Sparkly Santa

I've been playing with my craft stash trying to create a traditional Christmas card and although I've recently been using 8" x 8" cards, thought I would return to the smaller size.  I made two of these but with different sentiments. I've used a stamp with I've had for years called Santa Collage and have heat embossed him - unfortunately, the photo doesn't show his sparkle!  I've die cut him with a Tonic die.  The card base has been layered with mirricard and white card which has been embossed with my favourite Sue Wilson embossing folder and attached some silver mesh ribbon onto it from The Ribbon Girl.  Sentiment is from Pink Petticoat die cut with a Spellbinders label die and then made the snowflakes with a Martha Stewart punch, spray adhesive, glitter and a gem from SU.

70th Birthday

Here's a card I finished today which a friend asked me to make for her Mum. I love using these 8" x 8" cards at the moment and managed to fill it with plenty of products!  The image is, of course, Penny Black and is called "A Tender Hug". I've coloured it with Promarkers and added a teeny weeny bit of glitter pen to the flowers.  Image has been cut out with a Woodware punch with a little distress ink around the edge and then layered onto Tattered Lace Studley dies which have been shadowed in pink and white.  This, in turn, has been layered onto white and pink card stock - the white card stock has been embossed with a Sue Wilson embossing folder.  Sentiment is Paper Smooches cut with a Spellbinders die.  I also added Liquid Pearls around the whole card. Crystal numbers are from Dovecraft. All the pretties are from The Ribbon Girl apart from the dazzler with I got from Create & Craft. Finally, I layered the inside with white ...

Happy Birthday Terry!

This image was ideal for the person I needed to make a card for - a friend's husband who works extremely hard and helps me out with jobs as well but who has "his own armchair" where he has his downtime! The image is LOTV from a pre-coloured pad which I love because it saves me a lot of time, papers are My Minds Eye and punch SU on which I have stamped a MFT sentiment. Webbing, string and button from my stash.

Happy Anniversary!

Here's a card which turned out exactly how I planned it which is a first in my own cardmaking experience!  I needed to make a card for a dear friend of mine for her silver wedding anniversary and wanted to make it quite special because I was her only Bridesmaid. This is quite a large card for me - 8" x 8" so for the background I used some silver mirricard and a plain piece of white card which I embossed with a Sue Wilson embossing folder and then sprayed with Spray and Sparkle.  The main image is LOTV taken from one of their art pads and layered this onto a Tattered Lace die which again, had been covered in Spray and Sparkle. Then added some silver mesh, white tulle and crushed silk ribbon together with a couple of silver pins and a dazzler.  Flowers were also given the Spray & Sparkle treatment (I love that stuff!) and finally added a sentiment from Paper Smooches together with some sticky gems.  Must admit I was really pleased with the end re...

Yes, Another Pink Card!

Making good use of the SU pink card stock!  Here's another one, a birthday card made using a DoCrafts topper I found in my stash. The two dies are from Cheery Lynn Designs and Lil'Inkers and the embossing folder is a Sue Wilson design which I absolutely adore!  The fairy cake sentiment came with the topper and adhesive pearls are from HobbyHouse.

(Still) in the Pink!

I seem to be on a roll with the pink card stock at the moment! Here's a couple of cards I've made recently - the first was for a friend's birthday so used one of my all time favourite brands, Penny Black. The image is called "A Tender Hug!" and is coloured with Copics/Spectrum Noir, and added a little glitter to the flowers with a glitter pen.  Cut and layered this image with Nesties.  Base of card is made up with SU card stock, Sue Wilson embossing folder and a die cut from Cheery Lynn Designs (which I made the mistake of sticking on the wrong way because I was distracted with the football on TV!). Sentiment is Paper Smooches stamped onto an MFT die.  Finally, added some flat backed pearls from Hobby House. The second card is for one of my elderly ladies who is currently in hospital.   I've used the Studley set of dies from Tattered lace cut in white and pink and shadowed slightly to give a bit of colour.  The sentiment is from Craftwo...

Pretty in Pink

Here's a card I made recently for a friend who needed something for a Church Blessing following a marriage.  I love this image and do have the actual stamp, but to save time, used one of Lily of the Valley's pre-coloured images…makes life so simple! I used some SU pink card stock then covered it with the Tonic Beautiful Bramble die cut from Centura Pearl card.  The image has been cut with a Nestie then added a bow, flowers and heart hat pin (all from The Ribbon Girl)to finish it.

Gorjuss Bookmark

A quickie bookmark I made with the scraps of paper I've been using for the cards I made recently.  Thought this Gorjuss decoupage image was ideal for a bookmark - very quick to put together!

Gorjuss x 3

Here's a few cards I put together whilst waiting for the dinner to cook…roast lamb, yum!  They're all Gorjuss Girls decoupage with VERY simple layouts but needed some quick cards as my card basket is empty! Hope everyone is enjoying their Easter break.

Easter Treats

Here are a couple of little Easter pouches, filled with chocolate eggs, which I made for a couple of friends. The papers and sentiments, as well as the original design/idea of the pouches is from Pink Petticoat - I just added some raffia, glue and a couple of punches. Super quick and super easy to make!

Hugs

I've really no idea if anyone still visits my blog as I seem to have got out of the blogging habit, however, thought I would share my latest creation.  I find it so hard to make time these days for card making with general life taking over so much but needed a card for a work colleague of mine who has recently had an operation. I've used a Mo Manning image which I've had for ages but had never used before and coloured with Promarkers.  Sentiment is from Paper Smooches and various papers are from my stash as are the gems.  Punch and Paperclip are from SU.

Long Time, No See

It's been such a long time since I last posted on here but trying hard to get back into the habit. I haven't made a card in a long while, instead I've been trying to organise and catalogue my stamp collection and other craft items and I'm slowly (very slowly!) getting through it! One of my clients recently became a Granny for the first time and I wanted to make her a special card so here it is… I've used my favourite baby image - Baby Hammock by Penny Black coloured with Copics and Promarkers with a bit of Glamour Dust for sparkle.  Papers are Magnolia, stitched around the edges and finished off with some flowers (The Ribbon Girl), punched leaves (Martha Stewart), webbing (Bunny Zoe Crafts), Sparkly jewels (Stampin Up)and a Teddy Bear charm from my stash.  Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. This is the inside - not a good photo I know but for some unknown reason my camera was playing up and this was the best shot I could get!  Decorated with Ma...

And A Couple More!

Here's a couple more cards I made with the Docrafts Gorjuss decoupage sets and papers.  Had quite a bit of time on my hands while Sam was ill last week and haven't made so many cards in a long time!  However, now everything is back to normal, back to the boring things like housework and shopping!

A Few Gorjuss Girls

Had some spare time on my hands today while I was waiting for the Plumber to call so put together a few cards using the Docrafts Gorjuss kits. Used dies from SU and MFT and sentiment stamps from Paper Smooches plus Washi Tape from Docrafts Gorjuss range.

Two the Same but Slightly Different!

Not sure if anyone out there in blogland reads my posts any more so if you do visit me, please leave a comment so I know you're there! Here's two cards I made using the Gorjuss papers - I just love these at the moment but this time, decided to use a CC Design image which has remained uninked up until now.  She is called Ice Cream Beatrice and is coloured with Promarkers.  Used some dies from MFT, La La Land Crafts and Fiskars together with some SU ribbon and remainder from my stash.

Simply Gorjuss!

Popped out with my Sister at the weekend to Hobbycraft to get some bits and pieces to make a scrapbook for Sam's London trip and ended up buying some of the new Gorjuss products from DoCrafts which are obviously no good for the London scrapbook! I'm loving the papers in this pack!  Used a separate mini decoupage kit and then just added a couple of bits from my stash and voila...finished!  Might just have to pop up the Range and get a few more of these packs!

New Beginnings

Here's a card I made for one of my crafter friends who's recently moved house...think this stamp is the only one I ever use when making this type of card! The stamp is Whipper snapper and think the papers are MME, used with some mirricard. Sentiment is Papertrey Ink from the Just Hatched set.

Totally Cool!

Thought I would make a quick card using one of my Hobby House toppers called "It's a Guy Thing".  Papers are a mixture but sentiment is from Paper Smooches and die cuts are MFT.

Honey Bee-trice

I've had this little cutie for a while now but hadn't got around to inking her up.  Her name is Honey Bee-trice and she's from CC Designs. She's coloured with Promarkers and the papers are from Pink Petticoat.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches and the die cut is a freebie I received with a recent order from Dies to Die For.  Finally, just added a bit of string, some cardstock from SU for layering and some stitching.

First Christmas Card!

Finally managed to make a start on my Christmas cards and this one's for one of my ladies to gets to spend the winter in Tobago...lucky lady! Used a Penny Black image, coloured with PM's and added some flower soft to the hat for texture.  Sentiment is from The Cats Pajamas and papers are Magnolia.  Ribbons and bells from The Ribbon Girl and used MFT die for the sentiment.
