"Easily Distracted"

I don't know if any of you are like me......you start out with all the best intentions but then get distracted and end up doing something totally different. Well this happened on Tuesday....I'd been to Craft Central a few days before and bought some small craft storage and then went into my room yesterday with the intention of sorting my card into colour order because it's got a bit messy lately and also putting my brads into some sort of colour order. I also have a big box of stuff that I needed to find a home for. So, I start sorting through and whilst going through one storage box, find a Sara File and all the paper inserts. Well, needless to say, that's where all the sorting and storing stopped!!! I've had the Sara File for three years approx and done nothing with it when it goes through my head "I've got the perfect paper for that"! So this is what I ended up making....

This is the side view.......

.......the oversized paperclip......

and finally the inside....

I will need to cover the dividers etc., inside the filofax but I'll probably leave that for another three years!!

I started by painting the folder with red acrylic paint, inside and out and then added the Noteworthy paper from Making Memories (a personal favourite of mine). I then glazed the whole lot. I used Bazzill c.s. for the inside of the covers which I had embossed with the Cuttlebug Stylized Flowers embossing folder. I painted and glazed the "Jo" and then added some tiny flowers from Sir Stampalot and some small red brads from my stash. Not sure where the large red flower originated from but the smaller blue one is also from Sir Stampalot and I think the brad may be from Making Memories. The large paperclip I've had for quite a while and sorry, but can't remember where this came from either.....hopeless aren't I!!!

Planning on keeping this on my craft desk to use for crafting info such as names, addresses, web pages, etc., and intend to use the paperclip inside the folder but thought it showed it off better put on the front cover.

My Surprise For Tony!!

As promised, I'm back to let you in on my surprise for Tony tomorrow! Don't know where to start with this but maybe a little personal history first. When I married Tony in 1996 I was a UK size 14. I've always had to watch my weight and never been naturally thin but was never vastly overweight either. In March 1997 I fell pregnant with Lewis and that's when the trouble started.....the weight piled on and after he was born as well because I wasn't eating properly and just grabbing food out of the fridge when I had a spare five minutes.....oh, the joys of being a new Mum! Then I got pregnant again with Sam and even though I didn't gain much more weight during pregnancy, I made up for it afterwards! Am I boring you yet! It took me ten years and many failed diets to finally get serious about losing weight so I started my diet in January this year and this is the evidence....... please do not show the first photo to small children or animals as it may scare them !!!!!...
