Girls Just Wanna Have Fun & Katharina's Sketch #2

Really on a roll at the moment....it's amazing what the sound of flushing can do to your mojo!! As I explained earlier, Sam is off school today and he's such a good boy that he let's me get on with what I have to do and quite happily plays so managed to complete the PTW challenge this morning and when I had finished it, noticed that it fitted in nicely with the CCT challenge this week. I don't often complete more than one challenge with one card so was very pleased with myself!

The PTW challenge this week is another fabulous sketch by Katharina.....

....and the challenge on CCT is to make a card for the girlies, so this is what I came up with.....

I've used another of my new Whipper Snapper stamps for this one and this cute little mouse has been coloured with Prismas and Sansodor with some Glamour Dust added to the flowers. Can you guess I'm really lovin' these Blonde Moments Sugar Dumpling papers at the moment (!) and I just love the effect the mirricard has on the pinks and lilacs by lifting them. The sentiment is Woodware and the circle and scallop circle have been cut with my new(!) Nestabilities (blame this purchase totally on you Vanessa!!). Sticky gems are from Papermania.

I'd like to say a big Thank You to Sammy....he's been a little angel today and I only had to bribe him with two new Mr Men books....bless him!!

What a wonderful card! One question, though. How do you use your silver mirricard stuff? You can't possibly back all those parts with a solid piece of silver, or you would go bankrupt on one card! lol.
Jo said…
I do use solid mirricard behind each layer.....got a job lot on offer at Craft Central, although beginning to run low now!!

My Surprise For Tony!!

As promised, I'm back to let you in on my surprise for Tony tomorrow! Don't know where to start with this but maybe a little personal history first. When I married Tony in 1996 I was a UK size 14. I've always had to watch my weight and never been naturally thin but was never vastly overweight either. In March 1997 I fell pregnant with Lewis and that's when the trouble started.....the weight piled on and after he was born as well because I wasn't eating properly and just grabbing food out of the fridge when I had a spare five minutes.....oh, the joys of being a new Mum! Then I got pregnant again with Sam and even though I didn't gain much more weight during pregnancy, I made up for it afterwards! Am I boring you yet! It took me ten years and many failed diets to finally get serious about losing weight so I started my diet in January this year and this is the evidence....... please do not show the first photo to small children or animals as it may scare them !!!!!...
