Planes, Trains & Automobiles

As promised, I'm back with some cards to show you. It's a busy day for me today so this may seem a bit rushed!
The challenge on CCT this week is......
"Planes, trains and automobiles...but of course, we wouldn't restrict you to just those vehicles, absolutely any mode of transport is allowed!....."
I think I may have got a bit carried away with this challenge as I've done three cards! I probably would have done more but time caught up with me. Anyway, when I looked at the finished cards, I realised I've made them in my favourite colours - red and teal/turquoise!! It wasn't intentional....it's just funny how I'm drawn to those colours. I must admit, it was a bit weird making Christmas cards in April.....must have been the snow at the weekend getting me in the mood!!

For this card, I used Pink Petticoat designs printed onto lightweight c.s., with the plain piece embossed with the Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder. The image is Christmas Ride by Penny Black, coloured with Brushables with glamour dust added to Santa's beard, moustache and hat (doesn't show too well). The image was layered onto PP card and mirricard. Sentiment is computer generated, grosgrain ribbon is from Dovecraft, sticky gems are from Papermania and holly 3D sticker is also Papermania.

This card was made with Doodlebug c.s. and K & Co paper. The stamp is Snowboard Fluffles from Stampendous coloured with Sakura Souffle pen and glamour dust added to the spots on his snowboard, snowflakes and the bobble on his hat. Doodlebug rub-on stitches were used along with Doodlebug ric rac ribbon. The sentiment is computer generated and the snowflake brad is from my stash.

This card is a combination of the two colours. Wasn't sure about this one at first, but the more I look at it, the more I like it! Cardstock is Doodlebug/Bazzill with the small panel run through the Cuttlebug with the Spots and Dots embossing folder. Paper, or rather c.s. as it's quite thick, is from Sassafraslass. Image is courtesy of Jilli which I received in a PIF and I have coloured it with Sakura Souffle, Marvy and used some Sakura glaze over the red for a shine. The sentiment "Tres Chic" is from See D's. Flower is from Little Silver Hat and brads are from Michelle at The Card Grotto. (For some reason my links aren't working, sorry girls).

Must rush now as I'm due out in half an hour and nowhere near ready!!

My Surprise For Tony!!

As promised, I'm back to let you in on my surprise for Tony tomorrow! Don't know where to start with this but maybe a little personal history first. When I married Tony in 1996 I was a UK size 14. I've always had to watch my weight and never been naturally thin but was never vastly overweight either. In March 1997 I fell pregnant with Lewis and that's when the trouble started.....the weight piled on and after he was born as well because I wasn't eating properly and just grabbing food out of the fridge when I had a spare five minutes.....oh, the joys of being a new Mum! Then I got pregnant again with Sam and even though I didn't gain much more weight during pregnancy, I made up for it afterwards! Am I boring you yet! It took me ten years and many failed diets to finally get serious about losing weight so I started my diet in January this year and this is the evidence....... please do not show the first photo to small children or animals as it may scare them !!!!!...
