Bookworm Bookmark

Here's a little something I've been making, in bulk I might add!, to put in party bags for Sam's little friends next week. I've seen some little reading lights which clip on books so thought I would make them a bookmark each to go with the lights. It's funny how things happen because I've been thinking I really must make time to join in a challenge and it just so happens that the challenge on High Hopes this week is bookmarks so think I may have just got in by the skin of my teeth...story of my life!

Have used the High Hopes Bookworm which I've had for a while but it has only just seen ink! Coloured him with Promarkers and then used scraps of MME papers. Added some faux stitching, a giant eyelet from SU and some ribbon from my stash and also rounded all corners with my SU punch.

Have a great weekend...hectic as usual here!

Hi Jo! that's a fabby little bookmark and so nice to have something in a treat bag that can be kept for after the birthday party. Our house plans fell through, but instead we have a new business to build up, not easy but going in the right direction!
enjoy your weekend.

Week 2 of Techniques

It’s the second week of Tando’s FB Live and the tutorial was by Jane Royston. This week the colours are more my style. I didn’t have the exact supplies so had to improvise a little. This was the end result... I love doing these tutorials.  I put aside time for me on a Saturday morning and just get lost in the moment...all worries are forgotten for an hour or so.  I would highly recommend it.

Chocolate Somethings

Friday again and Half Term has started! The boys finished school yesterday so hopefully, we've got a fun day together! The challenge on Stamp Something this week is chocolate - everybody's favourite! and there's one stamp I turn to when that word is mentioned. I've followed the sketch on Mojo Monday for this card. The image is from Penny Black and has been coloured with Promarkers. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling and papers are Doodlebug. Matted the image onto some c.s. which has been run through the Cuttlebug and threaded some ribbon through using SU slot punch. Finally added a brad from my stash . A big thank you to Jose for helping me with my images......love the way some of you girls have been putting a sneak peek at the top of your posts and Jose was nice enough (and clever enough) to explain how to do it. Hope you all have a great weekend.
