Sam's Birthday Part II

Morning all! Gorgeous hot sunny day in Weymouth, so it looks like our Summer is on its way!

Thought I would show you the birthday card I made for Sam. This card is the design of Dawn of All Pink Girl and I must thank her for all the help she gave me to make this. You're a lovely lady Dawnie and so kind and generous!! Most people tend to case a card they like but I have to put my hands up and say I have blatantly copied this one......but with Dawn's permission!!!!

All the images are Pink Cat Studio and the papers are Pink Petticoat. Cardstock is Bazzill. When I saw this card on Dawn's blog, I just knew I had to make it for Sam and he loved it!!

Well, Sam's party at Monkey World yesterday was brilliant! The weather was gorgeous, but not too hot but the best part was, when we arrived at 2.00 pm, the car park was packed but we had decided to take the kids in and let them eat first, which we did, and by the time they had finished their meal, most people had started to go home so we near enough had the park to ourselves. It just made things alot more relaxed. There also seemed to be alot more monkeys this year which was really good. We're lucky enough to live very close to Monkey World so tend to visit it as often as we can afford but I am tempted to buy the season ticket now as the kids absolutely love it!

Just had to show you this photo of the baby orang-utan and its mummy. The baby had just learned to do roly polys and at one point went up to his mummy and gave her a kiss and I just about caught it on camera!!

.....and look at all the little monkeys I ended up taking home with me!!

The kids are full of energy again today but I'm absolutely knackered so am planning to sit out in the garden later on and maybe have a quick forty winks!!!

Hope you all have a good Sunday and that the sun is shining where you are!

Fabulous fabulous card. Ages since I went to Monkey World as it is miles and miles away from me but I do remember it being great.

The monkeys you took home with you look a bit scary - perhaps you should have left one or two of them there.
lol

My Surprise For Tony!!

As promised, I'm back to let you in on my surprise for Tony tomorrow! Don't know where to start with this but maybe a little personal history first. When I married Tony in 1996 I was a UK size 14. I've always had to watch my weight and never been naturally thin but was never vastly overweight either. In March 1997 I fell pregnant with Lewis and that's when the trouble started.....the weight piled on and after he was born as well because I wasn't eating properly and just grabbing food out of the fridge when I had a spare five minutes.....oh, the joys of being a new Mum! Then I got pregnant again with Sam and even though I didn't gain much more weight during pregnancy, I made up for it afterwards! Am I boring you yet! It took me ten years and many failed diets to finally get serious about losing weight so I started my diet in January this year and this is the evidence....... please do not show the first photo to small children or animals as it may scare them !!!!!
