Happy Anniversary!

Here's a card which turned out exactly how I planned it which is a first in my own cardmaking experience!  I needed to make a card for a dear friend of mine for her silver wedding anniversary and wanted to make it quite special because I was her only Bridesmaid.

This is quite a large card for me - 8" x 8" so for the background I used some silver mirricard and a plain piece of white card which I embossed with a Sue Wilson embossing folder and then sprayed with Spray and Sparkle.  The main image is LOTV taken from one of their art pads and layered this onto a Tattered Lace die which again, had been covered in Spray and Sparkle. Then added some silver mesh, white tulle and crushed silk ribbon together with a couple of silver pins and a dazzler.  Flowers were also given the Spray & Sparkle treatment (I love that stuff!) and finally added a sentiment from Paper Smooches together with some sticky gems.  Must admit I was really pleased with the end result!

I'm entering this card in the Papertake Weekly Challenge "Anything Goes".

Week 2 of Techniques

It’s the second week of Tando’s FB Live and the tutorial was by Jane Royston. This week the colours are more my style. I didn’t have the exact supplies so had to improvise a little. This was the end result... I love doing these tutorials.  I put aside time for me on a Saturday morning and just get lost in the moment...all worries are forgotten for an hour or so.  I would highly recommend it.

Chocolate Somethings

Friday again and Half Term has started! The boys finished school yesterday so hopefully, we've got a fun day together! The challenge on Stamp Something this week is chocolate - everybody's favourite! and there's one stamp I turn to when that word is mentioned. I've followed the sketch on Mojo Monday for this card. The image is from Penny Black and has been coloured with Promarkers. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling and papers are Doodlebug. Matted the image onto some c.s. which has been run through the Cuttlebug and threaded some ribbon through using SU slot punch. Finally added a brad from my stash . A big thank you to Jose for helping me with my images......love the way some of you girls have been putting a sneak peek at the top of your posts and Jose was nice enough (and clever enough) to explain how to do it. Hope you all have a great weekend.
