The Sweetest Thing!

The challenge on Stamp Something this week is to make something "sweet" so got one of my favourite PB stamps out which I thought would be ideal for this.

Do you recognise the paper? lol!! If I'm making anything remotely connected to chocolate, I just have to use these papers!! Image is PB Sweet Slumber which has been coloured with Promarkers and the Woodware sentiment has been stamped underneath. DP is Doodlebug and c.s. is Bazzill Bling. Used my Quickutz Flourish die for the swirl and added some pink Papermania sticky gems. Ribbon is from my stash and has been attached to main image with SU slot punch and also used corner rounder from SU.

Do you remember I said I'd been busy making Teachers' cards and gifts, well here's a little something which I decorated yesterday in the same papers. Used my SU corner rounder on the edge of the paper to make the scallops. Sentiment card is from Craftwork Cards as are the Chocolate Drops. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling - an ideal way to use up those scraps of card and papers and makes an ordinary bar of chocolate look quite special! Realised when I'd made this that I had plenty for all the Teachers already, so this was a present to myself and has now been demolished!!! Yum Yum!!

Lewis's sports day took place in the end - in fact the weather really brightened up and it was beautiful and sunny!! Lewis got second place in the hurdles, however, it was a sports day to remember in the worse possible way - three ambulances (one girl dislocated her knee in the hurdles, another girl kept collapsing and one Mother was doubled-up with stomach pains) and one police car to break up a fight in the car park between two Mothers!!! Can you believe it! Makes you wonder who are the children and who are the grown ups!!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Gorgeous card and great idea for the chocolate bar Jo. Love those papers. Sorry I haven't been around much, i have been so busy with placement. Hope you are well x
The large delicate piece behind the card with some jewels on it--how do you make that--is it from a die cut? The card is just beautiful...and I love your idea for the chocolate bar.

Jose sent me to your site and I can hardly wait to have time to look through all of your wonderful cards.

I'm so glad she told me of your lovely blog.

Blessings,
Joan from the USA

My card blog is on my sassafras and gingerbread blog, found on my first page.
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! I will go to my little store where I get all of my die cuts tomorrow and see if they have that one. I have something like that one, but none so delicate and beautiful.

This can be an expensive hobby!!

Thanks again.

Joan

My Surprise For Tony!!

As promised, I'm back to let you in on my surprise for Tony tomorrow! Don't know where to start with this but maybe a little personal history first. When I married Tony in 1996 I was a UK size 14. I've always had to watch my weight and never been naturally thin but was never vastly overweight either. In March 1997 I fell pregnant with Lewis and that's when the trouble started.....the weight piled on and after he was born as well because I wasn't eating properly and just grabbing food out of the fridge when I had a spare five minutes.....oh, the joys of being a new Mum! Then I got pregnant again with Sam and even though I didn't gain much more weight during pregnancy, I made up for it afterwards! Am I boring you yet! It took me ten years and many failed diets to finally get serious about losing weight so I started my diet in January this year and this is the evidence....... please do not show the first photo to small children or animals as it may scare them !!!!!...
