First Somethings

Well the day has finally arrived.....it's the first challenge on Stamp Something and it's really quite exciting for me as this is my first go as a DT Member.....hope I don't disappoint! The theme this week is "Firsts" and decided on baby cards.....I'm a sucker for them and I find that if I make one for a girl, I just have to make another on a boy theme so here are my contributions.....

This is another first for me.....my first buckle card! The stamp is Baby Tingla from Magnolia, coloured with Prismas and Sansodor with Glamour Dust added to her wings. She was then cut out and fixed onto the buckle. Papers are from the Sugar Dumpling collection at Blonde Moments layered with mirricard and Bazzill c.s. Sugar and Spice sentiment is computer generated and layered onto same c.s. with some doodling, flower is from W.H. Smith with pearl brad from Papermania.

My second card was to show a clean and simple layout. I got the idea for this card from my friend Jose who doesn't have a blog even though I keep nagging her to start one!! The image is from Elzybells and his nappy has been coloured with Brushables and he has been layered onto Bazzill c.s. using the small rectangle Nestabilities set. The sentiment is part of the Just Hatched set from Papertrey Ink. Background has been made using the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder and more blue Bazzill c.s. Grosgrain ribbon is Dovecraft, flower is from Sir Stampalot and brad is Papermania.

Well, my baby is six today....I just can't believe it!.....where has the time gone?! so have got plenty to organise before he gets home from school....yes, it's the big reveal of his bedroom and I can't wait to see his reaction!!

Week 2 of Techniques

It’s the second week of Tando’s FB Live and the tutorial was by Jane Royston. This week the colours are more my style. I didn’t have the exact supplies so had to improvise a little. This was the end result... I love doing these tutorials.  I put aside time for me on a Saturday morning and just get lost in the moment...all worries are forgotten for an hour or so.  I would highly recommend it.

Chocolate Somethings

Friday again and Half Term has started! The boys finished school yesterday so hopefully, we've got a fun day together! The challenge on Stamp Something this week is chocolate - everybody's favourite! and there's one stamp I turn to when that word is mentioned. I've followed the sketch on Mojo Monday for this card. The image is from Penny Black and has been coloured with Promarkers. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling and papers are Doodlebug. Matted the image onto some c.s. which has been run through the Cuttlebug and threaded some ribbon through using SU slot punch. Finally added a brad from my stash . A big thank you to Jose for helping me with my images......love the way some of you girls have been putting a sneak peek at the top of your posts and Jose was nice enough (and clever enough) to explain how to do it. Hope you all have a great weekend.
