOS OF ENTRIES AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST FOR PEOPLE WHO DO NOT HAVE A BLOG. As promised, it's blog candy time. There are three reasons for me doing this. (1) My counter has passed 16,000 hits - wow! can't believe that! and I would like to say thank you to everyone who visits my blog.....would never have dreamed I would have so many visitors since I began blogging at the beginning of December last year! (2) It's my birthday in just over a week and (3) had some fantastic news - Tony (my husband) is coming home for good!! For those of you who don't know, Tony has been working in Australia for the past 15 months and we have only seen him twice in that time.....the last time being at the beginning of October last year! He should be home within a matter of weeks - he's given me the date of 10 June but

Fancy a Magnolia?

Firstly, I'd like to say thank you to everyone who has visited my blog over the last six weeks. It's amazing, I really didn't think I would get so many hits when I started out. It really is appreciated. Now to the blog candy......I've thought long and hard about this and decided to do something a little bit different. The reason being, I think even though we enjoy making cards, we're all so busy with birthdays, challenges, and everyday life, so I thought I'd make it simple. I admit to being a bit(?) of a nosey old moo!! so what I would like you to do is send a link to a photo of your craft space. Don't worry how tidy(?)/untidy, small, big, whatever, your space is. Could be a room (I'd kill for one!), a corner of a room (like mine!), a dining room table. It doesn't matter, just add a comment with a link to your blog and if you haven't got a blog, then e-mail me a photo (my e-mail link is in my Profile). Just to get you started, here's my space

A Quick Magnolia!

This is going to be a very quick posting as I've been suffering from toothache on and off since Friday evening and it is now unbearable. I do have an appointment with the Dentist tomorrow so if I can just get through tonight I'll be OK! Don't really feel like listing all the details for this one, so if you have any questions, just ask.
