Pamper Yourself!

The card I'm posting today is for a friend's daughter who has turned 13 today so Happy Birthday Lisa!! I decided on an "older" themed card as she is very grown up for her age and into all the make-up and pampering which us ladies love but never have much time for!!!



It looks like I've put this together very crooked, however, it's fine in real life - just must be the angle at which I took the photo! Anyway, I've used Underthehood Bella and coloured her with Promarkers and added a little Glamour Dust to the cupcake. Papers are from Pink Petticoat and cardstock is Bazzill. Sentiment is from MFT and I've punched a scallop (SU), layered the sentiment, then cut into the scallop for the flowery effect. Sticky gems are from Papermania and finally, used SU corner rounder punch for various corners on the card

I've now got to walk up to the other end of the village and deliver this as I was late in making it - it's pouring with rain and just to make matters worse, since losing all my weight, I'd never bothered to buy a waterproof coat so looks like I'm going to get VERY wet!! My car is out of action for at least a week! Hope it's a bit drier where you are!

wow, those colours look fab! Great image too, ideal for a 13 year old. Nope, no drier this part of the country. Great day for crafting if only I could stop surfing the net!!

Great card and very grown up. Just right for a 13 year old. I bet she'll love it. Pouring with rain here too. Where's the sun gone? It will be great once the kids and us dinner ladies go back to work lol. Hope you didn't get too wet on your walk. Vicki x

Birthday Blog Candy!

Last of the Whipper Snappers (for the moment!!)

Morning all......is it morning already?!! Had a very hectic night.....got woken up at 1.30 am with the sound of vomit bouncing off the landing carpet!! Sam wasn't very well and didn't quite make it to the bathroom so spent most of the early hours of this morning trying to clean the landing carpet, the carpet in his bedroom, washing bedclothes and cleaning him up!!! Eventually got to bed at 4.30 am then was woken at 9.15 this morning by Sam asking me if I was getting up because his tummy was empty and he was hungry!!! Got to love 'em!! Anyway, at least he's feeling better. Got to try and phone the Carpet Cleaner in a minute and order Sam a new mattress as his is ruined....oh the fun of being a Mother!! Back to business now, here's a card I made during the week with one of my new Whipper Snapper arrivals.
