A Card At Last!

Well, I've finally done it......made a card at long last! Was planning to have a go at the weekend but ended up spending some time with Tony and the boys so my next plan was to make one on Monday (my day off) but ended up working! Had no choice in the end and had to knuckle down to it last night as I needed a get well card for someone I know who has recently had an operation and who I am seeing today.

I've kept it very simple because of the time restraints and even used up some of my scraps of paper! The image is Nurse Valerie from High Hopes coloured with PMs and used my Sakura glitter pen on her wings. Doodled around the edges and matted her onto Bazzill c.s. Papers are My Minds Eye. Added a couple of sticky gems from Papermania. Now, I'm not sure exactly if the sentiment is from High Hopes or Alota but it fitted the bill so who cares lol!!

Off to work soon but only for an hour or so this morning so have to tackle my own housework when I get back! Have a great day.

PS I did decorate the inside of the card but forgot to photograph it, Doh!!

Week 2 of Techniques

It’s the second week of Tando’s FB Live and the tutorial was by Jane Royston. This week the colours are more my style. I didn’t have the exact supplies so had to improvise a little. This was the end result... I love doing these tutorials.  I put aside time for me on a Saturday morning and just get lost in the moment...all worries are forgotten for an hour or so.  I would highly recommend it.

Chocolate Somethings

Friday again and Half Term has started! The boys finished school yesterday so hopefully, we've got a fun day together! The challenge on Stamp Something this week is chocolate - everybody's favourite! and there's one stamp I turn to when that word is mentioned. I've followed the sketch on Mojo Monday for this card. The image is from Penny Black and has been coloured with Promarkers. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling and papers are Doodlebug. Matted the image onto some c.s. which has been run through the Cuttlebug and threaded some ribbon through using SU slot punch. Finally added a brad from my stash . A big thank you to Jose for helping me with my images......love the way some of you girls have been putting a sneak peek at the top of your posts and Jose was nice enough (and clever enough) to explain how to do it. Hope you all have a great weekend.
