AMD Samples - Blue Birdcage

Nearly at the end of the samples now and this is the final card I have to show.

I've used a scalloped card and layered it with blue double glitz cardstock (rounded at the bottom).  I took a piece of the blue Garden Blooms paper pad and tore it at the bottom right hand corner, gently rolling it apart and then inking the edges.  I took a scrap of contrasting paper from the pad and glued it behind.  I then layered this onto the card.  I fussy cut the birdcage out of another sheet of paper, shaped it gently and then added it over the original image with glue gel.

Again, using scraps from the paper pad, I die cut some flowers and made an arrangement in the bottom left hand corner with die cut leaves, berries and some smaller flowers I had in my stash.  As usual, I added glue gel thinly to the card and covered with Ice Crystals.

Finally, I cut down one of the beautiful inserts and layered it onto the same blue double glitz card and fixed it inside the card.

Week 2 of Techniques

It’s the second week of Tando’s FB Live and the tutorial was by Jane Royston. This week the colours are more my style. I didn’t have the exact supplies so had to improvise a little. This was the end result... I love doing these tutorials.  I put aside time for me on a Saturday morning and just get lost in the moment...all worries are forgotten for an hour or so.  I would highly recommend it.

Chocolate Somethings

Friday again and Half Term has started! The boys finished school yesterday so hopefully, we've got a fun day together! The challenge on Stamp Something this week is chocolate - everybody's favourite! and there's one stamp I turn to when that word is mentioned. I've followed the sketch on Mojo Monday for this card. The image is from Penny Black and has been coloured with Promarkers. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling and papers are Doodlebug. Matted the image onto some c.s. which has been run through the Cuttlebug and threaded some ribbon through using SU slot punch. Finally added a brad from my stash . A big thank you to Jose for helping me with my images......love the way some of you girls have been putting a sneak peek at the top of your posts and Jose was nice enough (and clever enough) to explain how to do it. Hope you all have a great weekend.
