Hippy Chick

Hope you've all had a good weekend. The weather improved dramatically today so apart from working first thing yesterday morning, I've had quite a relaxing couple of days, mainly due to the fact that I've had Tony here most of the weekend cleaning the drive and painting the decking so I could sit down and relax. After all our ups and downs, he can still be quite considerate and wanted to take some of the stress off me as he knows how busy I am.....bless lol!

Lewis had a birthday bash to go to yesterday so needed a card for his friend Kea who had reached the ripe old age of 11!

The stamp is from The Greetings Farm and she's been coloured in the usual way with some Sakura glitter pen added to the flower in her hair which doesn't show too well in the photo. Papers are from Blonde Moments and flowers, mirricard, brad and ribbon are all from my stash. Sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. Another simple one but it's the only way I can craft at the moment because of the lack of time I have!

It's my day off tomorrow (yippee!) so Jose is popping down for a visit....plenty of chat and coffee I expect!

My Surprise For Tony!!

As promised, I'm back to let you in on my surprise for Tony tomorrow! Don't know where to start with this but maybe a little personal history first. When I married Tony in 1996 I was a UK size 14. I've always had to watch my weight and never been naturally thin but was never vastly overweight either. In March 1997 I fell pregnant with Lewis and that's when the trouble started.....the weight piled on and after he was born as well because I wasn't eating properly and just grabbing food out of the fridge when I had a spare five minutes.....oh, the joys of being a new Mum! Then I got pregnant again with Sam and even though I didn't gain much more weight during pregnancy, I made up for it afterwards! Am I boring you yet! It took me ten years and many failed diets to finally get serious about losing weight so I started my diet in January this year and this is the evidence....... please do not show the first photo to small children or animals as it may scare them !!!!!...
