AMD Samples - Garden Notes Journal

I love making something other than cards and preparing my samples for Anna Marie's shows was an ideal opportunity, especially when I saw the theme of the paper pads.

Here, I have made a journal using the Eileen Hull Journal die.

I covered the outside and inside with papers from the 12" x 12" pink Garden Blooms pad, then using some leftovers from the same pad, I tore two different designs and layered them down the journal front. I die cut a large flower using scraps of the same paper pad - Anna Marie has since produced her own flower dies found here - inked the edges and added a large pearl to the centre.  I made a loose bow with raffia, added some die cut leaves and wheat and one of the tags and placed the flower on top.

I then printed the sentiment onto vellum and coloured the back of the vellum with an alcohol pen.  I crackled one of the frames which came with the shadowbox using Viva paints and crackle and then glued the vellum to the back of the frame.  I then fixed the frame to the journal with glue gel, finishing off with Iced Crystals.

For the inside, I cut some cheap notebooks to size and covered them with scrap pieces from the paper pad.

I've Been Busy!!!

It's funny what happens to me when I lose my internet connection so I can't do any blogging.........I end up doing some crafting!!!! Well that's what happened yesterday afternoon and evening....my internet connection kept flicking on and off probably due to all the bad weather we experienced. Not quite so windy today but the rain is continuous! I actually finished my Easter Egg bags yesterday whoo hoo!!! Well, I say finished, I've got three more to put together but I have coloured the label and everything but I need to go to Asda and buy some more creme eggs and I'm not going anywhere today because I'm due a parcel delivery....hopefully, my camera! I hope you're ready for these photos....I was just going to put one picture on but thought hey, I had to suffer making them, they should suffer looking at them!!! The photos aren't very good I'm afraid and I'm proud to say that not one chocolate egg was harmed during the making of these bags......in ot...

Week 2 of Techniques

It’s the second week of Tando’s FB Live and the tutorial was by Jane Royston. This week the colours are more my style. I didn’t have the exact supplies so had to improvise a little. This was the end result... I love doing these tutorials.  I put aside time for me on a Saturday morning and just get lost in the moment...all worries are forgotten for an hour or so.  I would highly recommend it.
