AMD Samples - Birdcage Card

Another 8" x 8" card this time using the pink Garden Bloom paper pad.

I layered one sheet of patterned card onto the base card after the normal distressing and inking of the edges.  I then took the birdcage paper and made a tear on the left and gently rolled the paper apart.  More distressing and inking and then layered onto the card.  I fussy cut the birdcage from another sheet and gently curved it to give it dimension and added it on top of the existing image with glue gel.  Decorated the birdcage with some trailing ivy die cuts from green vellum and a couple of small flowers and a small section of pearl string at the top.

I stamped the sentiment onto one of the tags adding a couple of pearls at either end and again gently curved the tag to give it dimension and fixed it to the card with 3D glue gel.  I then added pink wheat, stamens, leaves, die cut flowers, paper flowers and a micro beaded berry to the bottom of the 'tear' in the card.  Glue gel was then added to the flowers and around the card and Crushed Ice sprinkled on top.

Finally, one of the beautiful inserts was added to the inside of the card.

Week 2 of Techniques

It’s the second week of Tando’s FB Live and the tutorial was by Jane Royston. This week the colours are more my style. I didn’t have the exact supplies so had to improvise a little. This was the end result... I love doing these tutorials.  I put aside time for me on a Saturday morning and just get lost in the moment...all worries are forgotten for an hour or so.  I would highly recommend it.

Chocolate Somethings

Friday again and Half Term has started! The boys finished school yesterday so hopefully, we've got a fun day together! The challenge on Stamp Something this week is chocolate - everybody's favourite! and there's one stamp I turn to when that word is mentioned. I've followed the sketch on Mojo Monday for this card. The image is from Penny Black and has been coloured with Promarkers. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling and papers are Doodlebug. Matted the image onto some c.s. which has been run through the Cuttlebug and threaded some ribbon through using SU slot punch. Finally added a brad from my stash . A big thank you to Jose for helping me with my images......love the way some of you girls have been putting a sneak peek at the top of your posts and Jose was nice enough (and clever enough) to explain how to do it. Hope you all have a great weekend.
