Cat in a Hammock Pt II, An Award, Lots of Blog Candy and the Missing Card!!

Had a lovely relaxing morning......I actually had a lie in for the first time in over a year and it was heaven!! The sun is out this morning after all the rain we had yesterday but it's very windy, however, should be OK for Sam's School Fete this afternoon.

I mentioned last week that when I make a card, I am trying to do a second one using the same stamp and papers so thought I would show the card I had made when I did the Stamp Something challenge. This one doesn't have so much bling on it......just some glitter and mirricard and must admit, I like this one better.

The image is Penny Black, coloured in the same way - Brushables and plenty of glitter, layered onto mirricard and Pink Petticoat papers. Sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly, flower is Prima Sprite and sticky gems are from Papermania.

My blogging buddy Jackie, has also given me this award....

.....wow, can't believe it as that's the sixth time I have been awarded this.....what an honour and thanks so much Jackie for thinking of me!!

As you will see by some of my previous posts, there is some wonderful blog candy up for grabs at the moment and I've got four more for you! Steph is celebrating 20,000 hits on her blog, Kari is celebrating 5,000 hits, Karen is celebrating starting up her own crafting business and Katharina is celebrating the launch of the new High Hopes stamps. I really recommend visiting these ladies' blogs as their work is outstanding!

Finally, a message to Lewis, Vanessa's youngest, - Sam has at long last, let me have the card you sent him so I could photograph it and here it is!

Isn't it great! and Lewis, your handwriting is fabulous!! Look out Mum....he'll be pinching all your stash!!

Well, that's it for today.......hope you all have a great weekend.

Week 2 of Techniques

It’s the second week of Tando’s FB Live and the tutorial was by Jane Royston. This week the colours are more my style. I didn’t have the exact supplies so had to improvise a little. This was the end result... I love doing these tutorials.  I put aside time for me on a Saturday morning and just get lost in the moment...all worries are forgotten for an hour or so.  I would highly recommend it.

Chocolate Somethings

Friday again and Half Term has started! The boys finished school yesterday so hopefully, we've got a fun day together! The challenge on Stamp Something this week is chocolate - everybody's favourite! and there's one stamp I turn to when that word is mentioned. I've followed the sketch on Mojo Monday for this card. The image is from Penny Black and has been coloured with Promarkers. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling and papers are Doodlebug. Matted the image onto some c.s. which has been run through the Cuttlebug and threaded some ribbon through using SU slot punch. Finally added a brad from my stash . A big thank you to Jose for helping me with my images......love the way some of you girls have been putting a sneak peek at the top of your posts and Jose was nice enough (and clever enough) to explain how to do it. Hope you all have a great weekend.
