Darlin' Duckie!

A better day today....the sun is out and my headache is gone so I'm trying to catch up on all my jobs both boring everyday ones and crafting ones! I made this card a few days ago using one of my new Whipper Snapper stamps and thought I would have a go at the My Paperworld sketch challenge at the same time. This is the sketch......

and this is my card......

I do love Whipper Snapper stamps and am just building up my collection a bit more! The cute little chap has been coloured with Prismas and Sansodor (before I spilled the whole bottle!) and I've added some Glamour Dust to the flowers for a little bit of sparkle. The sentiment is from the Just Hatched set from Papertrey Ink. Paper is the Flower Retro from Papermania and Doodlebug, cardstock is from Bazzill as are the flowers and the sticky gems are Papermania.

The Plumber is calling later and I am keeping my fingers crossed that the part he has got is going to work, otherwise it is going to be VERY expensive. For some reason, and I didn't know it when it was fitted, I seem to have a "one off" kind of a toilet which is the reason why it is so difficult to locate the parts!! Off to tidy up the house now and then I hope to finally get around to catching up on my blogging.

oh my word thats so cute! wtg!

and did you know theres a new 'law' that says when you've had a nasty headache you need a full day to recover and the only way to do that is to craft and NOT to do housework, housework fights the crafting mojo ya see and so you can't recover properly :) pmsl.

glad you're feeling better, take care xx

he's cute. I'm paranoid about spilling sansodor so I pour small amounts into shallow pot so I can't knock it over now (used to have varnish remover pads in it which I washed out) x

My Surprise For Tony!!

As promised, I'm back to let you in on my surprise for Tony tomorrow! Don't know where to start with this but maybe a little personal history first. When I married Tony in 1996 I was a UK size 14. I've always had to watch my weight and never been naturally thin but was never vastly overweight either. In March 1997 I fell pregnant with Lewis and that's when the trouble started.....the weight piled on and after he was born as well because I wasn't eating properly and just grabbing food out of the fridge when I had a spare five minutes.....oh, the joys of being a new Mum! Then I got pregnant again with Sam and even though I didn't gain much more weight during pregnancy, I made up for it afterwards! Am I boring you yet! It took me ten years and many failed diets to finally get serious about losing weight so I started my diet in January this year and this is the evidence....... please do not show the first photo to small children or animals as it may scare them !!!!!...
