A Card for Little Bro

Besides working, have been busy preparing for Sam's birthday this weekend. The party bags are done now that I've finished the bookmarks (by the way, entered one of them in the High Hopes challenge last week and won!) Just completed a card for Lewis to give to his little brother - Lewis chose the images, his reason being "Sam likes to read". Can't argue with that!

I love this little chap...he's so cute! He's from Magnolia of course, and so is the pile of books. Both have been coloured with Promarkers and added to the card with some d.s. tape and foam pads. Sentiment stamp is from SU and papers, string, buttons and brads are all from my stash. String is from Leann!

Nearly Friday...I am so looking forward to the weekend, even if I am sharing part of it with ten excited eight year olds!

Week 2 of Techniques

It’s the second week of Tando’s FB Live and the tutorial was by Jane Royston. This week the colours are more my style. I didn’t have the exact supplies so had to improvise a little. This was the end result... I love doing these tutorials. I put aside time for me on a Saturday morning and just get lost in the moment...all worries are forgotten for an hour or so. I would highly recommend it.

Chocolate Somethings

Friday again and Half Term has started! The boys finished school yesterday so hopefully, we've got a fun day together! The challenge on Stamp Something this week is chocolate - everybody's favourite! and there's one stamp I turn to when that word is mentioned. I've followed the sketch on Mojo Monday for this card. The image is from Penny Black and has been coloured with Promarkers. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling and papers are Doodlebug. Matted the image onto some c.s. which has been run through the Cuttlebug and threaded some ribbon through using SU slot punch. Finally added a brad from my stash . A big thank you to Jose for helping me with my images......love the way some of you girls have been putting a sneak peek at the top of your posts and Jose was nice enough (and clever enough) to explain how to do it. Hope you all have a great weekend.
